Very, very often the AI will offer me peace and I'll want to reference the map before agreeing. Either to figure out exactly which settlement(s) I want to take from them in the agreement, or even to decide if I'm ready for peace at all. I would like to be able to see the map during peace negotiations.

Noticed the same issue, I never remember town/city names and I always forget where they are, should be nice to be able to hide it before choosing.

Yes please bump this. This is so annoying and dont know how this wasn't implemented. I feel like they purposely excluse easy stuff like this to later add them as features.

Very good suggestion. I also noticed that sometimes I refuse the peace deal to check the locations on the map, then I open the diplomacy again and offer the same but the AI refuses. Is this a bug?

So it’s not a bug, but without the show map function you’re kinda screwed if you don’t know where the places are

I vaguely remember that it even happens in the same screen though. I remove the city from the "receives" menu, then I add it myself and the AI changes his mind, doesn't accept the deal that it proposed himself just a second ago.

It's a different topic so perhaps derailing this one ain't a good idea. Just noted.

That's definitely an interpretation, but I can almost guarantee it's not the motivation/rationale. The reason is limited development time/resources, i.e. any time spent on feature X during a development cycle means that features Y, Z, and R, S, T, U, V, W, ... etc are not being worked on that cycle. So difficult decisions have to be made by the planning team about which things get worked on with the finite available resources each cycle.
