When you put up Dondozo and Tatsugiri:
- Dondozo's stats doubles
- Tatsugiri cannot be damaged by attacks or targeted for attacks
- Tatsugiri cannot attack
When Tatsugiri faints due to poison:
- Dondozo keeps his stat boosts
- The user can now put in a second pokemon
- That second pokemon can now attack and be targeted for attacks
Which I think wasn't intended and it's sad that this is the most viable strategy for the idea.
Endure+Toxic Orb also can be countered with any form of residual damage, so team preview makes this idea really predictable

...But not attacks with additional effects.
Stuff like Chilling Water, Mystical Fire, Spirit Break and the like still work just fine.

Truth be told, I don't think such moves would work anyways, since it seems each participant gets targetted by a move.
It's the additional moves they end up using when at a certain threshold that target a specific mon
It helps, I think, but not too terribly much

I'll have to do some testing on that matter, but it seems the way it works is, the raid boss picks an attack for each participant on each of its turns, and they're affected by that move.
So you can have situations where it seems your mon didn't take too much damage, but your partner just got wrecked by a different kind of move that turn entirely.
