She's witherbloom, which means that's made of like moss or something
sometimes people are white
I refuse to believe it, there's no way
Komi white women can have children too
Can any of you tell me what the omenpaths version of Spider-Man India was? I’ll wait
ngl forgot spider-man india even got a card 😂
Loool
idk like half the spider cards are better and half the omenpath cards are better
This art is ridiculously good
I don't think either is objectively better
It's way better than the UB version
Is this new?
[[!King of the Coldblood Curse]] is my favourite
Wait this is pretty good for a dress down on a body
[[zora, spider fancier]] is one of my favorite changes
I like all the weird people who have to care about the spiders
What the fuck is his problem
i wonder what the in universe version of the galactus card was gonna be
We won't get one now 🙁
:(
we'll have to wait for edge of eternities 2 in order to get another fleem...
he was such a scrunkly scrimblo
Although actually this change is so late that they almost certainly have the art for Omenpaths 2 sitting around
maybe we can get fleem 2 as an alchemy card
I'd at least like an art gallery for the unused art
Since all these artists worked on it
What didn’t make sense about the arena art change, is that supposedly, Spider-Man was one of the few UB sets that artists were allowed to sell prints and stuff for
Which if you know how anal Disney is about their IP’s, is pretty damn shocking
marvel has been letting its comic artists do that for a long time so it's no surprise to me that they'd be cool with it
Yeah, but the reason artists are usually not allowed to sell prints for X UB set is because that IP usually doesn’t have a relationship with so and so artist
Though I guess if the rumors are true, Disney was extremely involved with the art direction of this set
word
Luis
100x better
wtf
He’s not acting his age on Twitter! Bottom text!
I mean Shatner is just kind of a huge asshole
Not like canceled or anything
But he's kinda just a huge dick so it's surprising to see him not be a huge dick here
He’s also responsible for Tekwar the game, his crimes are numerous
Oh right it's because he doesn't do his own tweets anymore
They took his Twitter away last year
Did William shatner get sponsored by Kellogg or something
He has been for a while apparently
Wouldn’t know I don’t keep up with his life
You don't Google "william Shatner" every morning before getting out of bed? Unrealistic
The Raisin Bran is where the Shat comes from, you see
there's a "shat the bed" joke somewhere there i won't make

Hell yeah, I shat the bed every morning
star trek would be a very different show
a better one
that boldly goes to actually interesting places
Star trek the original series: what if women... had rights
Star trek next generation: what if robots had rights
Star trek deep space nine: what if shapeshifters had rights
Star trek voyager: what if we made the audience want to kill a cat man
star trek enterprise: what if we did the mirror universe again, are people sick of that yet?
Chat
Stupid idea
Uhhh what if i run silverquil charm over lightning helix
In 4cc
is there something you really wanna exile
you don't get the life gain if you hit a creature which sounds like a massive downside
They wanted to show off the archive art can u blame them
Show it to me to kill my cat lol
I think he boarded it to kill my kiki jiki token actually?
kind of a wild meta. ik ppl were gonna be ready for storm but wow
I saw that and my initial thought was “what’s a standard deck doing in historic”
And then I remembered
Standard is just the GOAT format
Silly me for ever doubting it
this is a much more evil version of that deck
it gets to play a really strong mana base + other real threars
also positioned extremely well vs probably one of the strongest mtg storm decks
of all time maybe?
Well sure, but the core is still reliant on the fact that high noon + aven are extremely goated cards together
i fuck with historic storm heavy rn
honestly i'd say spell queller is the more important guy
but interrupter is key too ofc
[[spell queller]]
i think cheatyface is one of the all time funniest uncards tbh
Yeah, big fan of cheatyface
It is crazy that Deadpool is legal but Super Duper Death Ray isn't lol
[[flame spill]] does functionally the same effect as death ray but phrased differently
novice necromancer is a really cool card both flavorwise and the way it plays
wtf is hells cube
series of cubes with custom cards designed to be wacky
also it's spelled hell scube
man white anything tempo midrange is giga lit
also damn this atraxa card is pretty broken

I didnt know Yummy got to MTG
4-0 with boros in pick2
omg I forgot about Cryptic Spires
New foundations reprint unlocked someone just played muldrotha against me @golden plover @twilit canyon
They should’ve made a foundations commander set specifically for all the weirdo legends they reprinted for that shit
honestly lol
Looks good
Welp I just got called the fun police for pointing out that a stax piece someone’s playing hurts them much more than anyone else they would play with
Who plays thorn of amethyst in a spellslinger deck
maybe they like pain
They went on to complain about how they weren’t able to do everything they wanted
Maybe the thorn of amethyst was the issue, who knows
[[thorn of amethyst]]
Why did they play it
Something about them not liking board wipes???

Like bro my board wipe will only cost 1 more but your turn will cost 1 morbillion more
use a protection / counterspell
Oh trust me
That’s come up
Answer is usually some variant of “I don’t wanna play cedh” or “I don’t want people to not do their thing”

Then why are you playing thorn of amethyst 😭
You play with the most interesting ppl, Mr mudkip
Welcome to LA
why are you concerning yourself with ragebait humanized
different locals too?
Stories come from a variety of locations, including times where I’m out of state
dang locals finding skill issue honestly
have you ever tried playing vs humans or do they only have lizard people in LA
@subtle sierra https://fxtwitter.com/lsdeltour/status/2058539864249786805?s=46&t=DdUsqNPs-c3IFDRYOhiq8A
the best player you never heard about pulled out a detailed sideboard guide of one of the top deck in standard with a RC top 4 to boot
Quoting Kelvin Chew (@KelvinCh3w)
︀
Top 4 at the SEA Regional Championship with 4-Color Control. Manage to secure the PT invite. Here’s the sideboard guide for anyone looking to pick up control in standard
Where’s the lizard person
The person whose pov this is in. Theyre playing a 5 pod
they have red spells in hand, lizards are rakdos
June 26th
Lock in, I still haven’t seen you attend a prerelease
Tomorrow we get MaRo teasers for Marv
well we were talking about duel commander the other day
looks like they decided on violence again
Duel Commander May 25, 2026 Announcement/Update #mtg
Emry, Lurker of the Loch; Najeela, the Blade-Blossom; and Winota, Joiner of Forces return on an experimental basis.
https://t.co/e3mm0oviFp
Glad to see theyre not cowards
HOLY
Najeela/Winota are w/e but emry is a really scary unban
I guess without crypt it’s probably fine…?
But emry is always a scary card
Id love to believe Mark on this but UB products seem to have a way of breaking these "expectations"
And by way I mean of course; money
Who the fuck is speccing on dragons maze boosters? They're like $100 a box now
Emry’s scary but it’s 1v1 and it’s a lot harder to cast her now (well it’s still pretty easy)
Casting her is still pretty easy she just doesn’t enable as many broken things as she used to
You don’t have stuff like mopal and crypt anymore to have infinite mana on turn 2
Also scryfall implemented premodern/dc/pedh into the format list neat
People must really want their... oh wow Master of cruelties, at a coooool $5
I'll see if I can attend this one
I just didn't really care for the cards last set
What do you even do for the next 4 sets?
Literally cannot think of enough content to make that work
you can absolutely do an x-men set
Feels like it'd be awkward as fuck when every card has the typeline "Legendary Creature - Mutant Hero"
It’s pretty easy to do multiple sets for marvel
Old school marvel would be one of them if we really wanted to stretch it out
Ok wait
Can someone explain a ruling for me
I can't believe I never asked this before
And just accepted it to be true
When my opponent responds to some spell I use with aven interrupter, why does the spell not actually resolve? It's not being countered
Creature — Bird Rogue
Flash
Flying
When this creature enters, exile target spell. It becomes plotted. (Its owner may cast it as a sorcery on a later turn without paying its mana cost.)
Spells your opponents cast from graveyards or from exile cost
more to cast.
2/2
Sure but it's not being countered
Am I missing something with how exile works? Isn't it just like banish in ygo?
if the spell leaves the stack, it wont resolve
Oh I see
same thing with effects that end the turn like [[time stop]] since they exile the spell
[[divide by zero]]
yoooooo
don't get me wrong it looks very pretty but like
can you even name a single mode of kozilek's command from memory
Counter target colored spell?
Something about making Eldrazi spawn?
Destroy some sort of permanent?
I got part of one right and there's 4 lol
exile mv x and exile from gy are different modes
ye
make x spawns
This is a different card
[[warping wail]]
counter target colored spell is [[null elemental blast]] i think
Too many modal colorless counter spells
Not enough*
Thank you, son
the toph and zhulodok decks were very funny btw
also the one guy kept like mulled into the worst hand icl
it was like land go for 3 turns the thrasios kid
Yeah I just finished watching the episode, Toph seems fun, just a little one note
🕵️
karen is a bitch
Love that it's a 3/3 for 3 that can't be blocked and sometimes turns off Lifegain if that matters
Jeskai drugs
Before previews for _Magic: The Gathering | Marvel Super Heroes_ officially begin, I thought it would be fun to do another of my Duelist-style teasers where I give hints of things to come.
First up, here are some things you can expect:
• Some creature tokens: legendary 1/1 blue Bird Scout, 1/1 red Alien, 1/1 green Minion, legendary 2/2 green Cat, and 3/3 colorless Robot Villain artifact
• A new enchantment subtype
• A flavor word that references an Un- card
• A modal card that lets you choose up to X modes
• Another card that lets you cast a subset of cards off the top of your library
• An activation with six different mana symbols
• A CARD NAME IN ALL CAPS WITH AN EXCLAMATION POINT!
• A creature that can copy three different card types
• A subtype last seen in a Standard-legal set over two decades ago
• A card that can tap for four mana in any combination of colors
Next, some cards will feature the following rules text:
• "Enchanted creature becomes a copy of that creature unti...
Dude UB typeline bloat is crazy. Why is Inhuman its own typeline?
They're like different in a way that shouldn't be super meaningful for card purposes
They are
Especially considering they're still given Mutant in their typeline
I assume there will be cards that care about Inhumans specifically
I guess so? But I don't really feel like Inhuman should've been their own typeline
Theres just no other way to have that kinda synergy unique to them in MTG
The all caps one is clearly HULK SMASH! Right?
Pauper Dredge is so fun
dack cooked again
ketramose draws you a morbillion cards
That's not a kill
academic has haste lifelink and gets counters cause you have cards leaving the yard
you hit with flying 20/20
Oh i forgot that

Bag of Holding this L
Hmmm this is pioneer legal too
Cant run Phelia or Emperor of Bones, but all three cards for the combo are legal
🕵️
I had to check which one was the standard symbol for a second
That Wolverine is pretty interesting
Got very scared we were abt to have ritual in standard
WotC Pushing the black agenda. (It would just make Dimir/grixis the best decks)
wolverine is very cute ngl
like idk power wise
but it's a very cute design
i think power wise he's strong too
It would prob be a decent card if gruul were colors ppl played
that is also true
but i think having a haste guy that removes another guy and can still go face is decent
wish it had like 4/4 and not 3/5 tho
Yeah I mean as an actual card this is good
3/5 is a pretty decent statline for the stuff he wants to do at least
Does the healing happen before he takes new damage
yes
ye
he hits smth and the dmg doesn't matter for his attack
and you can't ping him to death with multiple red removals
i think that's the decent part here
Hopefully marvel gives green more good fight spells to go with it
Meltstriders is a good card in gearhulk but p bad aside from that lol
am i a bad person for wanting a good 2 cost counter in the set since nml is rotating in half a year
Yes actually you are
Msh should have grixis cards though so there will prob be something in there
Or if not fracture will most likely have some sort of fucked up weirdo counterspell
Colorshifted mana leak or something
uhh i'm not sure we're doing color breaks that set besides "what if this character was a diff color"
There aren’t color breaks but there are shifts
Snappy to red
Blue is not the only color with counterspells…
Creature — Vampire
Haste
When this creature enters, you may pay
any number of times. When you pay this cost one or more times, put that many +1/+1 counters on this creature, then exile up to that many target instant and/or sorcery cards with mana value 3 or less from your graveyard and copy them. You may cast any number of the copies without paying their mana costs.
2/2
That’s what I mean
Snapcaster effects aren’t out of red colors
So stingcaster or whatever his name is isn’t a color break
It’s a… shift
oh i might have read wrong again
i really need a vacation
wow is otj commander icon really just the same icon with a shield behind

A counterspell in BW colors wouldn’t be entirely out of the blue for example
Give solar no more truths
Fracture has like infinite room for things it can print
I’m not trying to set my expectations too high but the stuff it’s already shown is p sick

In reality fracture… they say google docs me…
You know what’s funny, hit monkey is unironically something that green desperately needs in standard
That card would have been nice in the main set
I’m assuming it was too overturned for the limited environment
Ya that feels like it would’ve been a little strong
But conversely it seems p bad in commander no?
Isn't that dark ritual card banned
Dark ritual is being printed in the commander set
It’s only banned in historic
It is simply not legal in standard/pioneer/modern because they don’t print it in sets that go to those formats
depends who you ask
I guess it’s banned in oathbreaker too but that’s a fake format
CRINGE
Well as a rule of thumb if a reprint looks too insane to be true it probably is
The real rule of thumb is that if you look on the lower left, and the set code ends with a C, the C most likely stands for Commander
It can but commander power level/card design is very very different from 60 card formats
Why does that matter
Because then you’re printing cards with will of the council in standard

[[expropriate]]
Sorcery
Council's dilemma — Starting with you, each player votes for time or money. For each time vote, take an extra turn after this one. For each money vote, choose a permanent owned by the voter and gain control of it. Exile Expropriate.
Few things are more valuable than time or money—and Leovold has plenty of both.
easier to sell direct to commander sets means more money because commander players buy them which means you print more
No I mean just don't print a card like this
Like if you just had the "normal" set
Those cards would be legal in standard and commander
Well expropriate is a bad example because most people would be happy if it didn’t exist anyways
Like the normal secrets of strixhaven set
Would add cards to both standard and commander
But there are a lot of cards that ppl actually like that involve having more than 2 players
Son commander is the most popular and more importantly lucrative format in mtg
That already exists, cards say "each opponent" and "target opponent"
It’s more likely they stop printing non commander sets before they stop printing commander sets
This phrasing literally only exists because of commander in the first place
I’m not a big toucher
Yeah so why do we need more cards
ITS SO TROLL
LIKE WHAT THE FUCK JUST PRINT A NORMAL SET LIKE HUMANS AND LET COMMANDER PLAYERS DO WHAT THEY WANT
We also used to get sets that went straight to modern and skipped standard
Different formats have different power levels mean you need cards with different strengths to affect the format in a notable way
They used to do this and everybody hated it, led to some of the most boring and abominable standards ever
How
The standard set is unchanged
If you never printed commander sets, the standard card pool would be exactly the same as it is now
Because designing a single set with multiple formats in mind means the cards in the set wind up very differently lol
No, don't design it with multiple formats in mind
I hate to tell you they will never not be creating cards for commander
Just design it with standard in mind, and let the other subhumans do what they want
Commander’s existence as the backbone holding up MTG, changed how sets were designed
This is the financial equivalent of a genesys player asking Konami to only make cards for their format
If standard sets were solely designed for standard play, you would see some of the absolutely, most boring designs
Zendikar rising standard…
Yep
I still don't get this, what are they designed for? Commander has a commander set
you say used to like mh3 wasn't recent
Was mh3 not like 3 years ago now lol
FIRE design became a thing with WAR/Throne of Eldraine
And it fundamentally changed how sets were designed
No what I'm asking is what formats are the current standard sets designed for
sounds troll
They also design cards with nonrotating formats in mind now. Additionally, legendary glupshitto slop is a result of commander
Why have a separate set in the first place then
If the cards in the standard set are designed for commander (as well as other formats), why have a separate commander set?
The “commander” set is just a precon with like 10 new cards and the rest reprints
Something like abigale is a card that’s perfectly fine in standard, but they made her a legendary specifically because of commander
Also that
It’s not really its own set lol
They’ve also cut down on the amount of commander precons we get with each set
90% of the sets are reprints
At one point we were getting 4 per set
Now, it looks like we’re getting anywhere from 0-4. And the Marvel set having 4, makes sense given the nature of the IP
But Avatar had no commander precons, Spiderman had no commander precons, TMNT had 1
On the other side, stuff like [[ominous harvest]] is pretty unprintable in a set that would go into standard/modern but is very cool to have in commander
- it allows them to print cards for commander that don’t waste slots in 60 card sets
We also sometimes get some neat and easily accessible reprints for legacy formats in those precons
There was a point in time where the precons were highly anticipated to see the reprints in them as well
Moonshaker is a good example from recent times
Also speaking of moonshaker im sad that woe is rotating soon
That set has some of my favorite cards from the last few years of standard in it
Yeah like up the beanstalk
U found the one person in this server who liked that card
I was a beans abuser
I also thought that basically all the dual color adventure guys were incredibly cool
Heartflame duelist is still one of the coolest cards I’ve played with in a very long time
Cauldron created some very cool decks (vivi aside), bargain was a really cool mechanic
Just a very fun set
Role tokens were really cool even if most of them weren’t real in standard
I know it’s probably very far down the list for planes to revisit but I hope we go back again sometime
I’m also gonna miss otj oko he was so cool even though i only ever played him in one deck
On the other hand I won’t miss bloomburrow fuck those rabbits word me @twilit canyon
yea
? I’ve been the biggest beanstalk supporter since before you could walk
Well aside from you kid
But you’re barely even a person
Only had to go because everybody was a pussy
What cake is saying is facts
It didn’t actually have to go until right before Lorwyn
Hell yeah I’ll take it
So as cringe as the babified titan decks are, I do admit brewing and playing them are pretty damn fun
Should I be evil and bring Ms Bumbleflower to locals this thursday?
Is bumbleflower evil?
Damn they really went out of their way for the gooners for miku’s commander ||yes this is a joke yes the joke is that she populates every turn||
Grouphug innit, bad reputation
Small indie devs
yes
The stuff I am allowed to do with the deck and they still dont catch on is very much evil
I think it’s more of players being too greedy and not good enough at figuring out her threat that’s inflating her stock
Among the evils in my own list I have: Rapidly growing Hydra to eat you, I draw 3 extra cards minimum each turn, +4/+4 worth of counters on every creature I cast, and opponents trample each other to death
oops wait mistake on one of the cards I screenshotted
I don’t see any threat here
fixed the mistake, the text scratched out in pink doesnt exist to me
Goddamn, Secret Lairs have gotten so bad they're selling out before they're even announced
I even have pocket thespian's depths, surely this bird is not grabbing William Shakespeare's theater and Maritlage, go on take your free land, give in to temptation
I’ve yet to see any out of the ordinary or anything evil
Hit em with the collective voyage/tempt with discovery/minds aglow and they'll think your jesus for the rest of the game meanwhile it's just more mana and cards for the Satan engine
the more experienced people get the less they'll go for it and make you waste mana
ppl talk about ms bumbleflower at times like they do king von
but all i see
fwiw this is how commander players speak of cards a lot of times
i remembered being harassed at the table for the threat when all i had was knuckles and a mana dork vs the guy to my right who just deployed his 15th mana source with a commander that drew cards
too many people ignore mana
Bruh you had knuckles everyone knows he's stronger than sonic physically and sonic is multiversal of course youre the threat
If I'm adding collective voyage, it has to be the Chandra one
and its around 6-8 dollars
[[minds aglow]]
Picked these up @sleek ferry @atomic harness @knotty ferry
Good job
holy that sire of seven deaths is hot
The alt enduring arts are so good
Word
Picked these up like a week ago little less shyni still Nice
Nice
yea i think im done with all their fractures. Idk what deck has my green one atm lol.
So the Iron Man one is in the equipment deck
to double up on your mana rocks and equipment
That’s cap probably
Like cap is commander and we know what hé does
I don’t like these new leaks because they’re proxies and the Wolverine one was weird af
a friend of mine was weirded out by "healed"
Yeah that one
?????????????
Izzet...
Me when I don’t know how to count
"Healed" is really weird and feels really fake lol
There's not rules precedent for what the term means
I know it's a real card, but the wording feels wrong
[[wolverine]]
Can someone show me the weird "healed" card
Reminder text also isn't rules text
[[Obsidian Fireheart]] says "the land continues to burn"
How else would you word it then
It’s not exactly an effect that’s been replicated before
Something like [[Ancient Adamantoise]]
Basically "remove damage from this creature before damage is dealt"
And what exactly is wrong with using a different word instead of “remove all damage from this creature”
Healing isn't a thing defined in the rules
It's one of those things where it makes sense to read, but it's not how cards work
Healing isn’t a thing defined in the rules because this is the first time it’s ever been a word used on an mtg card. They could’ve put reminder text on the gatherer (maybe they will!) but there’s nothing wrong with keywording something because it wasn’t already defined
Yeah true. It just reads like a custom card and is kinda silly lol
I’m still skeptical of these leaks because they’re printed on proxies
It’s a UB card with a new mechanic shrug
They look good set code wise, etc
Sure but we’ve seen enough of those for someone to feasibly fake those
Fair
Ya know, after playing her in Pioneer, they should print Thalia into standard
Her and [[Archon of Emeria]]
we don't need death and taxes tainting yet another format
print archon of emeria into standard to make azorius flash the only viable deck sure
actually though modern death and taxes is so outside of death and taxes that i'm surprised some people still call it death and taxes
I mean, you can just spend your one spell to kill him
Thalia tho, would be great in standard rn
Force the Izzet decks to play fair
no it just forces every deck to die
the deck plays out in historic in such a way where if you are not able to answer their high noon and/or archon, its already gg
its a perfect lock unless they stumble and even/if
nah it makes ramp a lot better too
how do they resolve spells after tho
Yeah ramp can play under archon fine
And every color can use their one spell to kill the archon
sure if they didnt already play a high noon
in theory ramp drops bombs every turn but yeah ramp will lose gas or their life faster than it mattering
you need to answer high noon + archon + get this past aang + interruptor + captain
Morseso I want Thalia in standard, but I really want something to slow down izzet
and denial magic that they play
And watching Izzet hit a wall to Thalia + Archon in pioneer feels great
you already have something to slow down izzet
idt izzet is even a massive issue
I dunno, I took a break from standard since the format feels too rock paper scissors rn
Maybe it'll be good again soon
But it feels like all the matchups are decided by looking at the opponent's deck most of the time
That's honestly what the data supports rn too
Every deck has winrates that suggest you mostly know the result the second you see the matchup
It'll rotate, but I'll get printed in Marvel Superheroes as "Avengers Tower" which is the same thing but if you play a Hero you can untap it or something
Marvel has been doing these card image covers starting with images from the Spider-Man set. They’re just leaks from what the covers are
Also [[Time Stop]]
I keep forgetting this is legal in standard.
Reminder text isn't rules text tho
It's like regenerate using it in the reminder text
Also [[Ultima]] came after this and words it normally
Sorcery
Destroy all artifacts and creatures. End the turn. (Exile all spells and abilities from the stack, including this card. The player whose turn it is discards down to their maximum hand size. Damage wears off, and "this turn" and "until end of turn" effects end.)
"Such devastation ... this was not my intention!" —Gaius van Baelsar
Lore Question: Which Titans did Klothys bind? [[Binding of the Titans]] depicts four of them and only one seems to have a card. Looks like one is Uro
Enchantment — Saga
(As this Saga enters and after your draw step, add a lore counter. Sacrifice after III.)
I — Each player mills three cards.
II — Exile up to two target cards from graveyards. For each creature card exiled this way, you gain 1 life.
III — Return target creature or land card from your graveyard to your hand.
Oh the other one is Kroxa, but the back two don't look like a titan we've seen
If we ever go back to theros we’ll probably get more of them
Another lore question: What the fuck plane is [[Archon of Cruelty]] from?
His mount doesn't match any plane we've seen archon on yet and there's bolas spires in the background
Apparently Archavios has Archons???
Yeah Cruelty seems to be from the meditation realm

Unrelated, y'all remember when people wanted Enduring Curiosity banned lmao
no
yes
i was one of them
i hate the cat
this guy sees a flash draw engine for creatures and his vision goes red
coastal piracy is fair, little one
card is the definition of snowball
and its extremely hard to permanently remove in a lot of spots
yep affinity's amazing in the current format
great matchups to the top decks (well most of them at least) and very easy to play ignorant and go all in
and as we all knew, boros isn't dead lol

We might be back @fallow citrus
It left when mopal got banned kid
yeppers
meltdown x = 1 gg
I'll have a meltdown
Rhinos in A 👀
i also saw an affinity player get savaged by force of despair end of turn
affinity's been back for years now, you late
Oh this one's good
how i feel about affinity's just like how i feel about titan over the years but actually a lot easier
you weren't on scrying before?
you werent on all 3?
i like how titan's newest variant is shaving down on titan but still running 61 cards
there's an argument for running 2 twest now
At the time ppl wanted it it really wasn’t an unreasonable ask
That card was the face of dimir as much if not more than Kaito
archangel of tunes seems like one they've been holding onto for a while
True. Card needs a regular reprint
Seems weird to focus on +1/+1 counters when Trostani is typically token spam tho
Torstani makes you gain life
I get the feeling this deck will be built around a couple GW legends you can swap around
Trostani and Shalai now do support your thesis
Damn don’t tell me this is going to be a half assed angels deck instead of a focused populate deck
I'm more confused it is just all miku
Hopefully there will be more miku lore or outfits than just the stock
I’m happy they finally figured out how to draw miku without making her look like a miku cosplay
Or an alien
True
At least Miku looks okay now
But the board is gonna be hard to read if they're all just Miku
this is a plus to ppl
I need copy tokens that are all miku
this whole thing is part of hasbro's nefarious scheme to get jesper elsing to draw miku again
Glad to see Mr. Minibata still posting hammer decks that are absolute trashy cope
Thank you son

If it wasn't clear it's just phlage with a thor image on it

It's Pride Month, time to bust out my Doctor Who decks
Surely this won't be a terrible idea
Ranked brawl sounds funny
I sort of wish they’d formalize 1v1 cedh but using brawl’s ruleset
Wait they banned the super sweaty commanders from ranked but not unranked
Surely that won't be a bad idea
It probably wont lol
It’s literally not a status quo change for (unranked) brawl at all
they already tried this before, it worked decently
Brawl was fine before it won’t suddenly become unplayable because ppl play ranked brawl instead??
I really do wish they'd copy the banlist though. nobody wants to play vs ajani or tamiyo
It’s weird but I don’t think it’s a huge deal
Esp some of the more niche things they banned
I played against rusko like twice ever lol
I think rusko is less terrifying than it used to be, but the big thing was a really hard to interact control game plan considering they can blink rusko and eventually they just get a free timetwister
I think in ranked brawl it's much more terrifying when you have to deal with cards like mana drain, free counter spells and the likes
I’m aware that rusko is really gross
I say free counter spells but it's really just the commander cycle
I just mean that a good number of the cards they banned in ranked are not super popular as is in unranked brawl
are you sure you're playing commanders that match into it
Yes
¯_(ツ)_/¯
all ik is the current ranked bans were done with numbers after their previous test
As far as I’m aware hell queue also would still exist after this…?
yeah that's the only reason they haven't carried them over
I was still kinda surprised to see tajic on the list but ig people just did board wipe tribal or something
I’m not disagreeing with the ban. All I’m saying is that I think it’s pretty fine to leave a lot of those cards untouched in unranked brawl where A) people don’t build them good
and B) hell queue still exists
Also is the ranked brawl banning newdu or actual nadu
I still would’ve liked to see ajani/tamiyo/ragavan specifically go because they’re obnoxious both in the command zone and in the 99
The other ones idgaf
I think vivi is worth trying again
yeah they're way too much value, especially dropped on curve
I actually played tamiyo in brawl for a while but I stopped bc it was legit hydrogen bomb coughing baby
I flipped her t1 a few times and it was just. Holy
like tamiyo brainstorm? yeah that's impossible sometimes
Tamiyo + 1 mana + brainstorm
low-key tempted to run a reanimator deck to see how many times I can cheese ardyn ulamog, but that's probably too unreliable without stickfingers
And then it’s like actually trivial to do so on t2
Isn’t there another commander who does something similar to stickfingers
is there?
honestly ardyn release made me kinda sad cause stickfingers was a fun reanimator commander before then
I swore
There’s rainbow bridge for poggy woggies
Which is still pretty cheese but not reanimator
buried alive is stickfingers lol
Wdym
Anyways I guess there isn’t a reanimator commander who can do the same cheese shit as stickfingers but there’s a couple diff commanders who can let u cheat him
that's the only thing I can think of that's close
dumping specific creatures on cast is pretty bonkers with a discard and ramp suite
Oh like that yeah
But like there are still plenty of commanders who let you cheat big guys super efficiently
Ralph and Mikey…
raph and mikey fold to the color black
they're annoying but losing to instant speed removal is a gaping hole
etali is raph and mikey but better
Stickfingers folded to a lot of stuff too tbf lol
yeah but they have the color black as well so you get to run discard spells
Imagine a U/B stickfingers…
Nah, the 0-1 card combo requires green
Blue might have enough pieces to replace but I don’t want to lab
I would have to assume it does
And surely even if not the upside of getting better insulation against hate would be worth
Maybe but since it’s 1v1 stickfingers has amazing hand attack to ensure the combo goes through
Blue is probably not necessary
Well I guess we’ll never find out anyways because he’s banned gg
For good reason
well you can still play him in hell queue at least
Kinda wanna try brawl now lol
Is there a good site to find brawl decks? I found aetherhub but anything else?
Not sure, starting with who you wanna put at the helm helps though
You got shown the Logo generator too
ye
I was today years old when I learned you can drag cards from EDHREC/Scryfall to Moxfield to add them to your deck
what do people think about duel commander? the guy running a couple shops near me seems to want to start some 1v1 cedh league but idk if he knows about the existence of duel commander or if he's trying to make a new format altogether
Was playing hearthstone again recently and I do wonder how strong some of these cards would be in mtg
Why did the crop on these shift

monstrous mosquito would be way too powerful
morbid swarm would also probably be too good
chillfallen baron would be fine
raincaller would be pretty good i think
Morbid swarm would for sure be too good, Baron is pretty ass, raincaller sort of exists, and mosquito is probably fine
Raincaller is show off kinda
You trade the burst for a bigger ass tho
And it being perma
i think mosquito is just way too good for a one drop
Raincaller is much worse than show off
swarm is ridiculously above rate for a 1 drop in mtg
i don't think they've ever printed a 1 mana make two 1/1s in mtg
Either side of swarm is above rate at 1 mana
Actually maybe not the damage part, just depends on if it’s easier to make corpses or get a creature on board
Baron is up ass tho
Well to translate just pretend it’s exile 2 creatures from gy
Oh huh
That’s actually really good
For any standard set either side of it’s too good, having both together is way too good
Interesting
the damage isn't that far above rate. compare [[flame slash]] or [[galvanic discharge]]
I’m also curious about these
platysaur seems very good
everburning phoenix would be great in storm, assuming it has flying and an entirely generic mana cost
hatchery helper is probably not good enough to see play in constructed
Huh, surprisingly MTG did indeed never create a 1 mana that g
Gives you two 1/1s
There’s like 20 versions of that with upside in hs
There is a bunch that do on death, but you never get both at once
The thing is, I'm not even sure sorcery speed create two 1/1s would actually be too strong.
i have no idea how to evaluate this
but i think it would probably be very good
usually wheel effects like this cost at least 3 mana
I mean it’s the most terminally fair but good card in hs
Every deck minus aggro runs it more or less
Or well did before it rotated
Finley is odd to evaluate in MTG tbh
I mean he’s basically a random mulligan at any point in the game
Unless you start stacking bottom with stuff like stock up
But the set he came out in had that as a gimmick
Same set gave one of the broken draw cards ever printed in a tcg
Dude what is up with the crop
It’s 0 mana look at bottom 3
that seems extremely good
Finley I mean
Tbf you get a 1/3 with it but yeah
winds of change sets you down a card though which makes a huge difference
So does Finley
You do get a 1/3
But it does also interact worse with scry effects
finley gives you a creature
does battlecry trigger whenever he enters or only if you paid the cost? if it's just whenever he enters then he would be insane in flicker decks
When you pay the cost
still seems very good
Anyway I'm gonna say Finley is probably not that good, winds of change saw little play and I'm not sure the upside really makes a difference
Tbf stacking bottom makes a difference
Aquatic form is probably cracked
Byt yeah
0 mana cantrip that gives you a selection is probably worth playing in every aggro deck
0 mana reverse ponder if you have enough untapped lands to cast the card you choose? Yeah it’s pretty good
The problem is getting enough mana and the wording it would have to use which would change how good the card actually is
2 mana
To be fair plot twist is 2 mana
Tbf dredge is more specifically “look at bottom 3, put one on top”
And then aquatic has its stipulation
Yeah, the part I’d be worried about is in magic would it look at your untapped lands (which doesn’t account for mana rocks and sol lands) or would it look at your current mana pool (which means you may have just wasted your mana by tapping everything before this)
If I had to put the card into mtg I’d just make it count number of untapped lands I think
3 1/1 for one mana
This is burst lightning every turn
Face only
Idk how fast you can get down to 3 in hand in mtg tho
Very easily
This sort of effect was good even with much more costs
[[cursed scroll]]
Like there is some GIGA goofy shit
finally, [[one with nothing]] is good
all three of these would be way too good
Like there’s a lot of cards I don’t need to ask
Broxigar’s last stand would be a sideboard card at best unless some guy makes a deck whose whole plan is make tokens then use that as a draw engine into some combo
That’s how people use it in hs
There’s also some default good cards that would be 1000000x more broken in mtg
Ie
2 mana cascade card
Though ig this would make the 3 mana cascade cards miss
If something in hs gets cast not from hand do they still get battlecry? I can’t remember if it was ever possible to do that
No
If it was mtg translation it would just be an enters trigger tho
Instead of a cast trigger
I don’t mean put into play, literally having the word “cast”
Nah in mtg it’s easy to template it as “enters the battlefield, if you cast it then X”
Idk of anything like that
There’s cards that do stuff regardless of how they enter like collosi
But that’s because they’re multiple cards large
Oh wait no
There is something like that
It’s only on tokens tho
Marvel is gonna have a 2 headed giant prerelease
It’s been a while
Gonna ask my friend who spends a lot on sets if they want to compete in this
So I played Blim in commander tonight and realized something that I think is just universally true for commanders designed to "be mean": I think they all kinda feel like shit because WOTC hates the idea of you doing unfun things to your opponent
Like looking at other ones like Lynde (who is Grixis instead of Mardu for some godforsaken reason), anything where you're giving negative effects to the opponent just feels too bad and fair
Glory to Rakdos woo!
[[lynde]]
Legendary Creature — Human Warlock
Deathtouch
Whenever a Curse is put into your graveyard from the battlefield, return it to the battlefield attached to you at the beginning of the next end step.
At the beginning of your upkeep, you may attach a Curse attached to you to one of your opponents. If you do, draw two cards.
2/4
But yeah they do seem to want you to earn it
Oh this one
[[Blim, Comedic Genius]]
I don’t think it’s about you having to earn it, it’s that they straight up don’t want those effects to be good because of salt
Yeah, Blim is WAY too fair
He's in Rakdos so he can't ramp or set up protection
He has to hit the person he's giving the downside to, has to connect
And even then you're 2 for 1ing yourself at best
It's just weird how adverse to letting a player do stuff that harms other players like that WOTC is
I sort of want to brew 1v1 commander assuming no bans from duel commander and back up to 40 life
And don't forget the second you do any of that, you're archenemy
Surely the best deck is just Rog si without rhystic and mystic but with hand attack, right?
Oh perfect example of this: WHEELS
Every wheel printed since like 2013 is a "may" so the opponent can say no if it'd do something mean to them
THANOS CAR THANOS CAR
I think imma just soft retire Blim and build Nekusar
Guys this is that card that'll make roots good trust
Standard and modern roots players are gonna be annoying again for like 2 weeks
Nah this is really good for Sisay
I just think it's funny that roots players are gonna be insufferable again with their cope
I hate how sisay gets support all the time
Top sisay player in my area which spreads sisay to more people, it’s probably the most played deck here
Oh I can run cursed totem in my deck
multiple thanos
it still can be
Don’t tell me theyre making like 15 variants of thanos for each color combo
it could be wubrg by effect
I find it pretty funny that turtle soup is a deck in cedh now
Thanos being mardu makes sense to me idk
But will he be able to be brought back by Alesha
Nah this is marvel with wotc, him not being 5c or grixis is a company violation
Deathtouch, lifelink
Power-up— put two +1+/+1 counts on Thanos. Choose odd or even. Destroy each other creature with mana value of the chosen value. (Activate each power-up ability only once. Reduce the cost by his mana cost if he entered this turn. Zero is even)
@glad peak
surprisingly no wubrg YET
Unless the power-up cost is wubrg
The power up cost for sure is WBR+ some mana
Seems pretty mid
If there’s a blue card for him it’ll definitely mill half of the deck and be incredibly dogshit but still be called cedh
oh wait duel commander got replaced by a weird canadian highlander system and seems to be abandoned
it's prime time for this shop owner to shove 1v1 cedh tournaments with the regular commander rules and banlist onto players
Huh colorless + 5c
It's cuz there is 6 stones isnt it
this reminds me of the time Konami revealed Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon by putting it on the bottom of a ferris wheel
did we miss the fact that it's a 3 mana 4/4 with 2 keywords and an upside that is a board wipe
oh and the board wipe is instant speed
This looks good actually
savage knuckleblade is also a 3 mana 4/4 with a ton of upsie
*upside
needless to say, this is a legendary too
idt thanos is all that crazy
its fine
so the turn he enters, his ability is just 1UG?
Oh yeah
or it may just be WUBRG
more to cast.

represents colorless mana.)
