the distribution for gfl2 global is apparently a mess and there are two possible launchers: darkwinter (sunborn, i.e., the actual devs) and haoplay (publisher)

there's no cross-play between darkwinter and haoplay, and i think they're meant to cover different regions?

and i happen to know that the darkwinter servers are releasing on dec 3, while haoplay is dec 5

in gfl1 you had four resources you could throw into the gacha: ammunition, rations, and a couple others, and depending on how much of each you threw in could influence the type of doll you rolled

i'm still not at the optimal ratio for zhu yuan who benefits a ton from properly investing in crit but not so much that she's losing out on other stats

nicole c6 helps zhu yuan a lot in that respect

but both crit stats feel like very optimization-heavy investments

also characters give a fair bit of free crit in this game

like ben gives a free 16 just for existing with his core passive

i dream of the day when nikke allows setting more than 5 lobby screens total though, 5 ain't enough

i'm generally bad at reading nikke skills and determining whether they'll be good

but this looks pretty damn strong for water teams against water-weak bosses

sadly that'll be her only niche due to all her elemental damage buffs

but tbh i'm coming around to liking element-specialized nikkes, encourages more variety from raid to raid and in some anomaly intercepts if they're good enough

i hope x.maiden is less restrictive though because we need some better elysion tower options, and x.guillotine doesn't rank there unless it's a water-weak stage

i'm sure it will be, there aren't enough units in the game to reliably pull yet where i'm worried about instantly powercreeping my units

mosin will probably be one of my main DPS for a while, esp since even if i pull for suomi she's a support

tbh she seems like she pairs with suomi specifically well too

since suomi does so much free stab damage on her action support, and i think that should also trigger mosin's assist if suomi stab breaks something with her support

but idk fully how that all works

game feels like it's slowing to a crawl on some maps comparatively

a map that should take a couple minutes to finish takes more like 10

i know my computer is a bit of a potato but i also know chapter 1's maps weren't this bad

it's never really bothered me tbh, it's a few days worth of consistently spending battery charge

imo the more annoying part of the leveling experience is grinding the mats for skills and core passives

thankfully that got much better when they made it so you could spend battery on extra notorious hunts per week

leveling core passives was awful when you only got 3 NHs per week

i did a chapter 3 stage earlier today and managed to properly plan out a stab break + stacking a bunch of buffs on my mosin-nagant to one-shot an elite, like 1k damage and instadead

it's a minor victory but that's the kind of thing that hooks you on the gameplay

I assume the idea is to use the event characters pushing ability to try and either put her in her own bombs or just push her out of cover

also, masive FYi for girls frontline 2, but you can disassemble the low rarity weapons you don't want, and the currency it gives you can be used in the store to buy lots of items including premium and standard vouchers for rolling on the banners. it refreshes too.
