generally, you're only targeting cards on the field, in the graveyard, and banished cards
so you could write beidou's first effect to look something like this

this is probably the cleanest way of making this effect clearer without being too annoying to read

Welcome to Round 33 of the Custom Card Tournament!
Rules
- There will be one Judge, usually the one who won the last contest.
- Cards will be judged based on PSCT, Creativity, Balance, and perhaps other criteria which will be decided by the current Judge beforehand. PSCT is based on the latest available, usually Series 11.
- You can usually only submit 1 card, or 1 series, or 1 archetype, depending on the nature of the competition. You can edit your submission before the deadline arrives as much as you want, but once it arrives you cannot change it.
- You must make your card through some kind of card maker (Duelingbook, TCGEditor, YugiohCardMaker, etc.) and upload it as an imgur image. Cards will be presented at the end with the creator's name and their score in a final ranking.
- The winner of each round will have an opportunity to judge the next round and/or choose the next contest theme. If they do not wish to be the next Judge, they can either let the next in line have the opportunity to be a judge and pick the theme or they can pick a theme and let one of the Assistants act as the Judge over the theme.
- You cannot ask the current Judge for the round to help you with your card. If asking for feedback in the custom card channel, try to make it clear that it's for the competition.
Theme & Deadline
This week's theme is Archetype Crossover cards, more specifically, A Card that belongs to/supports 2 or more different archetypes. They should ideally be part of the archetypes by name, but simply being in the effect is fine. Examples include Performapal Odd-Eyes Seer, Raider's Wing, Crystal Rose, etc. Avoid things like Rokket Synchron where being part of one archetype is merely incidental and Sub archetypes don't count. HERO support doesn't count for both Elemental HERO and Destiny HERO etc.
Try to come up with the most unique and synergistic combinations out there.
The Criteria this time around is same as usual with PSCT, Creativity, and Balance scored out of 10.

'Alternative Shedding'
Spell card.
Add from your field or GY to your hand whose original name is 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' or 'Red-Eyes Black Dragon' and if you do. Add from your deck to you hand one 'Alternative' monster who share the same Attribute as the monster you selected.
If a fusion monster you control whose required fusion material is listed as 'Blue-Eyes White Dragon' or 'Red-Eyes Black Dragon' were to be targeted for a card Effect. You can banish this card from the GY instead.
You can only activate each effect of 'Alternative Shedding' once per turn.

I am half convinced that the reason red-eyes' name was finally changed is simply because red-eyes alternative black dragon's text mistakenly listed the card "Red-Eyes Black Dragon".
(I got another card for both T.G. and Stardust theme synchro decks, but the card Effect is pretty generic so I am not sure if it would be counted as another contender for the contest?)
you might want to get the judge's attention. Otherwise they're not going to notice your question.
(I don't think it would work cause they specifically say it has to belong to at least 2 archetypes not something like 'Call of the haunted' where any deck can use it)

Sure, but it has to properly support the listed archetypes and not just generic Synchro/Tuner support. Also, don't just add a minor effect that mentions all of them and then rest of the effs do their own thing, etc etc. Try to keep in spirit of the contest.

their similarity is being battle-centric EARTH Warrior archetypes
but War Rocks is a battle-phase centric deck while Amazoness is a semi-competent Fusion combo deck after the newest support

Heartless: DARK Xyz Deck like Umbral Horrors, Evilswarms, Phantom Knights, etc.
Nobodys: Synchro Deck that works a bit like Yang Zing
Keyblade Warriors: basicly just Noble Knights but better

Tried to make anime effect Egyptian god upgrades with some twists

Honestly to me it just roughly sounds like this:
This Cards ATK/DEF becomes equal to the combined ATK/DEF of the Monsters that were used to tribute summon this Card. If this Card is special summoned from the GY, this Card gains this Effect: Destroy all Monsters that battle this Card before Damage Calculation.

I mean, you actually don't say you put Spell counters on things as a seperate line. It's inferred from the card effs whether it's a card that spell counters can be placed on. So, it's always a addition of text and only useful for clarificiation/easy look up.

Thanks for all the replies. This was simply an thought experiment how I would redesign the yugioh cards to make them easier to read and more understandable without doing a complete card overhaul like moster people do. Thus the ability names, more space and so on.
@lament bronze Well on vanilla Cards the flavor text is also unnecessary text, but I like them very much for the little Stories they tell. Ability may allow this for effect monsters.

I removed 'effect' because I felt it was unnecessary, because almost every card is a effect card and if not it is easy to see when it is none. I also put the Spellcounter word there to easier identify cards "that you can place a Spell Counter on".

I mean specifically that the card is a broad consistency booster even outside of the mill. it's just gravy instead of being the only reason the card exists and needing to be opened with the right hands. that card you made is useful everywhere and makes weaker cards better which is my ideal kind of archetype support. too often you see what I said or just abandoning an archetype's lesser ideas
