With the substantial changes being made to Civ VII with the 1.4 Test of Time update, I was thinking the feedback channel can reset. This will keep people from reading or commenting on issues or features which may not be relevant anymore, and keeps the feedback rather current.

No feedback in the game itself for now. I hope everyone enjoys the update and can help continue the feedback which has helped improve the game substantially.

Adding to this discussion: it’s not that old feedback is irrelevant, but that the current system of “bump existing threads on similar topics” fails when the user clicks the thread and goes to the first post and misses the context.

So many threads during the Test of Time playtest got bumped by people saying “this was addressed in Round X! Congrats”, and then followed by days and days of threads of people refuting points made back during 1.0 or 1.1 that were entirely irrelevant… because they only see the thread is at the top of the list, click, see the first posts, and gloss over the dates.

Even just archiving threads that have been inactive for over two months would do a lot to preempt confusion.

There will be a lot of threads resolved with this update don’t worry - there’s a whole process ^^

#

There is still plenty of threads that are not resolved with this update - for example stuff on expanding religion etc

Since you have a big process underway anyway. I'd like to suggest if you can make sub categories for feedback threads? It will make finding relevant threads and avoiding duplicates easier.

For example. Have a channel for map feedback, combat, civ balance, religion, government etc.

But I will convey this to the concerned team

Definitely our first priority would be marking and locking the resolved threads, post 1.4.0 update.
