so how good are the Jurassic World cards looking
they're looking
We only know 3 right?
If you’re making dino tribal they’re must runs probably
Jeff Goldblum card looks insultingly bad though
Oh nvm rex alpha is a keyword Commander
Saga is must run for dino, alpha looks interesting I suppose
new Ghalta is interesting but probably not great in Gruul dino
new Huatli looks kinda slow
Welcome to (Jurassic Park) does look pretty funny, if also slow
Alpha is blue, can't run it in naya
Yea I thought alpha was a dino tribal card but it’s its own Commander
Spicy, Rukarumel here can make the slivers into dinosaurs for jurassic park
to what end
People are still cooking
it's just slivers but like, with a worse commander
oh you arent even addressing the jurassic park card, mb
it seems like realistically you would just want to call sliver
since no other tribe has tribal payoffs like slivers do
but your slivers are already slivers

but ruka isnt
and what does making slivers into elves or wizards or whatever do
compared to turning all your elf dorks into slivers
There are better payoff cards for Ruka tho
like the two that lets you vomit all of your slivers in deck onto the battlefield
Tribal decks in edh are eh
Not the format for it
like they can be good it’s just that it feels weird and inconsistent
slivers are in that weird limbo in edh
where its nowhere near good enough for cedh
but casuals almost uniformly despise them
That’s true
Also I ordered the remaining cards I need for cedh slicer
Will be pog
It slices. It dices. It makes Julie Ann's fries.
A Competitive EDH Primer
"You mean julienne fries?" a woman asked skeptically. "Anyone's fries," Cassie said, her voice tinged with desperation. - Animorphs
Slicer Playmat
Custom playmat courtesy of dandroid
Introduction
card:Slicer, Hired Mus...
The deck is fun but it’s okay at best by cedh standards
Viable though
The floor for food chain decks is high
So it often just doesn’t matter what flavor of it you’re playing
rocco is my favorite
Not based
While pauper is very fun, due to it having a card pool that isn't designed for, sometimes it has very degenerate periods
I would suggest at least having one more format that you play so, that you can switch up when pauper gets bad
Like legacy
Good luck opponent
pauper is fun but has very polarized matchups
This weeks bottom 5 is so good
Ah yes, let me get living end from my deck and cast it for 2 mana
my friend have you heard of a thing called "Holding Priority"
They cast it and then you tap all of your stuff to float your mana
Rich
pauper commander : D
[[LILA, HOSPITALITY HOSTESS]]
So after mass testing
not pauper commander legal tho
your commander has to be any uncommon creature
and the rest of the deck is all commons
I can confirm [[decadent dragon]] is mid in standard

so you can have a [[third-path icon]] as a commander
Anything in commander is legal as long as you get people to go along with it
pauper commander is its own separate format but i see what you're saying

Animal themed Commander At Home
gem day
just got them, and wasted them on another draft
We are so close to new card reveals
Who buys this
People like pretty stuff
Like I have a shit ton of Vehicroid Ultis. Is it objectively worth it to do that?
No
But, it was worth buying to me
and then there’s me
who only buys things in the worst condition they can find
preordering my new commander deck this friday
And always haggles with the seller
whatcha getting
Nice!
But yeah I’m anti-bling for some reason
cheapest printing worst condition
Happy for you summer, I know how excited you’ve been for these cards
Worse condition just seems not worth it to me
Like buying off tcgplayer, often worse conditions are the same price as near mint
And when they are lower, it is often only by like a few cents
Red White is so broke in Wilds. Easy 7 wins
Picked this up today
@atomic harness
Had to get that Judge promo Arbiter lol
What was the best Modern deck ever? We made our community vote for one deck to represent each year since 2011, played four rounds of Swiss, and now we bring you each match of the Top 8. Jamin is playing Thoralf and either Death's Shadow or Eye of Ugin could be knocked out of the tournament.

Find the breakdow...
I got an alt art pia nalaar from it
Apparently I need to make a nice edh deck cause all of my decks are "mean"
I know a nice edh deck
Make everyone play on the same playing field, 1 spell a turn, no lands, and no draw
And if anyone counters or kills your things, go on a tirade about “the spirit of edh” or whatever
Mudkip, did you go on Tumblr again
pretty sure you just need to go on the edh reddit for that
Nope it was an old joke post about mld boros avacyn
Any creativity gamers in chat?
Looking for any and all sideboard change suggestions
Meta is tron heavy so I’m on 3 boseiju but I might go down to 2 since drawing a second one feels bad
just went 7-0 in brothers war draft
rule one of brothers war: draft as many copies of [[take flight]] as you can
Nice

Show Notes:
On this upside-down episode of Extra Turns, things are about to get a little bit stranger. Kenji “NumotTheNummy” Egashira returns to face Jimmy, Jake, and Murph in a fight for the fate ...
I loved the part where Jimmy's Commander did stuff
ah yes my favorite commander, ||Bolas's Citadel||
1000 IQ
They have one white mana open so, they could draw into Healing Salve
Soon
Pioneer players what doing
Top 7 most popular archetypes all under 50% winrate at big pio event
The winrates are lower for top decks cause a lot of people play them, including bad people
I feel like top cut conversion is a lot more useful as a metric
Yeah pretty much
Yes but this is insane
that doesn’t happen for ALL 7 top decks
Imagine this with Yugioh
I wouldn't be suprised if the data was similar for the European YCS that just happened
With Yugioh it would probably look the same if not worse for the top decks. Outside of very specific events where a certain deck has a ridiculous conversion rate, I doubt most top decks break 50% win rate in Swiss
yeah I've personally played vs people that have lost to my shit deck because they had no idea how to play their good deck
murktide is the prime example of this
amazing deck that people will misplay to a loss
ton of bad murktide pilots
yeah this is why I would never really play it
you need to understand your deck really well but also have at least a basic understanding of everything else to pilot it perfectly
I really need to play more on mtgo tbh
you need a lot more than a basic understanding of the other decks for murktide right now
quite possibly true
Interesting, would that make murktide the highest skill ceiling deck?
I think the highest skill ceiling might be the uh
uwx control deck that's floating around right now
because of how many threats there are in the meta right now it's really hard for control to keep up
but murktide is definitely up there
I remember hearing like "you could make the wrong play in murktide turn 3 and lose because of it on turn 9" sort of talk about the deck in the past though
murktide is up there yeah
tbh its from turn 1
lol
play the wrong 1 mana play and u can lose the game
yeah it could be at any point of the game I just made one up
This is going to be my latest EDH deck: https://www.moxfield.com/decks/SSOwvNpyAkmUfZkQHPAGwQ
The idea of the deck is that it is only cards that I've drafted from WOE. I'm excited to test it out cause I have no idea how it will do.
Talion is a pretty busted commander so, it might be able to just carry the deck.
I still can't get over how uwx looks like uwu but with an eye missing
Imagine getting out spellslinged while on mono blue
I wouldn't really call mono u a spell slinging deck but pop off queen
I always think of mono blue as a tempo deck that has curosity on a monster and like 7 counter spells
And Izzet as a spellslinging deck like phoenix who just uses a million spells in a turn
in standard it's more djinn, tolarian terror and probably sleep cursed fae at this point? with a bunch of counter spells
some protection spells, some bounce spells and march of swirling mist if you want to spend more than 4 rare+ wildcards
there's definitely a shell for jund to work in standard
So this is kind of the shell I was talking about
Questing druid, dreadknight, little red riding hood
I tried decadent dragon but he just felt bad to play
Idk if you guys noticed too, WoE has made games more grindy
People play standard?
most played format
wha
I assumed that was modern, then edh
then legacy or pio
Yeah I don’t count edh for obvious reasons
But standard rn is a blast
Granted, it’s still early format
Blink being a saga was expected
Also huh
Thats a weird formatting
Gallifrey Falls//No More is cute
wtf decaying timeloop is INSANE
4 mana seems a bit steep
dont forget, this is in the deck that wants you casting stuff from places other then hand. At least it's only a one side wheel
makes it better too though
lol
This feels extremely weak, flavourful, but damn they couldn't of made this like 4 mana?
Cute card, but yeah, not very strong
so Rukarumel can use it as another cute wincon that probably wont go off otherwise
all of these are commander cards right
yes
Mad about this, iconic line but it cant be used in all the decks
pesky green color interferes
blast from the past doesnt have red, timeywimey doesnt have green
still tagging renren
no banlist all access historic is coming back as an event
they're most likely banning channel for it so you don't have to specifically build around it now
no banlist
banning
well, mostly no banlist
lol
@sleek ferry ok I did the 1 billion tutorials
Have 5 mythic rare tickets and 10 rare tickets what's a good source for decks so I don't waste them?
Popular Standard Magic: the Gathering decks with prices from the latest tournament results.
You can sort by format to see the best performing decks
And just YouTube said decks to see how they play
Which format is best to start with?
I recommend you start with standard, it’s the best for learning the game
Then you can branch off to explorer/alchemy and historic last
Need getting into magic
with my teaching he'll be better than me in 3 months
But will he be better than me
.....
Well
I can get mythic explorer
I just dont wanna
I can reach 1 gazillion rated on DB
I just dont wanna
I have rakdos midrange
That means Im a good player
Because I have a good deck
I can show you
does all access mean what I think it does
yes all cards are completely free to use, you don't have to craft anything
ignore if it ever asks you to craft cause you can submit a deck list with grayed out cards
damn they banned channel? that was my favorite card smh
pog! time to redownload arena for a lil bit
what
I'm assuming this doesn't mean you can have 3 commanders right?
It's just kind of odd to see a card with double partner, the etb tutor is nice and flavourful though
I think since partner and doctors companion mentioned allowing a second commander means it doesn't apply a third

Apparently we don't have a proper ruling until release notes
Wait this seems insane
Ayo what
Instant
Split second (As long as this spell is on the stack, players can't cast spells or activate abilities that aren't mana abilities.)
You can't lose the game this turn and your opponents can't win the game this turn. Until end of turn, damage that would reduce your life total to less than 1 reduces it to 1 instead.
But this says "the combo player loses the game"
Wait you can [[Isocron Scepter]] it
No one can ever win the game
Also got to have a way to untap the scepter but yeah
omg these reveals are so good
It doesnt, but Rory is confirmed blue/white
from the weekly mtg video
so if you hypothetically wanna leave The Doctor aside and make a Rory+Amy jesakai deck, go for it
If not, she can tutor out her husband with partner anyways ^-^

Dr. Who, Season 1, Episode 13 -- The Parting of the Ways. Rose destroys the Dalek "God"
very epic moment
That's Rory and Amy's right?
Yes
Weird this one isn't fuse
Nah it makes sense, its meant to contrast
He's ass
shows up, gets sent forward in time but leaves a clue token
then his wife can bring him back
well, bring him back quicker
Why would I wanna pay 2 mana for that
🐋 Whale moment
mfw I could pay 1 mana to make a crab and do this instead
at least Rory has haste
he does not
"It gains suspend"
didn't need to ping me for that
so yeah, he has haste. But like doesnt make him good
At least 11th can chuck him into exile with 2 counters so Amy can remove them
its pretty strong removal for 5 mana.
At that cost you can exile stuff
But yeah, its decent as a way to lock down commanders
Since you cant just put them back in the commander zone
Cute
I will say, regardless of if these cards are good or not
Its nice to see them have such strong flavour
Mtg usually does flavor fine, sometimes the flavor is just boring

not gruul colors so not what I'd normally play
but it looks... servicable?
what does suspend do
also is this standard/pioneer legal
grumble
you exile the card from hand and place time counters equal to the suspend
each upkeep, you remove a time counter
on the last counter removed, you cast it for no mana
hmm
paying five for flying haste 2/2s starting on your next turn
feels very slow
so you basically get 4 turns to generate a dino
so for this, you suspend it for 4 turns and 1 less mana to get 4 2/2 flying haste dinos
Mh1 lands
and of course u still get the big dino at the end
nice
me when the canyon has been baked in the sun
Kid
its 5 mana for 15/15 worth of stats
Not every dinosaur slots into a tribal deck
I can't wait to see which of these cards are legacy playable
also it's literally tribal support
https://youtu.be/uGb0_qwvkf8?si=W88kPQlpEqNT3HYT
yoo minotaur tribal
I play a Magic: the Gathering Online Legacy league with a Minotaur tribal decklist featuring the powerful Didgeridoo to have uncoutnerable minotaur creatures at instant speed. Boros Battleshaper can dominate combat easily, and Moraug, Fury of Akoum gets people dead FAST. The One Ring from Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle Earth is going to be...
It also counts if you time travel
It's for dinosaurs
So that's cool
just let someone enjoy their cards
its fine to enjoy it tho idt meta was expecting much out of it
sadge it's not even in the formats I play
it will be fun to use in commander at least
This seems decent?
oh no commander
Like a funny way to sometimes cheat out big stuff
Vanishing 3 is a touch rough tho
last 2 mana clone was phantasmal image iirc
thats fine
You just want the etb
we ending the game before then

Storm.
Is funny
Ok the top 5 custommagic cards is mostly meh as most weeks are but
I actually like this card
Its surprisingly well designed for an obvious joke
oh that is neat
crash titantic, reap life insurance of passengers
even if its by running into a 1/1 bird
the thiccness
boutta make my [[tree of perdition]] into a bunch of goons
yup, these creatures are literally born from fat

Oh shit I didn’t see mb
any cardmarket post is a good one
which is funny bc like
ygo cardmarket videos kind of suck?
and the mtg ones are insane
Yeah, me and Ren talked about this, but it’s prob just a creative thing tbh
Carl writes all the mtg stuff
Well most of it
I mean it feels like more than just that
but how could you not just even copy the mtg ideas
what decks are best full power, here's a tourney etc
there's just nothing there
Ehhh, then people would just be like “you’re copying mtg blah blah blah”. I think they try to focus more on appealing towards the community at large by bringing in content creators
Issue is, Yugioh content creators are cringe
Or at least the most popular ones
yeah I guess you arent wrong
https://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comments/16z872s/maro_on_ub_selectiveness_wizards_has_turned_down/
i know one of the ones they turned down was binding of isaac but i wonder what the other ones were
i wouldn't be surprised if they were planning to do harry potter at some point but it fell through when rowling went insane
Probably smaller IPs
Them turning down Harry Potter is pretty based
edmund mcmillan said he approached them about a secret lair and they said no
they didn't tell him why but i feel like it's probably because the game is about naked children shitting and crying
Makes sense
why'd they make a bastille song into a plane? seems silly
The last thing the Green players needed was the power of Friendship.
#magicthegathering #mtg #mtgcommander #mtgcommunity #cardgame
Aren’t these type of spells usually reserved for white?
nope its blue too
Nah that's exiling, allowing them to cast it from exile and making cards with the same name cost more
This is completely different

So is it possible for this spell to just ... do nothing?
yes
It should've just been a single blue mana
Oh nice
These dr who decks are high key better than the commander masters ones lol
They probably knew that more than half the mtg demographic has never watched a doctor who episode in their life
Oh me is pretty nice
... ok I dont know how likely it is
But I really hope we get Harriet Jones, Prime Minister in one of the who decks
nice
Temur commander tax evading counter matters commander
wow
poggers
dinosaur
If it wasnt for the WHO in the corner and the word paradox, I'd assume this is from ixalan
The Edgin gamers must be excited for all this foretell support
oh that sounds cool
beanstalk seems to have crept its way into formats quite nicely
2 mana draw + draw for evokes and leyline binding is gas
somewhat weak to obm but the decks running it dont fear obm too much
Arena anniversary rewards
wait it's just a random MUL mythic for the card? dang
well apparently its supposed to be Kenrith, but i already had 4 so it gives you a random Mythic
also I already had that Kenrith style so the game just said screw you you only get 3 rewards
Picked these up finally
feels so satisfying after losing a game to major flood lmao
last one I managed to draw 10 fuckin mountains
Something about the doctor who art feels really off to me
I'm not sure why, but it feels way more b-team "custom card deviant art" art than usual
It's probably the fact that it's mostly not standard MTG artists, but also it feels like it's a lot more style diversity and stuff that looks weird to be all in the same set
I think the fact that half of it is just painted stills from the show doesn't help either
I'm not sure why some of it is so funky
Worst part is it's usually the humans that look off
It's weird because like half of it is just painted stills from the show and the other half looks like something they found on DA and slapped on a custom card
Like the art direction for this set feels really... bad?
Painted still
(Also a new typeline in black border that feels unnecessary)
Deviant art ass art
He looks like Robert Downey jr
The art direction in this one is really off
Like it's an entirely different style
Tbh I'm also just not a fan of "real actor but painted" on an MTG card
Like Chris Pines doesn't look like he's his DND character
He's just "Chris Pines, but Izzet"
Oh I found out why that is btw
I was in hmv, saw figures of the characters from the film
The art on the boxes was the MTG card art
Oh lmao so it wasn't even new art
Oh wtf it literally is
1 to 1
I feel like for most UB cards they just do something that's pretty close to the original art
which doesn't always translate well to magic art lol
unrelated but hopefully maybe getting into commander soon, got an ixhel precon and gonna do some cheap upgrades on it for now
sunfall seems extremely cheap considering how control is moderately present in standard
but then again I guess not many people are playing paper standard anyways
Fun ass deck
seems like it, rn thinking of adding sunfall, skrelv, skrelv's hive, mirrex and grafted butcher
I'm sure, gets through normal boardwipe protections and creates a massive token
I like this
speaking of, relevant plane
it really isn't
What part confuses you?
Whenever you planeswalk to it or during the first upkeep of the game (Aka if you start with this as the first plane in planechase) every player chooses mode A: They may play an additional land during their turns or mode B: Creatures they control have +2/+0 and Haste
On chaos ensuing everyone's options are swapped to the other
In case you start out with it
That's not very clear at all
It's how planechase works, you dont planeswalk to the first plane you start out on
I got that much, but it's still a weird card
the "when the game begins" only matters for that 1-40ish chance
Yeah ngl this is pretty clear to me
real murktide moment
https://reddit.com/r/ModernMagic/s/LxWEdxAutB
New infinite mana sink
So a friend of mine basically fused oathbreaker’s commander system (allowing legendary creatures/planeswalkers + spell) and modern with 4 of limits + 60 card decks
Honestly not a bad modern variant but uh
He really thinks any interaction spell turns the deck into control (hardened scales is control because ballista)
What was the best Modern deck ever? We made our community vote for one deck to represent each year since 2011, played four rounds of Swiss, and now we bring you each match of the Top 8. Andrea is playing Carl and either Oko or Emrakul could be knocked out of the tournament.

How do they pick best decks?
first part of the description
I imagine the community voted based on what had the highest meta share at the time or the most oppressive feeling deck
I suspect the actual answer is KCI overall, but I doubt they have anyone who can play KCI
Smh no one remembers kaldheim
that sounds very stupid. good luck
what format tho
Standards probably your best bet
im doing it in historic and im 1-0 rn
interesting gameplay too
oooh
So you wanna remove a commander without it going to the command zone temporarily?
And also, new Dalek grixis commander
god I remember those episodes, they were great
I have looked at blast from the past
man they really decided to arbitrarily kneecap this list

This episode is brought to you thanks to our wonderful Patreon commu...
so in around 3 hours from now
Depends how you define episode 1. My recommendation is the episode titled "Rose" for first episode which is episode 1 of the 2005 onward era
But that suggestion does skip the first 8 doctors
Well episode 1 season 1 I meant
Yes, that would be season 1 episode 1 of the 2005 era
Oh there’s multiple season 1s?
Yes, Doctor Who has been running for a long time. First 8 is classic who, and 2005 onward was the reboot of the show and is very much suggested for newcomers
I know dr who is decades old
I just didn’t know how doctors were separated
Ah okay it was rebooted
Alright thanks I’ll start with that then
You're welcome, the bonus of starting with Rose is you get to start with one of the most iconic companions with the best story arcs 💖 I hope you enjoy
yeah rose is the place to start
Well reboot is mildly inaccurate
Its still part of the same continuity
But yeah just start with the 9th doctor
Classic who was less sequential and we dont have all episodes anymore
Plus its like, 60s and 70s television, so you can imagine what it looked like
unironically that could literally be impossible
some of the very old episodes are just.. gone
old bbc moment
The first 3 episodes are still around thankfully
As UNO said, same continuity
Luckily you wont miss any important story stuff by starting with 2005 era because the very important bits get brought back up.
Pretty much
Most of the old continuity that matters is old villains returning, but you get the basic explanation on them in the new show as well
God I am still sad we didnt get Harriet Jones, Prime Minister as a card
What do I play Vs a guy who staunchly believes blue shouldn’t be a color that exists
What sort of full greed pile without blue exists
What streaming service even has dr who?
Based
Prime I believe
I’ll check when I get home, I need a new show for when I’m cooking dinner
Actually there’s a bunch never mind
I’ll give Dr who a chance
Time to play Dommy mommies or roggy poggy (actual deck names) :^)
Any breach combo pile with card advantage engine works
Is domain anything seeing play in pioneer/modern?
Modern
My goodness it’s an annoying deck in modern
[[tribal flames]] and [[territorial kavu]] are quite good with turn 2 5 Basic land types
2 mana dome face for 5
yeah domain zoo is a pog deck
And there’s scion which is sometimes played sometimes not
me with my t2 5/5 that loots
Just play with counterspells if you want to be more stable vs combo or cascade if you want to be more greedy and also have some protection
also stubby d and reprieve are fun cards

premieres in about an hour
Ok so the professor is the seventh, Gavin Verhey is the 10th, Carmen Klomparens is the thirteenth, but which one is Teferi Magic
Oh upcoming fifteenth doctor
Gotcha
idk anything about Dr. Who but I might pick up the Villains deck, looks fun
I might pick up Timey-Wimey or the villains deck
the Paradox deck looks fun too
How much do the decks cost, does anyone know?
Pick up timey wimey purely for the everybody lives
You're looking at 45 for most decks and like
50 for timey wimey
I already have Teferis Protection
Id pick them up based on characters/playstyle
Sadly Timey-Wimey doesnt have Harriet Jones, Prime Minister
Time to make a deck only revolving around isochron scepter, clones to it, and everybody lives
The win condition is that everyone draws to death on their draw steps
Disney+ is getting it soon
and I think Amazon has some episodes?
Yeah Doctor Who is on Amazon to
All the way from Rose up to the latest
including specials
This is neat for Dimir.
this episode was SO GOOD!
try 70

Amazon charged me even more, it was 76 when I preordered
before tax

almost looks like a healthy
meta
issue: about 34.3% of the meta is not on black
run karn, turn off ring and fetch your own 😎
that is the mono green plan
using the end on karn or kethis sounds hilarious btw
If only she had trample
Or they?
What is the lore behind this card getting massive lol
I dont know like anything about them
Beats me
Todays purchases
Pretty good but what’re some UB infinite mana generators in 1-2 cards?
Aside from drama scepter
Basalt Power Artifact
Oh right any basalt combo works here too
Grand Architect Pili Pala
Architect pila is kind of meh so probably not that one
Technically Oona works as well
But Oona is an activated
As an infinite mana wincon in command zone
Also needs a lot more colored mana
Trying to make control work with no card advantage in command zone is rough too
Maybe just basalt combos + drama scepter and a ton of tutors/wipes/draw engines which is normal for UB
Essentially just goodstuff control until you draw one of your infinites
nice
probably gonna run this in heliod in hbrawl
not that a 5/5 first striker needs to worry about bad trades
5/5 first strike lifelink for 5 with upside is wild
baneslayer exists
and wasn't good even in standard last time it was in
this is probably fine
Baneslayer is pretty much a French vanilla
And was also the best card in the game at one point but fair
I doubt this would be the best card in the game or anything but that is a crazy statline
how easy is it to get 5 mana in alchemy
yea 5/5 for 5 with first strike lifelink and it draws a card
its usually drawing itself if it attacks but u can manipulate life gain to be specific
not super hard
if there is a concern its that removal is plentiful
Wait why don't these have anything to do with each other? They're just unrelated effects
they're all hybrid
Yeah but like the three little pigs should be related in effects
okay they were 2 drops
they turn into 2 mana 2/2s that buff the next ones and cantrip
too bad they feed obm
Why are they put on the top of the deck then shuffled?
nicer wording I guess?
because they need to go somewhere before they can be shuffled into the deck
[[toralf's disciple]]
oh weird
maybe there's a new alchemy card that prevents you from shuffling
Honestly just trim it down to "shuffle 7 seven dwarves" into your deck
this is cute
i really like the tortoise
yeah but if it gets damaged you lose one of the equips
i feel like it probably isn't strong enough
I feel like it's designed kind of for an equip deck
alternatively like
if the format had some 0 cost artifacts like paradise mantle or stuff like lightning greaves to throw on the dude
it might be better
I do think its a nice flavor win at least
It doesn't seem to be a human
It's just a Knight
Interesting
not many in alchemy
some decent ones
the issue is that it also just requires a lot of timing issues
it needs bigger stats
Yeah that makes sense
why does it need to be an instant adventure? you could tuck it away after you attack with a sorcery speed adventure to dodge boardwipes then bring it back when you want to attack again
I kinda wish the exile was optional but otherwise it seems worth trying
wish it started at 2/2 though, or at least 2/1
Ye
Basically turn every adventure instant into a heroic intervention (ish)
The lack of evasion does hurt it though now that I think about it
Is there anything that perpetually gives flying or trample?
Welp how do I convince someone that just because a deck has some removal spells does not make it a control deck
Because now it’s getting to a point where they’re saying any deck with ballista and/or lightning bolt are control decks
ah yes monored my favorite control deck
Hardened scales is an oppressive control deck plz ban
it's life total control
Wait what deck isn’t a control deck then?
ayo this looks fun as hell?
also a card to go with the 3 pigs
they're really trying to make boar tribal
neat
According to them, enchantress auras
Even though they got mad they can’t deal with a 3/3 and said they needed removal
3 mana exile at instant speed seems good enough on its own, the enchatment is a big upside
yeah at least on the 3 mana dragon ability
[[forgotten crossroads]]
this is a good card
this seems like a great card
wait this enters untapped no matter what after turn 3
that's actually so good
Oh my god thats adorable!
The spellbook
this is actually kind of crazy
what
2 mana ice a creature and scry 3
i guess its only once
but thats still huge utility on a land
yeah this looks actually super nice for control
a land that doubles as early stall
also bruh you play muldrotha and this is how you build it? smh
lovh larent isn't even legendary so you could play 2 or 3 and do that effect multiple times
Ayo that's pretty damn good
Fuck why couldn’t we get something similar to this in the main set
This would have gone a long way in making izzet standard viable
cus they didnt want izzet to be viable in standard
also yea this card is really strong
though i wish it had some sort of evasion
Cool video for anyone interested in this space

Why not? It’s been long enough since izzet dragons for us to get another izzet standard deck
simply they didnt want an izzet deck to be good
Apparently new news on the 30th edition of mtg

The Four Doctors Play Commander | Shuffle Up & Play #36: https://youtu.be/g2-m4AtUL_8
Are you looking to ...
They didn't pay any artists or their families at all lmao
Rush's family wasn't even told it happened
Jesus
Rush only made the most iconic art in the game
You'd think they would have given his family something
In other fun news, they short stocked the Dr Who stuff too
So unless you're buying through Amazon, check with your distributor because they're cancelling orders and apparently LGSes got a lot less stock than expected
Did someone say memory issues
Oh yeah this is definitely memory issues
Weird that it changes type and graveyard effect on a card that's physical only
On the bright side he seems bad
But playing against him is gonna be annoying
I mean, that works, but dice are gonna make things confusing
Little printed "demon" counters or whatever would work
I just wish the card itself assigned a counter
yeah that's the face commander
or one of them? different art on the box but same guy
probably just the face commander
spright i guess
Theres not really an equivalent tbh?
Ygo doesnt really have archetypes that focus on pumping up stats due to how the game works
A deck that destroys its own cards to get material to do utility stuff sort of applies
So I guess unchained
havent really followed. Which Who deck seems like the best one to pick up and play with out of the box?
Idk The Professor hasn't posted his video yet /j
If you're looking strictly for value Masters of Evil is best, but the real answer is whicever deck looks the most fun for you
Do you want the one with the most out of box commanders?
If so, Blast From the Past has a LOT of combinations
I was eyeing the evil one but it seems to have like a scattered strategy on first glance lol
Didn’t really think of this. Was just looking for something to buy and play with like minimal upgrades lol. Everyone keeps talking about Timey.
timeywimey is also pretty cool, but here's the math on how many combinations of commanders the Blast from The Past precon gives
that's over a month of being able to play a different commander(s) for the precon each day
Lmao nice
"We need aftermath to show the results of the story"
Doesn't show the results of the story, starts a new random story, makes a set no one wants. Set bombs
"We didn't need it woops"
See I think Aftermath could have done better if it ACTUALLY did what it said it did
If it showed the results of the phyrexian storyline and wasn't just 60 random cards and "woops desparked walkers"
some people talked about interesting but underpowered cards and I feel like it was neither interesting nor powerful
They could have at least put in cool reprints.
The packs just felt like dogshit to open cause there was like 3 good cards in the whole set and the packs were smaller
i feel like the biggest reason it sold badly was because it had fewer cards per pack than a normal set but still costed the same
even people who don't know anything about the set's power level are gonna think that sounds unappealing
That definitely didn't help, yeah

"shocks don't work well in 3 color mana bases because you're more likely to get color screwed than being a turn behind" how does this make shocks not work well
shocks make you less likely to get color screwed and don't make you lose tempo
r/cedh level deckbuilding advice
at least in cedh u can justify it bc ur key turns are turns 1-4 maybe 5 and u may not even make land drops for all of them
and with access to true duals
u can just lose 1 life
even then a ton of lists especially 3c choose to play shocks
fetches + shocks are a broken combo
or fetches + duals
lands entering tapped in general is always a no no its just some formats have shitty enough landbases and soft enough curves to allow enough leeway for them
Picked these up
i barely get colour screwed just playing a fetch dual mana base idk about anyone else
Has this person heard of like… the modern format?
Oh, specifically talking about edh. Still nonsense - you have great colour fixing options.
I mean true duals would help too
More targets in general helps
lmfao

What was the best Modern deck ever? We made our community vote for one deck to represent each year since 2011, played four rounds of Swiss, and now we bring you each match of the Top 8. Jamin is playing Thoralf and either Hogaak or Grief could be knocked out of the tournament.

: You may copy the exiled card. If you do, you may cast the copy without paying its mana cost.

odd but sure
