So, we all know that promoting the Employees will allow them to grow in level, dependent on which task you have them doing. However, other than getting another star and having to pay more for their wages, what exactly is the bonus the employee gets with the promotion? Do they work faster/more efficient as they are promoted as a stocker? Do the cashiers scan books and calculate change quicker?

I honestly dont remember reading anything about the benefits of promoting the employees other than how they get another star and we have to pay them more.

Yup you got it! The cashier checks out + scans faster, the stockers walk faster + put items away quicker.
A level 20 employee after being promoted also is quicker than a level 20 employee before you promote so it's worth it!

Ah! Im not going to lie, I havent noticed a difference, but that might have been because ive only ever promoted the lower level employees...? Either that or I am dumb and just oblivious to it, which is a huge possibility. XD

It's a small increase at each promotion but they get faster when you promote and each level after they get faster. The promote speed increase is more than each individual level though. There's 120 levels total but if you compare a level 40 to a level 5 you'll see a noticable difference if they're working side by side
