not exactly uncommon for modern decks to have a bunch of small bodies halfway through their combo trying to bait out interactions
this could theoretically help push through or force suboptimal disruptions from the opponent
at the very least, it allows for certain decks without an inherent time wincon to potentially deal some damage in time, and unlike something like dogwood this has other applications aside from exactly being a time card, making it a potential sidegrade

I need some help making a custom rush duel archetype
Basically it’s a few archetypes that acts like 1
The elemental drakes are level 4 cards that have the requirement of needing you to control at least 2 Elemental Drakes. Some examples are
fire letting you deal burn damage
Earth letting you check the top 3 cards of your deck, add a monster, and send the rest back
And wind being the same but with spells/traps
the elemental wyverns are supposed to be a type of evolution to the Drakes. Being level 7, having higher attack, and being able to use stronger effects
But I don’t know what those effects should be, I don’t want them to be TOO strong because these monsters are built to fusion summon into other wyverns with stronger effects
just look at existing rush duel cards for inspiration
See the issue is I’m bad at scaling, like I don’t understand the rush duel meta well enough to not make them stupidly OVER powered or stupidly UNDER powered
well people can critique that after the cards actually exist
Here’s the Drake’s effects (ignore the missing images i don’t have time to make them yet)
The only effects for the Wyverns I have so far is fire dealing 1000 damage (which I think is eh) and water adding 2 spell or trap cards (which I just find lazy but it’s all I could think of)
If anyone has ideas for the wyverns please let me know

Putting the X at 10 for now (also as a reference to Desires I guess, since the main eff is meant to be either a Duality(/Prosp) or a Greed). Not sure where to place it at exactly. Too much and it just becomes a search anything in a highlander builds (but then again, such a deck would suck as is and maybe that's not an issue) or too less and it becomes a no cost prosp. I did the napkin math and it comes out to like 40% for 5 3ofs and 25 1ofs and about 50% for 10 2ofs and 20 1ofs. I didn't do a mix of all 3 variables because the problem space is too fucked then.

Maybe it's intended differently, but the way it is phrased it can't be activated from hand during opponents turn, right? I thought it was meant like you can only use it during the opponents turn (while it is set) if you fullfil the condition of banishing etc.

Fixed smthg that always bothered with the beeg Impcantation, that made the little guys beaters/allowed them to be used for ED plays by negating their locks, but also made their on summon effs useless for some reason.
Now, you get their effs as it goes for example Crealter CL1, Penciplume CL2, so Penciplume resolves before getting its effs negated. Also, made it mandatory, so you can't fuck up this chain and can't chainblock said Impcantations on summon effs with it.

in light of the Hecahands support that i find pretty bad tbh, i made these two cards that i think could fix a lot of the deck's issues
trivia for the cards: the field is called "Orion" after the Orion Constellation where the star Betelgeuse resides, which the whole archetype is based around. Ouranos is based on Greek Mythology, he is the father of the three Hecatoncheires, giants with a hundred arms. Thus why Ouranos' effect helps summoning the three existing level 7 Hecahands

no, cause you said "pure" scrap deck, so a custom card for a lvl 8 Scrap synchro, that has effects for in-archetype, makes sense.
And plus, "Scrap" archetype does not have an in-archetype link-3 monster; just the only link-2 Scrap Wyvern.
But if you wanted not a pure Scrap Deck, then my suggestion would be:
" During your turn, you can reveal one Earth Link monster in the Extra Deck... " and " You can not special summon monsters from the Extra Deck, except Earth Monsters "
This change would give you a hard lock into Earth Extra Deck monsters, but a stupid great advantage of Earth Link monsters, like Saryuja.

For the first effect, is it meant to attach Cyberse you control, or is it even in grave or banishment? I guess, maybe the implication is it can target other Xyz mats too. I think it should just specify the locations it can target (and mats if that is intended) for clarity's sake and possession is a pretty wide pool that includes non obvious things like Extra Deck.

Normal Spell
Banish 1 Toon monster from your hand, Deck, or field; Special Summon 1 monster from your Deck with the same Type, Attribute and Level, and equal ATK and DEF to the banished monster, except a Toon monster. If "Toon World" leaves the field while this card is in your GY: You can add this card to your hand. You can only activate 1 "Toon Adaptation" per turn.
Couldn't find much that this can grab that isn't base form (and some of their retrains), and it doesn't seem good as an engine, so I don't get the usecase for this. I did see a bunch of Sarc stuff, but juggling two decks that want 2 diff spells up without much synergy isn't that good either. There's also the new framebreak DM and BE playable as generics in Toons, but you don't want to play Toon BE much in the deck.
Oh, it gets you to Tachyon Primal too, that's nice. Prob end on a Transmigration using that and a BLS.

As for Archfiend maybe you can make a card that benefits you when you tribute a mini card.
Just changing battle position for advantage
And no making it too broken as common

Would it serve a purpose in the utopia deck? It's mainly meant to help prevent interruption
well yeah it's just a free piece that comes live at like step 2 of your combo and eats all your opponent's interaction on your turn and theirs

nowadays there are xyz monsters that dont use materials
but i still think they should
How should I balance existing effects?
i think both effects should be hopt, the first effect should be simplified (the whole 'more atk than that card' mechanic adds text bloat)
and i'm not sure how the second effect works
or the last effect
it takes control of a monster that already left the field?
The last effect is essentially if you destroy it with a raigeki, your opponent takes control of that raigeki

The more atk part was a reference to zexals general use of high attack beatsticks, and also to keep it both harder to negate, but more specialized in usage. If it was just banish anything, then certain decks could plis

If this card. Would it be banned? Would nibiru even interact with it? Hell considering the amount of cards which negate but don't destroy would it even be meta
well it is generic pretty much. it would depend on what way it was generic
If it stacked on any XYz besides itself
it would be a protection endboard piece which your opponent has to remove first using a non destroy or targeting destroy effect and if your opponent does remove it it does nothing
that's probably not bannable. maybe i'm not accounting for something
anyway, my main concern is that the design is inelegant and overcomplicated, and the way some effects are written goes against the rules of psct
if they were properly written out in psct they would balloon out the text
and it would just be kind of a headache
Thanks for the feedback! I tend to overcomplicate things because I'm a perfectionist
for example, since the first effect negates the opponent's effect, it would have to say "when an opponent's effect resolves that includes one of these things"

the 1st effect should probably be simplified to counter only negation, and not destroy (you shouldn't try to do too many things with one effect)
i would remove the atk comparison as well personally

you would have to say it as "leaves the field to activate an opponent's card or effect"
"or to special summon their monster"? i'm not actually sure how to word it for summoning conditions
