I imagine finding gym trainers is a bit easier too; I can't think of many trainer types who solely train fighting types all that much. There's Black Belts (Makes you wonder how easy it is to get a Black Belt), Battle Girls, and a few exclusive to some games, mostly the Expert from RSE
One feature I do wish was possible would be like, to change the kind of TM your Gym uses. If you got yourself a TM, maybe with a bit of a call and some other requirement you can make some arrangements for a new TM to specialize in
So instead of Step-Up, you can have your Gym TM be something like Revenge, or Drain Punch
