This error comes from the issuing bank, not Dodo.
Common causes
- Card doesn’t support online / international / recurring payments
- 3DS not enabled or failed
- Merchant category is blocked by the bank
- Prepaid / virtual cards with restrictions
How to resolve
- Ask the customer to:
- Enable online + international payments in their bank app
- Complete 3DS authentication
- Try a different card (debit/credit, non‑prepaid)
- Make sure you are:
- Using the correct mode (Test vs Live)
- Charging in a supported currency
If it still fails, the customer must contact their bank — merchants cannot override this decline.
