You actually can - pick the item up, then (at least on deck and controller), press right on the d-pad to box it up, and left to sell. Sorry, I don’t play on PC so I am not sure the shortcuts for that, but they should pop up in the bottom left of your screen when you have the bowl in hand.

Choose to box it up, and then the sell option appears

And you’ll get 100% of the purchase price back

I mistakenly ordered a box of books last time and I wanted to sell them off like we could with boxed furniture. Is this possible?

I felt guilty 🤣 I have another question regarding managers in case you have any idea~ 🥲 Are we not supposed to get that much money from stores with managers? My Lyon shop looks like nothing is moving. 💀 I get less than 1k Bleps per day even though I have tons of items in stock.
