Thanks for the reply - I did read through this but I don’t see where it says about playing the same civ from beginning to end? I talks about giving the ability to choose whatever civ you want when the age transitions, but not to keep the same one. It talks about improving the transitions but not eliminating them. I do see that you’ve at least seen the concerns about it.

The devs have definitely seen stuff ^^ they can’t reply to every bit of feedback or post sadly, there just isn’t the time in the world

But they do read all these feedback posts ^^

And in terms of eliminating them - not a critique - but it just makes it a very different game. So I just don’t know the practicality of it from a design perspective. Who knows what the future will bring though , would encourage you to add your support to the thread I linked though as it’s the biggest for the ‘classic’ approach as such

I’m sure you’re right that it would be incredibly difficult. For a player like me, that’s the only thing that can bring me back. But that’s in their hands! Thanks again for the reply.
