the elemental system lets them make some decently creative puzzles even if the solutions can be boiled down to "hit x with pyro, and y with hydro"
and a good chunk of the cast has exploration passives and bonuses
botw had benefit of everything being centered around link and his movement. genshin can let you toy with solutions outside of the box for some shit because you learned that pyro and anemo reactions in exploration can let you create wind gusts to float up briefly and nab a chest without the intended method
