the other extreme was the camellia golden week tv mode though, that was fine

and i do think the story commissions that used tv mode were good too

it gave more storytelling flexibility, and imo the general decline in storytelling quality and apparent pacing issues can be almost directly traced to them nixing tv mode

especially since their replacement is just super slow dialogue during gameplay

m2 jane is the most important part of that team going nuts

so whether or not alice > vivian for jane probably actually depends on your jane investment, not alice

the thing about anomaly bangboos is that they need to use their chain attack with 2+ agents of their element to really matter, and you almost never want to use bangboo chain attack

so a bangboos' usefulness is 99% how much it can do with its active skill

moccus is the clear winner of those options

however, even then it's all pretty minor

the "can't go wrong with" bangboos are snap and butler

their active skills are useful on any team and importantly buff the actual agents you use

imo the only bangboo with an active skill that doesn't buff but has enough impact to make a difference is robin

and that's only with vivian

it's basically an anomaly bangboo, but when in an anomaly team with vivian it applies huge ether anomaly buildup with its active skill instead of chain attack

and that's a huge difference for its usability

still minor ofc, bangboos aren't gonna make or break any team

but definitely enough to make it noticeably better than, say, the standard ether bangboo options (resonaboo and devilboo)

btw the new spook shack bangboo can regen energy just like butler, and if you get it to level 3 then it only needs 1 spook shack character to improve its energy regen by 20%

will probably be the best option for spook shack comps pre-level 3 or even just solo yuzuha/alice/whatever comps after level 3
