In my opinion the end screen/ Game Summary could use a general overhaul to be more valuable aspect of the game. In Civ 6 i always turned to the statistics to understand how I performed relative to other players. Especially when playing with my brother where the games tend to become a bit competitive. I do understand that this might be a bit more difficult with the segmentation of the game, but I think it should still be implemented in some way to enhance the strategic aspect of the game.
My suggestions are the following:

  • Enhance the Summary at the end of the game. Currently, it feels a bit clonky to move between the screens at the end of the ages and it is a bit counter-intuitive it happened that I pressed the wrong button and already left the screen with no (apparent) chance of return. Also, the information gained from the summary is rather limited (basically just the points each Player gained in the different legacy paths
  • reestablish statistics (similar to Civ 6) to the summary, showing how different attributes developed over time. For example
    Yield (Gold, Science, Culture Happiness)
    Number of Cities
    Military Units
    etc.

Bonus: Include Markers into summary graphs for significant Events (stages of crisis, declaration of war, etc.) to correlate the graphs in the summary with game development

Double Bonus: Allow the player to set their own markers, when they consider a significant point in time during the game (e.g. change of strategy, or having the 7th beer, which might affect accountability)

I guess there is much more information that could be included into a summary to enhance the analysis of the game. Hopefully some commentators will add some aspects.

Agree! Also, where's the score system gone? Like you used to get points and they'd put you on a leaderboard

The end of a Civ VII game is very abrupt. You are presented with a black screen where you see whatever progress points, then kicked out to the main screen. May I humbly suggest, that at the very least, let us keep seeing the beautiful victory art that gave us the win as you tally up experience points? Let us relish the win we just had a bit longer. Adding statistics gives a level of satisfaction of a game long played. Is there a history of what type of victories each of my leaders has won?

What I would find exciting additionally, and what would significantly enhance the experience, is a short, automatically generated summary of the player's story at the end of a game. This summary could be based on key moments such as switching civilizations, wars, alliances, founding cities, crises, etc. It would provide a concise overview of the story, which I think would be a nice way to conclude the game.
