#Unable to place docking port on ground anchor

I have a ground anchor that successfully attached to Duna. I would like to dock the base to the ground for better stability. When I click to place the port on the ground anchor, nothing happens. It just won't place. What am I doing wrong?

The port I am trying to place the one on the bottom right (visually covering the anchor I am trying to place it on)

i havent used ground anchors much, and i assume they are a placement node on the ground

my left click is definitely working because it sometimes sets the anchor as a target

Now I'm having an issue on another one of my craft, I can't disable breaks on this rover.
