for better or worse, these last few chapters (except the most recent one) they committed to waifei being yixuan's turf, so she operates as a sort of yixuan-ex-machina and shows up to save the day or tip the scales in basically every conflict
and while narratively that's a bit frustrating, it'd make even less sense for yixuan to be missing during all the catastrophes in waifei, and if she's there then obviously she's helping
meanwhile we still don't know what shunguang's association with yunkui actually is, since she seems to be very disconnected from it all to the point that she didn't want yixuan to know she was even in waifei
