in all seriousness this fight took years off my life, it really does not work with eve
because after switching off her she stays on field briefly to do her string explodey shit
which means doing the triple parry becomes really tough if eve is on field when the sequence starts, since you'll parry switch to lighter, but on the next hit eve will still be on the field so you can't parry back to her
once you know that limitation it's easy to adjust but figuring that out took me a while, i thought the fight was bugged for quite a few attempts before i saw eve was still on the field for the second attack in the chain
and the adjustment is jank since you're forced to quick switch to lighter as soon as the rockets launch and run around aimlessly for a bit

to go back to this for a moment, the fact that this boss's mechanics apply a bunch of chain attack + ult damage buffs, and one of the DA buffs this rotation is a huge chain attack damage buff, but then there's only a fire resistant boss in the rotation is absolutely diabolical
eve is the only chain attack spammer in the game and the boss + DA rotation buffs set her up perfectly... and then it's fire resistant. like bruh
speaking of which, can we please get a disk set that buffs chain attacks. the fact that eve doesn't really have a good 4pc drives me nuts
or like... just change woodpecker to also give a stack for chain attacks, that'd be nice as a baseline

in other news, finally went went through the arcane archive event story (i'd been skipping it just for daily completions since i was too busy to sit and read)
honestly a very solid event, especially for the "filler" unvoiced 2 week mold of event types
