Fiendsmith Engraver - this one might be a stretch because he hasn't had much time to become iconic but he's literally Dante DMC man he'd be an insane high skill ceiling ToD safejump 50/50 oki machine
Zoodiac Drident - hard to decide how she'd play but I imagine she'd just be Baiken, most popular character by far, fails to convert at all

But he’s also less of an rng character because he throws item less because of how good everything else in his kit is

I think shadows are a cool concept of being extreme high risk high reward characters but I think the final patch balancing decisions were a little heavy handed with compensating for the inherent weaknesses
And when shadows were first introduced they purposefully kept a lot of the older strong stuff from some of the silly auto combos (Mitsuru and Aigis for example) because they were meant to balance out the lack of defensive options
So now we’re in a weird space where a lot of shadows have better auto combos, more meter gain, higher damage potential and permanent access to the best supers in the game
There’s a few characters where normal is better ofc but it’s just a weird result of game updates getting cut short
The actual extremely silly one was reducing the damage reduction
Shadows in current patch would be just fine and good if they still dealt 10% less
