How to farm Level 20 Dominion Shield as a Solo

I'm actually doin a longer run since creation + 1st travel is taking a few minutes.
I'm opening :

• 7 chests
• 1 orb chest
• 2 parkour runs
  all lv 20 appart 1 parkour run 18+ but it's on my path for the orb chest

I'll prolly be able to do a recording this evening if someone want to see it

I've taken some lower level chests for a friend but all the chests I've list are there. Feel free if you have any questions or any other chests to add, I'm sure there are !
Obviously if the ascension starter doesn't disappear like mine, use it before going to the first zone to the north so you can take the local obelisk in case of death 🙂

i'd also add in getting a training manual from the first hidenseek, and turning in 10 ephemeral hearts for a Spark Crystal per run to upgrade weapons to rank 4.

so i just got a level 1 rogue leg armor from that lvl20 chest at the beehive. either armor doesn't get the guaranteed lvl20 or it was "fixed" to prevent level 1 character farm. can anyone confirm or say what type of gear they found today on that route?

I found level 17–20 gear with three level 1 characters and even a level 21 chestpiece but unfortunately, no Dominion shield.

Did some1 get the dominion out of the normal chests. Because I assume that it only drops from 1 time activity completions and not the standard chests. IE defeating a world boss, jumping event and the orb event.

Since those chests are also one-time open, the number of interactions/completions is not the determining factor. But as you alluded to the type of activity would be it.
Basically "collect orbs in timed event along a set path" and "collect 3 orbs to unlock chest" are those available for solo low level completion WITH potential Dominion drop.

the issue is that these completion of "events that give EXP" are faction events that trigger this world drop. opening a normal chest doesnt count into this i assume.

because i already was running like 80+ alt runs and this normal chests didnt drop a single dominion/ radiance bla

Dominion is an open world gear just like Radiance and the max lvl for open world gear is 17-18 right? no 20?

I think the blue gear is bugged. All blue pieces are level 1. Green pieces will always be 20, and the occasional 21.

The solo way is just referring to creating/recreating level 1 alts.

There is more opportunity to get it if you level up a character and complete all of the level 20 area events (it will also drop in low level areas, but it will also be lower level).

Yeah there's a world boss that drops it as well.

Chest items are based off of the level of the area. A level 1 can open a chest in a level 20 area and get level 20 items.

Whats the 3 hour grind that would lead to a dominion drop? All I read from this "guide" is do one-time activities, but I already completed 100% of both regions (chests, activities and orbs).

The 3 hour grind comes from making a lvl 1 alt then running to the lvl 20 area and open the epic chests again and if u don’t get it u delete the character and remake because dominion is a rare drop

Ohhh that makes sense... you dont lvl an alt to 20, you just rush there on a lvl 1 alt?

The chests that make u go interact with orbs, they have a higher chance of dropping better stuff then the normal chests

All of them ? 👀 that's probably a bug i guess, i've never had lower than 19 there and the zone is one of the highest in game :/ we don't know a lot about chests features tho, we may have missed something i guess

Also found lvl 20 gear in it. So not always. But I could also loot lvl 1 or lvl 0 gear because it doesnt show any level and has like beginner stats. IE blue chest/ pants for Priest. If we ever have lvl 1 pvp I'm geared.

thats the thing you dont. maybe there is some tech in getting 2-3 extra levels while doing your route but I doubt theres a class able to kill 3-4 lvl 20 monsters

Let's hope some1 can confirm a dominion or other world faction drop from normal lvl 20 chests.

Or we learn to live with a lvl 18 or 19 dominion... from orb chests

u have 4 different type of chests.
orb chest = collect 3 orbs (gives EXP when u finish it)
kill chest 1 = kill mobs that spawn (gives EXP when u finish it)
kill chest 2 = clear the area and fill the gauge (gives EXP when u finish it)
normal chest = opening it (NO EXP)

everything that gives EXP gives you an extra REWARD. This REWARD can be Dominion/ Radiance and so on.

there are only 5 lvl 20 events that give exp.
kill boar.
kill cinder boss.
kill chest next to boar.

kill chest in munster mine.
jumping event top of bee hive.

maybe lower events can also award you lvl 20 but didnt see it yet nor somebody else could confirm it

also theres a specific armor from ben and people tell me its only achieveable by the first time kill. not sure how true this is.

this is the only way to get lvl 20 dominion if u want lower lvl dominion just farm the orb chests

Whats the real diff from 18 to 20 though? Stat wise. Prob doesnt change much to make it worth the complexity of doing parties to farm boss and stuff
