Basically what you need to know setting wise is that it's a superhero-type setting. Powerscale is like, fairly low in terms of raw power, like let's say characters at their strongest could blow up cities.
But I'm struggling with the power for the youngest cast member, a 15 y/o latino (not sure what country yet, thinking mexican) transmac (closeted though, so only one of the heroes (who is an old gay jewish man) knows he's trans)
I haven't super developed him, but I'm thinking he's both young and brash - very eager to prove himself, but also a lot of like self doubt and kinda shy. Absolutely not a people person (but is basically adopted by one of the heroes who is kinda the kamina to his simon)
I am thinking the source of his power might be a family heirloom (setting is mostly magical in nature for powers, but there's a few tech based ones) and I know I want it to be something that he uses exclusively offensively, despite clear defensive utility.
But so far I've moreso figured out what I don't want him to have. I don't want any movement based abilities, I don't want anything based around physical transformation or like directly tied to his physical appearance, I don't want the powers to feel too "gendered" and I don't want his power to specifically be barrier related (because that's already a villain's power)
I did consider if I should tie his powers to something based around his cultural heritage, but in a way that wouldn't be too sterotypical

Provided an advanced enough civilisation I don't see why not, ||it upgrades but it doesn't change the nature of what it is fundamentally, so if humanity had made a device that can change your outfits, the ichor could upgrade it to be different armour suits||

First sentence is strong, though "giant abomination" is nagging at me for some reason. You could remove "-colored".
I'd consider rewriting the second sentence, maybe lead with the hollow pits & then introduce its eyes being elsewhere

I was trying to write a Pokemon isekai story.

How would a Pokemon Isekai be different from just regular pokemon protags

I mean notably you have an alien perspective on the world, having never actually interacted with real pokemon before.
If you want to do it for a game, you could theoretically work to stop whatever world ending threat there is before it becomes a problem.
Additionally, unlike the protagonist, a traveler from another world would have no family or friends to aid them, so wherwd they get money, food or pokemon from?
And then you could go the mystery dungeon route and make them turn into a pokemon.
I think theres plent avenues, and im p sure alot of these have been explored before
I know theres a popular pokemon isekai on royalraod, though ive never read it, and probably hundreds more on that site and ao3, ff.net and the like, if you want to find inspiration, nat
