#How to test Affonso integration within the test mode of Dodo pay?

Testing Checklist:
✅ Create an affiliate and generate a tracking link
✅ Visit your website via the affiliate link
✅ Ensure the Affonso script loads and the affonso_referral cookie is set
✅ Complete a signup (optional)
✅ Complete a payment via Dodo Payments
✅ Confirm tracking and attribution in your Affonso dashboard

However, Affonso Dashboard does not support a test mode API Key from DodoPay.

how can we test this without using production keys ?

You can’t fully test affiliate attribution end‑to‑end with test keys right now — Affonso only processes live payments.

What you can do:

  • ✅ Test tracking layer only (safe in test mode)

    • Use affiliate link
    • Confirm affonso_referral cookie is set
    • Verify script loads correctly

  • ✅ Test Dodo payment flow separately in test mode

  • ⚠️ For full attribution (required)

    • Use live API keys
    • Create a low-value product (e.g. $1)
    • Run a real transaction
    • Verify it appears in Affonso dashboard

  • Optional safety:

    • Refund the payment after test

There’s currently no sandbox bridge between Dodo test mode and Affonso.

Also is there a way for us to create the coupon in Dodo directly which will be linked with Affonso affiliates? or do we have to create the linking manually or programmatically?

Yes, as you can see the @grave zenith has responded using the same docs.
The support for testing isn;t completely there.
