In that same account, you’re vsing control/mono black, you want to cast inkwright on curve so that you can force those removal/counter spells

You can say the same for Silverquill, Silverquill doesn’t actually do anything for you the turn it comes down besides force removal/counter spells

it's also why control tends to run high cost cards as their wincons, because they get to play less of them, they're bigger bombs and you can play less of them so that you don't draw them during the crucial early turns

they fix the t2/3 issue with deckbuilding

it doesn't solve it fully but it's a lot better than having a t2 setup piece

Mardu control does not have these issues, as you’re always pressuring life total regardless, whether they have a threat on the field or not
