I like the idea of splitting up the era's however i don't like the fact that each time you achieve a milestone for example you built 2 wonders you achieve a culture milestone then the era progress increases. The game should just stop as soon as one player achieve's a victory and complete all the milestone's of a victory for example if you have captures enough setlements that ends the era. This would fix a lot of issue's with pace in the game also ad a just one more turn option !!

Please no, the modern era is already bad because it instantly dies when someone hits a victory. If every era did that the game would be nothing but a mad dash to the easiest and fastest victory in every run.

this is a terrible idea as Piagsus pointed out. At the very least if this was implmented it would need to be a toggleable option and not the default.

Sure but we would need to see how a "one more turn" option is going to be implemented first. There are so many ways for it to be added with the current system, many would make it completely unhelpful if suddenly one civ having 10 books completely ends the era. If the game wants to end antiquity and you click one more turn: Is exploration era off the table now or can you progress later? If you can progress is there a cost to not doing so or can I just stay in each era free until I've got the best possible position? Does tech freeze when you one more turn or do I get infinite future techs? Do they change how gold moves on or can I stockpile forever to just buy my way through the next era? Can I go conquer all my neighbors in the infinite antiquity so no one competes with me heading into the distant lands?

To be clear, I do want a "one more turn" option, but we cannot offer it as solution to other changes until we know how "one more turn" is going to be implemented with the new systems.

Bad idea because it will make people stale to get to the last step and farm the other 3 legacies to get maximum every age

one more turn at the end of an era doesnt seem like an idea that will work unless its a 1 age game. One more turn has always been at the end of a game. the end of an era goign into the next era is not the end of the game

1 more turn might work (at least for single player) if they give the option of like “one more turn” of the age (have it take another 50 turns or somethin) or advance to the next age.

i think a better option for the end of an era would be to allow X Number of turns after 100% complete. like 3-10 turns
