remember, vgc's getting a restricted format coming up

a lot of restricteds are just naturally bulkier than the average mon

it's all fun and games for alakazam until it does like 25% to giratina with psychic

(that's not an actual number, idk what the calcs are)

but iirc from that video the context was largely informed by restricted format

munkidori is weak to ghost, making it not a great matchup against flutter that packs shadow ball; it's dark weak so it's not a great match against kingambit or other sucker punch users, and it's probably not doing much to break through incineroar or the like

and i just mentioned exactly 0 restricteds

once koraidon/miraidon/zacian/calyrex-s start running the show, it'll be even worse for it, most likely

probably the best bet for getting decent output out of it would be some psychic spam setup, but idr if it gets expanding force or not

all that said, it'd be incorrect to completely dismiss it without some testing with it

but i don't see it going that well

I only just learned how Voltorb Flip drops levels

i never looked into the specifics but in my experience, the fewer correct cards you flip, the more you tend to drop

even if you do the correct thing for purposes of time and leave the ones unflipped, it feels to me like you drop more if you hit an early bomb than if you were to flip all the known ones and then hit a bomb at what otherwise would have been the same time

If you fail, it checks how many cards you’ve flipped over, and if you’ve flipped less than the current level, you drop to a level equal to the number of cards flipped
