Hey everyone! Zach, Ian, Alex I would like to officially give my 100 hour suggestion. Disclaimer: everything written here is 100% my opinion and my list is based on my personal experiences of media, this game, and things I like "or at least thought would be cool”. I would like to start with this by saying I love this game. It has made its way to my top 3 most played job sims on my steam profile. With this just being released I was very impressed with the state of the current game. Everything runs great and what bugs I have found have been mostly whimsical! One of the things that has truly made me laugh in this game is all the parodies. Books, Cats, and soon to be cafe items is all I wanted in a cozy game! You guys are doing amazing and I can't wait to see how the game grows on our journey to 1.0. I have compiled a few list of suggestions for you three as the following below. Themed Store #1 "French Fantasy" a Store based on a creamcicle vibe that sales board games and fantasy only books at the Paris Location. Doing nearly 28K in profit a day and 4K Passive Income. I used Genre Exclusive, Book of Ra, and The Fantasy Book for my Legendary books here to get this amount of income.

#

Themed Store #2 Yume Shinrin(All the Employee Speed books)

#

This is it, again thank you for all your doing and keep trucking cant wait for the next patch!

#

Im leaving out my bugs from the bug chat because 99% of them you have set to fix and/or were me lol

#

I would like to also see that fiction books get sorted to its more correct genres, as well as kids books have their own Genre. Thats just me though.

Thanks for the writeup echo. You gave great ideas on new things to implement. If you have ideas on balance/areas you got bored and think we should try adding more unlocks (level 25-30 for example is a long dry spot imo) please let us know. We're always trying to improve the game like you know.. our target audience isn't people who put 100 hours in a week, though 😅

Since you asked Ian here, sorry in advanced this will be the only time I tag all 3 of you I just want to make sure you are all in the thread and can see it. Plus so no one can say "I didn't see it " Stares at Alex luldog

One thing I have thought about is maybe adding environment based expansions to expand land. For example, maybe building a Zen garden or park in Japan it could give a small modifier and slightly change the map in that area. As for locations, some things I think would benefit each location…

Lyon:
Add a small storage room to it big enough to fit 2 or 3 large storage shelves. I love the store and I know it's only supposed to be the tutorial store but I would have loved more time in it. Also it's already small there to start so having a storeage in the lobby makes it look really ugly. I just feel like our time at the location is short lived. Even adding things to it after unlocks can be hard if you want storage and the new items.

Paris:
I like the Paris location and its big, I think once you add the cafe and more books that can scale into that level “Dry Spot” would help a lot. Maybe adding something to that range. I remember a conversation Alex and I had about Grocery store sim and how it takes so long to get everything in the levels. It takes a lot to get Paris to 100% so adding some higher level items to the location like magazines or maybe special box set books would help and I don't think it would be that bad. If you don't know what I mean by box set, sometimes they sell bundles of books in cases of 3-5 then wrapped them together at a bulk price normally 3$ or so discount per book. As for expandly land in Paris I think it's a touch a little expensive for the space. I think a 5% reduction or so in price would go a long way. I’m experienced at this rate and it took me roughly 20-25 hours on a fresh save to fully expand Paris to 100% Unlock. Keeping in mind that wasnt my first save and im not the average player. Once you add Cafe items it will make the space tighter and expanding take longer as well because there are more wheels turning. This is all taking in the factor just Paris and the income required to touch it. I haven't even said something about Japan…

Japan:
I love Japan. I think so far it's well done and thought out. The only thing I think will come up will end up being storage. We will want Cafe stuff in Japan and with that will challenge space. I propose keeping location space the same but add a small out building to the side of the building or in front of it. Give it the same theme and design but it's not attached to the main building. I know that would bring the question of Employee and player walk times and how annoying that would be but maybe instead….. Add a third floor or two more tiles to both the 1st and 2nd floor.

Closing statement… Overall I just feel that to future proof or somewhat do so we need to add a little more room. The cafe will add a lot on top of any new books. I will not disclose the number here but with the listed products planned to release I just feel like we will outscale the current size of ⅔ locations.

Thank you Echo! This is the kind of feedback I'm really looking for. We get flooded with bug reports (rightfully so) and very few people mention much about game balance and overall thoughts on progression, etc. I think most people are content and generally only write about things when they are unsatisfied with the state. That being said I always think there's room for improvement and appreciate your thoughts.

If you 100%'d Paris without buying Japan I think it's fine to be a bit expensive. The goal is for users to upgrade each shop and get the passive income rolling to help. We are planning on bumping those values up for most players (you'll drop some if you are min maxing. I was getting 7.6k from Japan I think?)

I like all the ideas. A storage room in Lyon does sound good. It's still teaching players the ropes while keeping it small and cozy.

We left the left of Japan open specifically so we can add something in the future. I do think with the cafe we'll surely want more space.

Not sure how we'd implement a zen garden but it sounds really cool

I Zen garden wasnt suppose to be the take away. Just the thought of expanding and adding things to the envoirment other than space would be cool. like prefeb choice of upgrades. Like ya if you want to waste the money by building a park or something else why not

#

Oh yeah I love that idea. That's one way we can do permanent store upgraded without just infusing cash into the shop. Park gives 10% increased customers and 10% increase to passive income or something like that. And it can be really expensive meant for after the shop is fully expanded.

I usually don't have any specific questions. I just like to hear if people thought there were lulls in the game, if anything felt like an unnecessary grind, if anything was poorly balanced.

Yeah we'd rather have people "win" the game than quit because the endless grind feels terrible. We might add something like that with the understanding that people that are doing that already "won" the game lol

To me anything we say in a public channel is free game to say. Don't say we made any promises though 🤣
