#On peace deal screen, let me click a view map button

Agreed
Yeah, this one is so annoying.
I'll go a step further. If this UI wasn't designed to work on tiny screens and the game was willing to actually use the 4k worth of screen space I have, it should be possible to see the deal details AND the map AT THE SAME TIME. That way, I could actually see the list of cities in play and click on them and find them on the map. How great would that be?
Yeah it’s unreasonable to assume we know exactly what & where all the cities are.
i Hate this issue, one more thing to add to peace talks, i even made a whole feedback regarding peace talks cause it is such a downgrade from previous civs
Or don’t make the x button on top right reject, let it act like the close button for other endeavors.
I learned that the hard way lol
Me too
Many people including myself play on 1080p monitors. You can't depend on everyone having a 4k monitor, and can't give advantage to those who do.
That being said, there is a massive amount of wasted space on that screen in 1080p. There is also so much wasted potential in peace deals.... where are the money or resource offers? Where are demands for demilitarization?
I really wish we had this. As a handheld Switch player, I find myself wishing to close the peace window every single time so I can figure out what cities are being offered to me (which sometimes they are cities I haven’t even met yet and are behind the fog of war)
Holy moly I couldn't agree more. I would like to know what cities they are talking about and being the human that I am I can't easily memorize which settlement is which so quickly (by name only).
Yep, view map needed here definitely. In fact, anywhere where you can't click out of a window.
bumping, since we've had a few duplicate posts for this
This. 100%.
There is probably a reason to block player actions if there’s an incoming peace deal in the same turn. It makes sense if another civ comes with a peace deal to block you from attacking in your turn until accepting the deal at the end.
I would say make the peace deal screen act like other endeavor screens still. Allows you to click X to close it and think about it. Moving your unit to that civ’s unit/settlement will trigger a warning though (like you moving a unit to a non-hostile civ tile) that says doing so will nullify the current peace offering. Not sure if there are current examples of queued action being nullified but I think this is reasonable so you don’t keep attacking while chilling on a peace deal
or implement a view-only mode where you can mouse-over the map and look at tile tooltips but no other actions available except a prominent "return to peace deal" button
when will this be in the game?
maybe the delay is because its heavily ui related and there is a big ui rework(sucritact hiring) coming ?
pls
otherwise very strange to leave this one out yea
A "view only map" world be so good for a whole bunch of reasons! Seems like a big feature though, but maybe they'll figure it out
Totally. Peace deals are far too basic in Civ 7. And why do I have to wait 8 turns to ask for peace if I’m declared on by AI?

FYI: this has been a long standing restriction in the civ series, i.e. after a war starts peace can't be proposed until X turns have passed. That doesn't mean there might be reasons someone could argue that mechanic should change, I'm just offering context that this isn't new.
Also allow this for all peace deals, not just ai any peacedeal may it be ai or player

Good point, title updated
