Hey Emergent team đź‘‹

I’ve been using the platform for a while and honestly, it’s got a ton of potential. The LLM key is awesome, but I think a few small tweaks could make it even better.

  • Give new users 15 credits instead of 10. It’s a small bump but helps people explore more without running out too fast.
  • Maybe make it so when the AI asks follow-up questions, it doesn’t use up credits. That’d make conversations feel smoother.
  • Add more built-in tools like temp mail, captcha testing (for legit dev use), and maybe some cool API integrations. That kind of stuff would make Emergent stand out from Replit for sure.
  • Also, clearer info on how many credits each action costs would be nice — like a small counter that updates in real time.

Emergent already feels like something that could go big if these things get added.
Please Like this post so the Emergent dev team adds this 🙌

Hey Moak đź‘‹
Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts — you brought up some genuinely valuable points, and it’s great to see people thinking about how Emergent could grow.

Before anything else, I want to clarify that I’m not affiliated with Emergent and don’t work with the team. These are just my personal thoughts based on how the platform currently operates and what’s realistically feasible from a technical and business standpoint.

1. Increasing the free credits from 10 to 15
I completely understand why this would feel like a small but helpful improvement for new users. However, every credit used on Emergent directly costs the company money. Raising the free allowance by 50% would result in thousands of dollars in additional expenses. For a platform that is still growing, these costs have a significant impact on sustainability.

2. Free follow-up messages without credit usage
Follow-up questions may feel small, but technically they are not. Every follow-up requires the AI to process the entire conversation context, analyze previous messages, perform new reasoning, and generate a fresh completion.
All of this computation has a real cost. Making follow-ups free would be difficult to support financially and would also be vulnerable to abuse, since some users would inevitably stretch conversations to avoid using credits.
From a business and technical perspective, this is not really feasible at the moment.

3. Adding more built-in tools like temp mail, captcha testing, or API integrations
This is a genuinely strong idea. Adding optional built-in tools could help Emergent stand out from platforms like Replit and provide more value without heavily increasing operational costs. This type of feature expansion has real potential.

4. Clearer information about how many credits each action costs
This is challenging to implement. The AI cannot accurately predict the cost of a prompt ahead of time because token usage varies massively based on what the user writes, how much context the model needs to read, and which internal actions or tools get triggered.
The agent does not know in advance how much context it will have to analyze, so real-time cost predictions would often be inaccurate or misleading.
For that reason, providing a precise live counter for every single action is not realistically possible.

Thanks again for taking the time to share these suggestions. They show real dedication and interest in seeing Emergent grow, and feedback like this truly helps the community and the platform move forward. 🙌
