Which is why staple cards are on Limited 3.

Okay, I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. Duel Links has felt no longer fun to me. Not even new characters can salvage it. My main issue is a fundamental one, and it's the sheer amount of grind to get anywhere in the game. From a design standpoint, it's designed to be as P2W as possible, and no simple ways to get higher rarity box cards with a craft system or anything, and the resource of gems may as well be scarce, which of course, leads to money spending, and the less said about the Structure Decks and Selection Boxes, the better. The overall break I took from the game lead me to realize I fell into a sunk cost fallacy, one that I'm trying to overcome.

I agree to some extent. The current format has been pretty stale ATM. I'm not having much fun with PKs or any of the nerfed meta decks.

It also doesn't help that the selection box staples(IDP, Compulse) is every where.

I still do enjoy new boxes though, whether it be to buy, or watch people buy it lol

Oh, for sure, but for some reason, Master Duel feels... I don't know, more generous, if you know what you're doing.

As I don't invest on decks too often, and I only use gems when I tend to invest on resources, currently I'm topped off gems.

And of course, that costs money, and lots of it, and the Limited 3 staples are like everywhere and a must for most decks that can afford to use them-.

At that point, the game becomes a place where only whales can survive.
