#How 'bout a full Mage and a Monk?

Hey folks!

So I'm nearing level 70ish and haven't even left Dustlanger yet, mostly because I am relentlessly mastering any and all weapons in my possession. And while Ranger is my first love, after all this mucking about with other classes too, I got to thinking:

  1. Runeblade is cool, but how about a full on Mage who can use magic wands and staves and has access to really potent AOEs?

2)Similarly can't help feel like fist weapons really deserve their own class—like a Monk—rather than being shoehorned into sentinel, maybe add bo or three section staff weapons and turn em loose!

Obviously these are "way down the road" ideas if you were to go for them at all, but I just wanted to point out I see some really great opportunities for expansion here.

Yes Ranged Mage Weapons.. On your no. 2: ||There are other fist weapons in game that are for Brawler and use a totally different attack/animation style||. The "Fists" under Sentinel do feel a little odd though because they aren't defensive or provide a support/healing ability.

Yea they needa Upgrade Fists to gauntlet and Bring Fighter Class Like Martial Artist or some with staff, gauntlet and Lotta get closer skills 😍

I totally +1 the idea of fists and proper gauntlets itemization and even a specific class in the game focused on that.
Hopefully we can get something like this in the future.

Wether people liked the game or not, I think taking inspiration from Hogwarts Legacys combat would fit a mage class in this game very well. Mainly focusing on the ability to hit them with ranged bolts while they float in the air to then slam them down and yank them toward you to restart the combo etc etc. This game already supports that playstyle very well, we would just need the passive to make enemies have some more hangtime in the air when using a staff.

Would love a Full monk and I think some of the breaker abiliies and ranger abilites have good monk feels (helped a friend build a "monk" and a lot of it is there but having a dedicated class would be neat. Maybe the monk could come from a hybrid stand point. I think the bo could be a bit faster but scale off of strength and the monk fist could scale of speed.

As for mage I think taking a page fromt he stonger spells of rune blade (namely Thunder Spear Swarm) that take whole seconds to cast and cant be interupted. raw mages could do a lot CC then have powerful spells that do a tone of damge (staff type weapons) or maybe they have a lot fast slinging spells that do a lot of DoTs and abilities that are traps. So you throw down the ice geyser some of the grobs use then bait the enemies run and gun style to get to you.

Yeah I think having different play styles would be cool too. The mage being a more tactical type and the monk getting to mock a trog
