In Beyond Earth, i loved the idea of the leaders "evolving" with the main alignment they were following (Purity, Supremacy, Harmony). It was also a great indicator to know what alignment they were following, and thus, what victory they were pursuing.

It would be great in Civ 7 if leaders were wearing traditional clothes from the civ they're currently leading, for more immersion, and more identification throughout different games.
For example, having Ada Lovelace wearing Han clothes, then Pirates clothes, then British clothes.

I understand there's 2 issues with this though :

  • some civs might not have such clothes, or might be close to another civ from the same age
  • It's a lot of work for full attires (it can be discreet like in Beyond Earth though)

In Civ3, leaders outfits changed based on the age, I wish that came back

I loved them, but some of them, like the modern Joan of Arc were definitely unexpected directions!
