That new spell seeker art is kinda fire

that's cracked
Along with
this one? agree if so
What about bersonal butor
Ur Dragon and Jeweled Lotus
lotus is good idc about ur dragon
Yeah urd is cring sickle
Yeah it’s so cool
Btw Ren, how close are we to doing commander on spell table
I mean I could say worse than just not caring
good that urdragon is being printed though it needs it
going to assume edgar markov will be in the same set too
God if this was a rare it'd be hilarious
It being a mythic is gonna feel SO BAD
This set is gonna be so hit or miss lmao
That’s every sealed set in the history of every tcg
soon tm
urza looks like he ripped a fat one from his bong
alternatively it's the cover of his new hit single
powerstone
Insurrection is cool, but it's another weird upshift
What's everyone's favorite $0.89 rare from Double Masters bulk?
That's right
Mizzix got another wasted slot
Wym fuck this up?
Imagine they make guardianship mythic
Lmao I'd cry
Could you imagine if this and say the green one is the only one that gets reprinted
So far they've only shown this one, yeah
Theoretically odds are we get the whole cycle
But
Wait someone send me a blue rare that starts with a letter after E
Spellseeker is 120, meaning there's 30 cards between them
Fblthp
FoF is usually uncommon rn
Wait did they reveal fblthp
No
I meant one in the set
You said to name a blue rare
Gonna need to see how many slots come after "Evacuation" and before the first G card
Mizzix
Mizzix is multicolor
Personal Tutor
33 blue cards
Total
Could be all commons
But it's the closest to "Fierce" we have rn
Also, Emrakul is soft confirmed
Kozilek is 002
Wait, emrakul in a commander set?
Promised End isn't banned
Oh that one
Yup
I keep forgetting that it exists
Well it could be Bosh, Codie, Graaz, or Hope of Ghirapur
But it's probably Emrakul
Speaking of crunched out: Jeska's Will (so likely the whole cycle) and [[Parallel Lives]]
Honestly crazy this card still hasn't gotten a reprint jesus
$50 and the only reprint was the judge promo
oh yeah reveal season soon right?
Been ongoing
Im excited for the new slivers
LETS GO
This is what, the 4th time they've thrown him in a set as a joke card?
Needs to be more tbh
True, I'll take him over storm crow
But he's gonna feel bad in your legendary slot
True. There's just an extra slot for chance at double rare here
Any uncommon legend is gonna feel bad in that slot
Or Krenko
Or Azusa
Honestly, I guess Krenko/Azusa/Mizzix will feel a lot worse in that slot
Like at least with an uncommon, you didn't get a second rare. With one of them, you got one but they're a $0.15 card
you know most people don't buy these just to resell them right
I'm aware
they don't care about the secondary market value
The issue tho is this is a masters set
they just want fun cards
And it'ss not like krenko or mizzix got new treatments that people are gonna be excited to see
It's the same art and foils from Double Masters for them
Krenko is cool, but he's gonna feel like shit in your $10-$15 pack
I guess the issue is mostly just that this set is too expensive
They mentioned a bunch of "spicy" rares being in the set on the stream, which would be cool if it was in DMR range
But the "spicy" rares are gonna feel bad in your $500 box, because realistically, no one is drafting this
It's a $75+ draft
That's not happening
haven't they done a mwm in a similar fashion?
ig it was more precons or singleton, but it'd be fun to have a higher power format with restricted cards
iirc they did an event around the time theros beyond death came out where you could play precons that had the power 9 in them
Nice downshift
Morophon is also a good reprint
Hopefully more of that kinda stuff
Ancestral recall
that art is both sick and kinda weird at the same time
This set has way too many bulk rares for me to be interested in it
why is mtggoldfish's site so shit on mobile
frfr
wait half of these aren't bulk rares though
also, does Godo reprint mean Helm of the Host reprint
They're worth significantly less than buying a pack, that's what bulk rare means to me
what is the best standalone commander (no partners)?
Kess is up there
Najeela not being on your minds in the top 2 is concerning
Oh wow I love pulling...Sai?
Dude is in like every blue precon
Also seeing lots of one-offs from cycles
Which does not bode well for either the rare slots, or the guardianship cycle
We finally got commandeer reprint at least I guess
Not like we needed the rest of the cycle
Yeah but untill I see a second member of the Ikoria free spell cycle, imma be worried now
Y'all can have the $3 black one, but not the two $40 ones
Wasn’t this pricey too?
Ah it was like $10 when it was only in coreset
But I guess it’s been reprinted a lot
And bulk
Green one tho
So we might see the cycle
Imma hold out hope
[[Obscuring Haze]]
That's at least 2 of the cycle
Cyclonic confirmed
Ayyyyy cyco rift
Oh hey and they didn't randomly upshift it
Alms Collector is nice too
Oh so they can downshift legendaries
They just chose not to for a billion shitty legends in this set
Oh and they downshifted Star of Extinction and Ob too
Good, both would have felt like shit in the mythic slot
Bro that ob nix art is pretty nice
Star of extinction feels like shit in the rare slot too
Half the mythics already feel like shit so adding more wouldn't help
It's okay, half the rares feel like shit too
Imagine opening Sai and Star
Champion's Helm is a good reprint too. Didn't realize the card got to $30
Hopefully we get Commander's Plate too, but downshifted to rare
I'm really confused why they put the shit cyc rift in the preview video
I was just thinking about Commander's Plate also
and War Room
We still haven't seen a land cycle in the rare slot right?
Nope
so we'll def be getting that
Can almost guarantee it's gonna be a shitty one
I'm guessing battlebond lands again
0 chance it's shocks because they would have said so
I'm cool with battlebond lands, but those seem to slowly be getting put into precons
which i'm cool with
enemy fetches would be ideal, since mh2 was ally fetches
or was it backwards
whichever
ASHLING AND 99 MOUNTAINS CONFIRMED VIABLE
pull up to draft
Pack ashling
Play ashling and 99 mountains
Go 0-3
Go home happy
Oh the land cycle has been confirmed
It's the Thriving Lands
Oh well that's the common land cycle
No clue what the rare is
oh
you know what would be a solid land cycle
ikoria triomes
actually
that makes a lot of sense
its been 3 years
We're definitely not seeing the triomes
That’s short in magic years
All the triomes are like $15 too
We can't have that many cards worth money in here
I know boxes are $500, but we can't have too much value
Set must be worth $300 for all cards
Are they actually? I see collector's boxes for $230
They're talking set boxes
set are $380, which seems weirdly high
You can buy an MH2 set booster box for $200 right now
and almost guarantee your value back
tcgplayer has them at $378 from verified sellers
And remember Amazon can afford to undercut LGSes so you'd probably be paying more for it in stores
$380 is still a ton for a booster box
Means it's never gonna get drafted
Also, technically the collectors booster boxes are cheaper yeah, in that they're $300
But reminder a collectors booster box is 4 packs
Wouldn't be surprised if they do some expedition type shit for collector's booster boxes tbh
My old LGS back home couldn't afford to stock collectors boosters at all, and were telling me they've gotta run packs at $12 a pack for set boosters
I've heard a couple other people saying the same thing since wotc makes LGSes buy boxes at MSRP
Only the Premium LGSes get a discount and that's a hassle to get into
Oh that's a good reprint
Richard kane Ferguson art? On my stax piece? It's more likely than you think
And RKF art
He's like $30
He's spewing garbage all over the ring
The rares in this set are so hit or miss
$30 rare, immediately followed by a $0.50 rare
can we have a collector ouphe reprint too
The flavour text on abolisher goes hard
Hey at least he got downshifted from $0.50 mythic
I'm trying to think of other stax pieces i need reprinted
Winter Orb, cowards
trinisphere?
Sike, you're getting Thalia again
She's gonna get the weird profile art too so she can keep getting new arts
They're not reprinting winter orb
They at least want to pretend this will be a draftable format
I think the issue with making a commander set draftable
is, look at CL1. Best drafting commander experience, but not huge in value
More bulk
Oh yeah, the biggest issue is them pretending this set is draftable
Card is actually in a lot of blue Precons why is this here
It's a $75 draft, so no one will and the draft format looks like it'll be ass
Just go to set boosters only (at DMR prices lmao) and go "Set isn't draftable"
mystic confluence was actually just in the lotr precons lol
It's in every blue precon
with new art
That in itself is fine. Around 66% of all rares in any given set are usually niche-bulk
but we need more value to justify $380 a box
urza's saga would be nice
esper sentinel + mystic remora
Urza's Saga
rhystic study is prob better for you
if dockside gets reprinted, it would 110% still be upshifted to a mythic
For sure. Spellseeker isn't as crazy and she got bumped to mythic
Honestly, this set needs Mana Crypt
Oh I'm well aware, but she was rare last time and she's not really a mythic value card
She literally got upshifted because $30
mana crypt/jeweled lotus would add a lot, miss me with scroll rack though, its been reprinted too often
well that's a $20ish card
Any chance they throw CEDH players a bone and reprint Thoracle + Demonic Consultation?
underworld breach could also use a reprint
Oh breach would be good
Yeah my wishlist is breach, mana crypt, sentinel, urza's saga, remora, and rhystic study
And some other stuff worth more than $0.20
flusterstorm mana drain maybe?
I say Breach, Sentinel, Urza's Saga, Remora, Swan Song, Ikoria Triomes all in the rare slot
Swan song is nice
that would add a lot imo
Mental Misstep
that would be nice, but i think it would be kinda crazy in draft
Oh and top
I know top is like $20 now but top would be nice
I remember my animatou deck randomly containing double the rares
So I have two of these
Oh, also Deflecting Swat reprint. Like if you're going to leave out guardianship, at least give us Rollick + Swat
also Jeska's Will
Swat seems likely at least now
Will has been crunched out
As has Parallel Lives
Lives desperately needs one
Maybe Doubling Season
Will was in a precon recently, so it doesn't really NEED the reprint, but it would be nice
It's actively not possible based on the numbers
yeah, but wotc loves double dipping on reprints at times
and this one would be greatly needed
Brozolith?
Doubling Season too then
Anointed Procession would be cook
He's not technically crunched out, but he sorta is based on cycles
If they print all three titans, he's out
Oh yeah, add Procession to my list too
And Smothering Tithe
Tithe is like £10 here rn
It's still like $20 in the US
land tax?
it's worse tithe, but it's cheaper
oh sure
I mean I'd def prefer tithe
Thanks wotc really needed this
Nice to see it reprinted, but it should be rare
It feels like every third card got upshifted for some reason
What planes is the lens looking at here, I see capenna and kaldheim
But what's the third
I need to know what plane this is from immediately
Oooh wow pulling all the stops
Misread it as "Courser" and got excited
But charger is... A card that exists
So is Magus of the wheel
Precon masters lmao
That’s a good mythic though
He's a good enough mythic
I can't wait to see [[Talrand, Sky Summoner]] get previewed
Actually someone tag me if they put Talrand in here
I will lose my shit
This is a nice reprint
Has a single print, $10, and first time foil
Pack should have been more of those and less magus of the wheel and sai
Oh Emrakul is crunched out
Prismatic Piper is 01
Because common
Weird
All my locals have adopted adapting prices to our currency
But selling cards converts US prices 1:1
Getting money's worth is gonna be rough
Heroic Intervention rare is cool
Skyshroud Claim common is like
Fucking awesome?
[[skyshroud claim]]
Card's been $2-3 for a really long time
There's definitely some good stuff in here
But $400+ booster boxes really dampens the enjoyment
Oh it's gonna be $400 per box no matter what
If the set is cl2 lite it won’t
We’ve seen sets dip if the sets value doesn’t match its price tag
LGS' have to stay somewhat close to big box
I got 26 dollars, what cool stuff should I get
Ok tbf
Your definition of bulk is very broad
If the set booster is $400 for 24 packs
Any rare below $16 is bulk
Probably next week
So doing the math at 2.5 rares per 24 packs comes to 60 rares/mythics in a box. The average value of a rare/mythic should be $6.70 to break even
There's definitely some $20-$100 rares/mythics
Just taking average value into account
But for each good one, there's like 3 shit rares, an okay rare, and then a Magus of the Wheel
Honestly fucking stunned they put magus of the wheel in here
Jeweled lotus would almost definitely make you break even in a box if you opened it
He's a $0.05 card
Jeweled Lotus is $75. You'd need to open 5 jeweled lotuses
Maybe he meant full art Foil
Also, there’s the wild card slot of set booster packs in The List slot
No I’m taking regular versions of everything into account
Yeah you'd need 5 then
The textrued variant, collectors booster only because of course lmao, is $500 on presale
One of those would do it
But that's spending $300 for 60 cards
Ha that’s cheaper than a 60 card Modern deck
True, but at least $300 into modern would get you all cards you'd actually use
You could spend the $300 here and get Sai, Hidetsugu, Chainer, Fiery Confluence, Azusa, Karador, Chromatic Lantern, Omnath, and Insurrection as your rares/mythics for the whole box
Obviously any sealed product is gambling, but JESUS it's blatant here
Oh how could I forget, you can pay $60 to open [[Boompile]] and [[Teysa Karlov]]
Legendary Creature — Human Advisor
If a creature dying causes a triggered ability of a permanent you control to trigger, that ability triggers an additional time.
Creature tokens you control have vigilance and lifelink.
While Kaya is guildmaster, Teysa waits patiently at the center of the Orzhov web of power.
2/4
At $16 a pack it had better be broad
That's 1 and a half tithes here
I think no matter the pack you shouldn't expect the regular rare to make you break even on the pack
I think it shouldn't be $2 or less
And given we've gotten both upshifted mythics and bulk mythics
This set is absolutely garbage
The only way it's saved is like
Crypt reprint
I'm withholding judgment until after prices settle
nice
Jesus Christ. Why is this set 75% bulk
Dude did someone in 2012 design this set
Braids???
Also the whole join forces cycle...
do you typically just play this when everyone is tapped out if you're not playing a group hug deck?
No
They don't have to pay into it to get the draw
Wotc says join forces was a design mistake
you play it with [[notion thief]] effects
Shame, I like join forces
I also like will of the council
Maybe I'm the problem
Didn’t we just get a voting deck?
Yeah and I love it
People be like: "There is no God"
Bro there are several, and they are about to beat me to death
"how many legendary creatures do you want"
"How many you got in stock"
im actually super excited for ha7
the stand-ins for nactl, bbe, and tribal flames are denoted
im still working on the mana base here too
You’re perfectly fine
Thanks?
also never seen lifeblood hydra in my life
Yeah most of these aren't like crazy good
But I'll take $10 rares with a first time in foil printing over Sai, Master Thopterist
I'm sure they won't hold value but that's fine
Add to the wishlist: Painter's Servant and Cloudstone Curio
They're not happening because $70 and $30 rares lmao, but I'd like to see them
Cloudstone needs a reprint pretty badly
So does Painter's Servant
Honestly, I'd also like Nexus to get a first non-foil printing
oh god is this entire set bulk rares lmao
It honestly is, yeah
im gonna tell my friend to cancel his preorder
they saw what happened with explorer anthology 3
and said
we cant let paper players feel left out of this treatment
It's funny, for every good reprint, there's a bad one, then an upshift, then a really bad one (looking at you Magus of the Wheel), then a decent one
Spellseeker at mythic is still baffling to me
Mythics are what 1:8 packs
If you pulled 3 jeweled lotuses
You still wouldn't make your money back
yeah its looking to be the worst EV ive seen in a while
Yeah for $400 a box, you've gotta pull at least 4 lotuses
and you have 4 packs to do it in apparently
That's a collector booster ($300 for 4 packs)
A set booster is gonna run you $400-$500
The price range for this set is fucking ridiculous
Damn I guess I’ll have to wait to buy lotus until next reprint
Lotus will probably go from $75 to $60ish
Thanks worc
and then back up to 75 before the next premium reprint set is announced
But yeah, it's not gonna do a ton for the price of the expensive cards when packs are looking anywhere from $12-20
That's a single set booster btw. $15 average
It's why we've all been complaining about bulk so much lmao
If you hit a bulk rare at all, your pack was a waste
Oh... Doubling Season is also crunched out
this set feels like one that might pop the bubble
Honestly? Probably not, but I do really hope it tanks lmao
on the last day they will anounce a serialized 1/1 black lotus reprint
I'm sure there's something serialized we haven't seen yet for the collectors boosters
Lotus petal has a collectors booster only art
id imagine everything big like this is gonna have serialized cards
we're getting 35 cent secret lairs for $39.99
i assume hasbro is hitting critical mass of enshittification
Yeah but people will buy it
I genuinely don't know what'll be enough to tank it at this point
Like I thought "surely double feature will show how blatantly" the cash grab was. Then baldurs gate. Then the super drop. Now this
I don't know what set will be bad enough
None
unfortunately there will always be reddit bellcurve madlad "investors" who see 35 cent secret lair as a high prospect investment
Yeah true. I mean we can get shit as bad as Aftermath, that still sells out immediately
I legit can't see a set being bad enough at this point
at a certain point the reddit madlads just see the set being so bad as "well there wont be any demand for it now, which means it will be worth a lot of somebody wants it later"
lack of demand will mean lack of supply later, hopefully by then the demand will be high
The World Tree cheese is hilarious
or whatever the one card is
So much shitty bulk
At least she's a classic commander. But come on
[[Curtains Call]]
This should have just been an uncommon
Curtains Call upshift is fucking wack yeah
The most likely hits are probably gonna be from the Ikoria instants + Heroic Intervention
And when I mean Ikoria instants I mean the good ones
Let’s gooo I love Sidisi
that kykar portrait lmao
Dude Sidisi is like the 5th legend that was in double masters that's also in this
What the hell
I think the implication is the Thrulls overpower and kill him
makes sense, but that doesnt sound very masterful
I was expecting thered be some upside for having that many thralls

Card was $5 for an uncommon
That's a pretty good print
It's weird. So many decent to good reprints and then so much shit
At least three of these are downshifted
But God, come on
He's like $10 too, so I guess he's fine
Sorry accidentally posted this and can't remove it cause my phone is whatever
Ah there we go
Behemoth is like $10, it's okay
But Jezal, the other dinos, the confluence, and Nahiri are decidedly bulk
Oh wait did y'all see the most offensive bulk in the set?
This is her third print THIS YEAR
And she's a $0.05 card
Could have EASILY been uncommon
Cringe
Mikaeus and Demonic tutor are good
Bribery is fine
Mikaeus actually looks really good in the portrait style too
I prefer the SL mikaeus but yeah these are fine
SL is his best art, but his profile actually works because he's got a pretty unique outfit and whatnot
Like it's better than Azusa because you can tell who he is
Wayward, Regal Behemoth and Wakening are not bulk tf
Why is bribery mythic
?
Oh my bad. Dunno why I thought belzenlok was the expensive one
Mixed him up with Razaketh
They're both sub £3 here
Razaketh would be nice
Is this the expensive ulamog?
Don't like Loyal Retainers being upshifted to Mythic tho
So that's why they only gave lgs 2 of the magic 30 versions
It's the $30 one
Lmao ofc it is
Gotta milk you
This is hilarious
both ulamog's are the same price
Like this is so blatant
what's the expensive ulamog
I was thinkng of emrakul I think
Although it is uncommon in masters edition, which was MTGO's older masters set
So it theoretically should have been uncommon
Price trend sees them as 6€?
best ulamog btw
I don't look at price trend cause it's garbage at taking into consideration dips
I actually really hate this lair
The whole "rules text on the back for no reason" thing is dumb as hell
Speaking of things I hate
What the fuck
i actually like that art
So we look at the 'from'?
I usuallhy look at cheapest verified seller for price
I just look at lowest seller in my country
It gets a lot lower if I order internationally
Zetalpa real
Is the elder dinosaur cycle crunched out?
Completely forgot zacama existed
LMAO I KNEW ZETALPA WAS COMING
Wdym card has lots of keywords so it must be good

TALRAND IS 100% COMING
No card found for “Profile Morophon”
[[morophon]]
Legendary Creature — Shapeshifter
Changeling (This card is every creature type.)
As Morophon, the Boundless enters the battlefield, choose a creature type.
Spells of the chosen type you cast cost

less to cast. This effect reduces only the amount of colored mana you pay.
Other creatures you control of the chosen type get +1/+1.
6/6
Yo Dinosaur reprints?
Zetalpa was obvious for draft
idk, maybe it's just me, but calling the legendaries (that have their own slot) bulk, when they're reprinting the most popular commanders literally of all time, seems disingenuous
There's a lot of popular legendaries that need it
Also, a lot of these LITERALLY just got the same treatment in Double Masters 22
I am getting tired of the only comments about this set just being complaining about it
unfortunately we are not wotc and have no influence on the set so complaining about this just serves to get annoying after x amounts of time
Good reprint
Isn't he still like $15?
Ye
Dropped to $10, but yeah nothing wrong with $10 rares
*She
I only know because this one is in german
And its using the female word for knight
I remember because of her anime art
I forgot she got an anime art
There's like a 100% chance prices goes down once the set drops
*for rares
Master sets have historically not affected the price of mythics
In fact, master set mythics USUALLY go up in price
I'm talking
I would imagine so
Good ass reprint right there
The sealed box
Oh yeah if the set stays this way, no shot it stays $400 a box
The reprints today have been better than average but there's still so much bulk
this is the first reprint of puresteel paladin since commander 2021 iirc?
Shit like [[Curtains Call]] should never have been rare
Like I'm sorry but I don't see my LGS maintaining a $560 set booster box
I think so, yeah
that art fucks
Richard kane Ferguson can do no wrong
Like yes the bulk rares and mythics are bad
this art reminds me of Saint Seiya for some reason
Yes the excuse of being for draft is flimsy
Golden armour and oversized weaponry
It gets to the point where I'm now seeing some people go from pro-proxy to anti-singles
See if the set was priced like DMR there really wouldn't be any issues
It's just that $12 packs, $75 draft, and $400 boosters gets into "you've gotta be fucking kidding" range
Me screaming at my lgs to not buy a lot of commander masters (they will not listen) (they bought 76 lotr start kits)
They bought 76????
Yup
And the $400 price is guaranteed to go down
I have actually seen LGSes in my area saying they can't afford to stock it rn because they'd have to run such a high markup
Wizards sells them the boxes at $360 a box
$400, the Amazon price, isn't a price they can do
They'd have to do at least $450
Where did you hear that LGS' are buying boxes at that high a price?
One of my friends back home was talking to me about it last weekend. He's a manager at an LGS
He was telling me that they don't get a discount and have to buy the boxes from wotc at MSRP
They'd also have to mark-up the precons to $100 a pop
No fucking way an LGS buys boxes from WOTC at MSRP
Premier LGSes don't
Regular ones do
Not an expensive card, but first foil printing
Well not counting his absolutely AWFUL SL art
LGS' usually spend about $100 to distributors for a box, no?
And that $100 is really highballing it
Depends on the box
They can get standard sets and stuff cheaper, but the pricier a box is, the less chance they can
Also a nice reprint
But still everywhere I'm reading says $85-$95
$95 if the LGS is new
$360 for an LGS is just fucking absurd?
How would WOTC at all expect that LGS to profit
I don't know the specifics. He was just telling me wotc doesn't cut a deal on boxes for premier sets
Standard sets are cheaper and they can get them for a reasonable price I assume, but they also had trouble with MH2 for the same reason
That just
Does not sound right at all
Do they expect them to profit off of draft?
Yeah pretty much
Also WOTC themselves aren't the distributors
There are many distributors under WOTC
I know. But LGSes have an approved list of distributors
So it could very well be that specific distributor
It might be an area thing in that the only distributors in the area that are approved are not willing to cut a deal then
I didn't ask for too many specifics because that store is 3 hours away from me, but it sounded like a lot of stores are getting fucked over on Commander Masters
Like if a premium set is distributing at MSRP
And you are expected to sell at MSRP
Why would you ever stock up on that set
People will pay more for it too though
Keep that in mind
And there's people who only buy a couple packs
You're really only finding boxes for this set under $400 on Amazon and like tcgplayer/card kingdom
And again these are just preorders
And someone might come in for commander night/whatever and see the set and go "oh I'll buy 2 packs"
I don't work at an LGS, I don't know all the specifics. Only what people have told me
Oh shit finally an art for vandalblast that isn't Seb McKinnon
Ah
Oh very nice
That means curio still has a chance at rare
Ayy nice
SMOTHERING TITHE MYTHIC
Is that Tithe at mythic?
because commander staple
Because "the draft experience"
Also because it got reprinted at rare and is still $30
Imma be real with you chief, if I open this in draft night... I'm still taking it but I'd hesitate
Honestly, is it even worth it in draft?
Like I know you absolutely do not play spellseeker in limited
I'd only take it cause I want some money back on this expensive ass draft experience
True
I'm glad I got my Smothering Tithe from that one Orzhov precon back when it came out
God I forgot this shitty as guy existed
He also got like 2 reprints this year
Does anyone actually like this card?
i have never seen this card before in my entire life
He's was £10
is this not annoying with mana rocks
He's like $2
He reads WAY better than he plays
ig you can remove him without using too much mana
He gives the rocks back too
So you either have to use him in a turn you're gonna pop off and immediately win or he's useless
not if u sck them
He was £10
No he wouldn't
Well moreso playable
Cause your opponent just taps down while they're on the stack
True
He's deceptively bad
Like unironically kinda terrible
I keep saying this, but honestly would he have been an issue at uncommon?
I know all the rocks are uncommon in draft, but this dude is BAD
He's the wrong treasure-related goblin
That's good
I don't like it mainly cause it draws hate
I find it to be the opposite
Well not opposite
More like they’re fine with it since they get it back
Unless I have kci then I deserve the hate
I remember when it got revealed and everyone thought it was broken
Then everyone realized it sucked
You can also just play around treasure nabber lol
I actually completely forgot he existed
When you ask wotc why LGS were only given 2 loyal retainers as magic 30th promos
Acting as a collector ouphe means it’s doing its job
Time to add him to my [[osgirl the reconstructor]] deck
You would get targeted down for that lol
It’s okay
We’re in boros
Perfectly fair colors :^)
I actually have a couple wip’s right now for casual and cedh
[[anhelo]] for casual
Legendary Creature — Vampire Assassin
Deathtouch
The first instant or sorcery spell you cast each turn has casualty 2. (As you cast that spell, you may sacrifice a creature with power 2 or greater. When you do, copy the spell and you may choose new targets for the copy.)
Every work of art is a hit.
1/3
Anhelo is a commander I wanted so badly to make work
It’s def an uphill climb
You need enough token creation to balance out the high instant/sorcery count
Also the fact that it can’t sack itself was always funny to me
Can't paint using yourself as the paint bucket
I actually really love all the mechanics that are in new cappenna
Some of the commanders just fell short
There we fucking go
Upshifted to Mythic but that's the good shit
Oh well I guess it's actually been mythic more often than rare? I thought it was rare in battlebond, huh
Just got reprinted in the LOTR decks but still nice
@meager isle I had a funny edh game a while back, my stax friend had us on commander ouphe yeah
so all my artifact mana didnt work but I still had super chunky constructs w menace
Then the combo izzet man chaos warps the ouphe, our mana gets unlocked, he goes for high tide I let him
then when he goes for frantic search tapping out I miscast him
"im the one who outed the ouphe yet I still eat the counterspell noo"
I felt bad so I apologized but it was bc he was gonna pop off
yea he had it coming lol
The other guy was on this Horse selensya life gain +1/+1 deck
he had a 42/42 serra avatar
the prizing for our pod was for 1st and 2nd my stax friend had no way to defend himself since all he had left were phyrexian mites, serra was about to one shot him. I decided to save him by dispatching the indestructible vigilance 42/42 guy (he had a horse that gave those keywords)
then my friend tainted striked one of my menace constructs who got through so it was 12 infect
was a fun time
Oh there's prizings?
Uhh it was a paid pod first time trying it out
Well I'm glad it wasn't too competitive lol
we asked about power levels and they said it was pretty casual yeah
Bro a paid pod sounds nice
Like I’m all for a fun game of commander, but with a little prizing for a bit more of tryharding is nice
Paid pods aren’t too bad
People think it’ll be cedh but it’s usually cards people have and maybe a budget cedh deck that loses to attackers
Also the power level of most casual decks are high enough that they have a good enough chance to play Vs cedh (not 25% but close enough)
The p3k cards are kind of not great to have a price analysis of because they’ve been printed once in a super short run
This is like 1 of 5 relevant ones
Imperial Recruiter, Loyal Retainers, Riding the Dilu Horse, Him, Imperial Seal, and the extra turn spell
Why Mythic tho
because formerly expensive
Well I do get it’s a huge powerhouse ij draft but still
but also look at the price history of the reprinted p3k cards, they're in the tens or single digits now
None were mythic were they?
Yeah the cards don't hold value
What rarity was the extra combat one
Recruiter is like $2 now
Sun Quan will drop hard
Probably yea
Riding the Dilu Horse is crunched out
Sucks because that card could use it
Would drop it to like $3
Sometimes this happens to me yeah I get a few lucky wins due to just outpunching before they assemble
and their interaction is a bit wonky vs me
Holy retro ornithopter and retro mishra’s bauble
We still don’t know the rare land cycle for the set right?
Arachnogenesis was also randomly a $50+ card
Razaketh is gonna fucking dip harder than anything
Card is such a meme
I just realized we're gonna get a lord windgrace reprint huh
Oh that would be the first since the precon no?
Yep, only other print of it was this
It’s less than $5 wotc ain’t gonna upshift that
Artifacts
god I love that windgrace
it is extremely cute
now I kind of want to make windgrace just to use that art
$30 for that art though. Which honestly, isn't that horrible

: Flip a coin. If you win the flip, destroy all nonland permanents.
less to cast for each opponent.)
