There are a few items we just get to much of late game, plants aren't horrible as the refining process is only 1 step plant-potion. BUT ORE,! ore is HORRENDOUS once you get close to maxing elite loot and spawn totems mining and farming plants becomes irrelevant as elites now drop MUCH more than you would be able to farm. How much more? I've been running dungeons for lockboxes and I've gained about 8k corrupted windswept ore in just a few hours, far more than you would get mining in the same time. I actually like this, being able to switch from mining to killing is a really nice late game change however something needs to change, the amount of ore we receive in a time frame FAR exceeds the time it would take to refine it to the ingots that are more valuable and have use to them. I suggest either lowering the drop rate of many ores maybe even plants or adding a better way to refine said resources late game so we aren't stuck refining for half of our playthrough. Next, I know its been talked about a lot so ill keep it short we NEED something to do with the extra blin whistles. More blins, sell them, trash them, it doesn't matter I currently have 6 tall shelves of whistles and all the blins in use they are annoying to keep in your chest and annoying to keep in shelves.

What id be in favor of is a redoing the crafting system but take inspiration of the Guild war two crafting system , it still has that exploratory but you combine things to discover recipe , and then have blins to make that one item as you collect material ... maybe have a dedicated stump that call transport and then add in logic where when ever you get the materials it get used up so that by the time you get back to oden , its arleady ready for the shop to sell through.
Though I wouldnt mind a way of like once your oden box get up to 5k of one item , all excess get turn into gold convert , we alway need more gold for upgrades shrines. Would help on the overall balance of the loot galore 😄
I like gw2 crafting but for Cloudheim they wanted to go with a no menu approach, which is somewhat fine as is. If you want to process more ore, build more stations, it'll have the nice side effect of using more of those inactive blins you have.
I haven't tried selling the ore (because I neeeed it) but that might also be another solution
you can also feed gnasher i think he eats the ores ?
but once your already blinned out its just more issue
sadly selling ore isnt super worth the refined ingots sell for a good bit more and the weapons usually sell for alot more and then still selling 8k ore would take longer than refining it 😢
havent tried that think he just spits out anything not food tho
anything that sells can be fed to gnasher
Then it's time to make more NOMNOM stations (forges) to put those extra blins to work! x)
im maxed my setup allows me to stand in one spot and put corrupt ore in all 3 pools and ore in all 3 forges and still isnt fast enough...
Don't lower the drop rate on ores, yikes dude. Not everyone is playing high difficulty with maxed everything.
I think best bet is adding two more upgrade statues one for "max queued items" for when the crafting table ques things it can que alot more and other statue is "crafting speed" which makes crafting items in all cases faster
Upgrade statues would be the most versatile I think. They wouldn't have to change existing station models, they could gate them behind certain shop levels, and if they don't plan on doing much with stardust sinks, it costing stardust to upgrade (since it's upgrading your shop) would be a good endgame solution for excess stardust.
Even if level one was 10k stardust to increase slots to 1 full stack I would do that in a heart beat. Most of the current stations have almost random distributions of max items.
Including crafting queue
Cooking station = 16
Alchemy = 30
Cleanse pool = 60
Smelter = 45
They would also need to adjust how quickly you can ramp up placing the items to compensate that type of change. Similar to gnasher change.
Agreed we also need a "station is full" so you dont accidently throw your stack of ores into a full well and other things i do it so much and honestly it hurts me
Really all they need to do is add in a que system and automation for the ores to get smelted from cleansing action. That would solve about 80 percent of the current nussance .
in on normal....
and like i said this is a problem a good bit before you have elite totems max
either lowering drop rate or increasing refine speed is for sure needed though there is pretty much no use to having thousands of any given ore
Maybe something to allow you to change the level of the totem yourself after upgrading it. I'm not in favor of nerfing resource gen.
blinks , im on super hard difficulty , i am suprised your getting so much loot more then i am
do you have totems maxed and what lvl are you ive been thinking the amount increases as you fight higher lvl things
im only 250 ish i think
i havent upgrade that particlar totem yet am wanting to do chest finding before i slugged it hard with mats
we are about the same level i think im a bit higher only by 20 or so but its the totems i have elite spawns and elite loot maxed
makes since you dont have them max tho being on a higher difficulty
Very much agreed, at least about the refining grind. Refining is the single pain point for me in this game so far, even from the very beginning, it just does very little but gum up the entire play loop. The problem is made even more aggravating by the fact that (at least at the time of this writing) it isn't possible to split the party so that one person can sit and babysit the ore and do other base management, while everyone else goes adventuring. It's just an absolute slog that takes WAY too much time. Fix that "feels like work" grind and the whole game improves several fold.
oooh splitting party would be such a nice addition
