i gotta say after seeing the brown dust 2 collab character skill cutscenes, that regardless of people being salty they're not horny enough (b/c that's just the sort of game BD2 is and the community it cultivates), they're super high quality--like visually very crisp and with good animation
it sorta bums me out to open nikke and have a skill cutscene play that has obvious pixelation/low res textures used throughout
like, to be clear, i love lots of nikke burst animations, but the actual image quality of them compared to BD2's is quite noticeable
i feel like shift up does some janky shit to compress images and animations, probably to conserve space on mobile devices, but it torpedos some of the quality
i know they're capable of very crisp sprites and good animations, all of the nikke idle/touch animations are imo some of the best in the business

first things i always notice is a 40sec CD burst 2. thus far the only characters of that archetype who manage relevance are the pirate maids, and that's because they're a duo built on alternating bursts
as advertised though, it looks if you pair arcana with a normal CD reducer (say mermaid) + a nikke that reduces full burst time by 5 sec (isabel, vesti), you end up with proper CD reduction for no-delay rotations
her buffs outside of burst are kinda bonkers too and because they last 15 sec, they'd apply to the next (non-arcana) full burst rotation too
