There needs to be a way to destroy old buildings if we don't want them anymore. I'd like to be able to bulldoze an entire urban district to make way for a wonder or just to clear up the urban sprawl. Sometimes the places where those buildings were put don't make much sense in being there anymore, especially if the resources next to them suddenly vanish between ages.

History may be built in layers, but not everything lasts to be built upon. Sometimes things just decay, what once was a populated district could be abandoned and left to return back to the Earth in which it was built upon. This is a fact of reality and should be possible in the game too!

also useful if you accidentaly place one of the buildings of the unique civ quarter in a way to prevent the quarter

I'm not sure if this would fit into the design for warehouse buildings. However, I think wonders should be able to overbuild

I think warehouse buildings could be an exception. I mainly mean just for buildings that go obsolete in the next era. I've had games where I build a great science district, surrounded by 3 resources, only for next era for those resources to move. Thus that district isn't as good anymore, and I'd rather just demolish it to save on urban space. Especially if I don't plan building anything else there.

For specialists, I'd say when you demolish a district you get the specialists on that district back. This way you could place them elsewhere.

I am a fan of warehouses "decaying" and being able to be re-charged (like bridges), or overbuilt

Yeah for sure, I feel like they could work those buffs into newer buildings. Why do I still need a saw pit when I now have a saw mill for example.

They could give warehouses "tiers".

T1/2/3 granary.
Exploration warehouses start on T2.
Modern warehouses start on T3.

I think all of that isnt really necessary, I think it would completely suffice if we simply could overbuild warehouse buildings (with a warning popup), so the only time you would do it is when you really hate where you placed it before.

Well the bonuses they provide are still rather important. If it meant overbuilding them would get rid of the bonuses, I'd prefer it to stay as is. But if the bonuses moved to a new building in the new age I'd be fine with it. But yeah, since I always seem to build the warehouse buildings first, they always tend to be closest to the city center and that isn't always the best place for them.
