I don't know if it's been brought up yet, but it really seems like the proportions of Factory Resources in the Modern Age can't ever be fully utilized due to the contraints on Factory resource management and how many Factories you can have as they're limited to the settlement count. I think either A: An immediate increase so that Cities have 2 or 3 Factory Resource slots instead of only the 1, and then towns can be kept at 1 so that way you can increase the Factory resource usage by turning more towns into cities, or B: The Resources could be redistributed so that more are considered "city" or "other" resources.

So this is a UI issue. Factories can slot as many factory resources as they have available spaces for resources. But they only produce 1 point for each of a single type of resource.
So 5 oranges in a single factory settlement then it produces 5 points.
This is very not clear in the UI
I think it's more than a UI issue becaue I've tried to slot in multiple when I have open resource slots, but it doesn't allow it
You can only slot them in to a settlement with a factory. But you can 100% add more than one factory resource to a factory settlement
oh thats how it works???
Nod. The Right hand side should really tell you how many points you are getting like with treasure fleets
I guess they thought it unnecessary as you get 1 per slot, wherease treasure fleets are based on worked tiles which aren't visible on this screen
wait, so in that image of the cocoa, how many TF points are you getting per ship?
This is Modern Age so no ships, these are factories. In the above both Factories are producing 5 points each (I am not entirely sure on the frequency of that production, it might be per turn)
Even worse, when you uncheck "factories" in the UI, all it does is hide the factory icon. It doesn't hide the factory towns.
There should be a button next to the factory that says "place as many of this resource as possible". That would solve 2 birds with 1 stone.
Thats hilarious tbh.
Okay so my issue wasn't that I couldn't add multiple, it was that I couldn't add unique ones. I was trying to have cocoa, fish, and citrus all in the same city
But that makes sense
Yeah. I only figured it out reading the "tip" in the victory screen
Wow I also had no idea the game worked this way. Definitely needs some improvement to make this more clear!
