Fuel tanks and an engine if you want to send it anywhere. You also will want communication antenna, cargo storage, passenger storage, batteries, monopropellant and rcs thrusters, docking ports, mobile processing lab and science experiments if your on science or career

I like to have a mk2 lander can for 'mission control' at its core. Because that command pod with two pilots can control nearby drones.

And of course have a decent relay antenna. 🙂

you could always try making a gravity ring with the stock motors & passenger cabins if you have the DLC

I refunded the dlcs the day I got them because I didn't realise that I had my gravity was set to 0.01 so I thought the twr was wack
