Cause in singles fire mon largely was never given the defensive tools it needed to actually work and stealth rocks made that even worse
Part of the reason why Moltres is in OU cause even with it's mid level bulk, fire/flying is a really good defensive type and with heavy duty boots you are no longer susceptible to stealth rocks
