Yesterday I conquered Athens as Xerxes, King of kings, leading Persia, and a cool text appeared. It depicted Xerxes in all his glory alongside a text mocking Herodotus. When I saw it, I thought to myself: what a cool event! It should have granted a Steam Achievement or a specific memento that could be used later on.

In the current state, steam achievements are a pale version of what they used to be in civ 5 or 6. I know that the idea is to reward the players in game, with the memento system. I got you, but, I miss those history-inspired goals that you should unlock to obtain an achievement.

Also, Ada's victory's steam achievement is missing.

Ya it’s such a small detail that couldn’t have taken too much time to implement a more robust achievement list, just more evidence they rushed everything

The lack of even any civ-based achievements or meta progression is really sad.
