I underestimated just how many changes Memory of Eden made to the original AGE script

Didn’t get screenshots for all of it but there’s so much stuff regarding how Zeheart ends up in the school club/friends with Asemu that’s so much worse here

Mainly in that it leans much more into the “Zeheart planned to use Asemu all along” angle, with his subordinate helping him

Whereas Memory of Eden makes it that Zeheart joined the school (and school club) because he wasn’t sure exactly where Asemu was, or if he had the Gundam still

And he doesn’t initially plan to join the club, Romary convinces him. And then Zeheart’s subordinate (who’s like twice his age) is like “yeah, school life might be good for you”

Doesn’t help that G Gen Eternal is really kinda breezing through this part of the plot

||also, it seems like this event is the first time the commander meets viper/jackal since the terror attack, and that reunion went way too uneventfully lol||

||neon got a more impactful reunion with them in the main story (where she operated as my anger translator tbh) than the commander in this event||

||i'm also kind of not a fan of the fact it basically cleared E.H. of all wrongdoing? like, completely unironically, she basically did nothing wrong. i figured they were gonna go for a more morally grey past but her worst sin was inaction and inability to stop the extremism that crow started. it makes her commitment to atonement kind of weird (not wrong per se), especially when placed next to viper who actively took part in the worst of it all but is far more aloof about the whole "redemption" thing||

actually cleared a Level 9 and two Level 10s without any incident

even the hard mode fights are mostly just bullet sponges

yeah 10 levels for normal (so 50 bosses total), then hard mode the day after you clear the last of level 10, then challenge mode if you clear hard bosses

(the only thing that matters for scoring and rewards is how fast your union clears normal mode. hard/challenge mode mean nothing and are just flexes iirc)

honestly kind of a shame that hard mode doesn't count for anything, since i do enjoy trying to optimize it

the several changes they made to union raid in the last year or so (introducing hard mode and then letting you choose any boss for hard mode instead of having to do them in order) were good ones, wish they'd rework the reward structure a bit for us tryhards though

shift up is glacially slow at changing anything to do with gameplay though tbh

no doubt that it's partially intentional since they value keeping the experience consistent to avoid losing people by changing things up, but i'ma be real, they really seem to phone it in on everything other than story and music lol

granted, i'm sure they're aware that gameplay is low on the list of reasons people play nikke, but it's basically been in stasis in terms of "things to do and how to do them" for a year or more now

i agree that stuff like the sensortower report is useless for estimating total revenue since they're missing potentially massive chunks of game revenue (android and PC)

but it's still moderately interesting for identifying trends in spending, since in theory that affects all platforms equally

so when people post the graph of sunna earning like 10% what YSG did, i think that can actually be useful info to analyze

the exact earnings figures don't matter, the relative amounts do

that said, a character's meta relevance is probably the strongest indicator for whether the banner will sell well

but even then there's a lot of exceptions. you can look at graphs like these and identify the obvious reason yuzuha and lucia spiked relative to surrounding banners (they're meta supports), but then why didn't astra? vivian being the highest apparent seller between miyabi/yixuan is notable (she's meta of course, but more meta than astra at the time of release? hell nah... but ofc she also had massive phaethon simp energy which is another selling point)

oh hey, i know the gimmick of this one cause of the tabletop game

Phaethon's has 9 more AP, worth a whole substat
and its DMG% buff can be active whenever, not just during the stun window

that said, Shining will always be at least partially active for Aria's major damage windows, and always fully active in the stun window; while Phaethon's uptime is a larger hassle, especially without Sunna

Some calculations put it as much as 5% higher, but 1. that requires significantly more demanding play 2. requires Sunna and 3. is comparing against a suboptimal Shining build

Also, this is all before Nangong releases, and if nothing else, that'll reduce the DMG% uptime gap
