I have a craft that can get to an orbit 250km above kerbin and it has a few science modules. However, i have a larger one that I can't recover. If i use a scientist on EVA to take the data from it, will i gain the rest of the science?

The science boots only apply to surface experiments from breaking ground iirc

no im using stock. It says i get 0 science from transmitting with the antenna, while i'll get extra if i recover the experiment

You can take the data with any kerbal, not just scientists
