I really need help. I can load into the main menu, but if I try to make a new game, the loading screen will go all the way until "Pumping Sim Once" and freeze. It will crash after about 1-2 minutes of this. I've tried every. single. thing. Installing the C++ redistributable, lowering graphics settings, changing windows mode, switching resolutions, nothing works. I have a 3060, 16gb of ram and an i5-12400f. This is a repost, as the original died and never got comments, if this is against the rules, sorry but i saw nothing against it.

Update: ive tried more, and instead of crashing it just freezes while transitioning from the loading screen to the building selection menu. I pulled up the task manager and it said low memory, but ive seen people play the game fine with 16gb of ram, so i really dont understand the issue.
This is a well known issue, and seems to happen irrespective of gpu or cpu, since I have a pretty low end setup and I had the same issue. I overcame it by switching to low setting, force closing, restarting, force closing again, then the next start it worked. Turn on/off fps counter to confirm it’s actually changing the settings.
The weird thing is that multiple people have found multiple fixes
I have it on an external disk so im gonna try to move it to my main disk
did @wispy briar's fix solve the problem? i have the same issue but trying and trying again solves nothing for me
It did for me
I reinstalled the game as well, and moved it to my main drive
Still unstable but thats to be expected
It’s worth noting that I’m not playing at all because after I played once or twice, it got stuck again. Better to wait for a bug fix than work against the grain constantly fighting bugs.
