The "+" at the right of a business at the bottom left to add a new business doesn't work, it doesn't pop up a field that someone can input name in.

It says input business name but nothing can be written in that input field, what could be the reason why/issue?

Also, what's the difference between addng a new business and adding a new brand?

If the "+" button to add a new business is not functioning as expected and the input field is not allowing you to enter a name, there could be a few reasons for this issue:

  1. Browser Compatibility: Ensure that you are using a compatible browser and that it is up to date. Sometimes, certain features may not work correctly on older versions of browsers.

  2. JavaScript Errors: Check if there are any JavaScript errors in the console of your browser's developer tools. These errors can prevent certain elements from functioning properly.

  3. Ad Blockers or Extensions: Disable any ad blockers or browser extensions that might interfere with the functionality of the page.

  4. Clear Cache and Cookies: Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies, then reload the page to see if the issue persists.

  5. Contact Support: If none of the above solutions work, it may be helpful to contact Dodo Payments support for assistance. They can provide specific guidance or identify if there is a known issue with the platform.

Regarding the difference between adding a new business and adding a new brand:

  • Adding a New Business: This involves creating a separate legal entity or organization within your account. Each business can have its own settings, transactions, and team members.

  • Adding a New Brand: This typically refers to creating a new public-facing identity under an existing business. A brand can have its own logo, name, and marketing materials, but it operates under the umbrella of the existing business entity.

Hey @misty grove

We have fixed the issue you pointed out. It should go live soon.

Also, what's the difference between addng a new business and adding a new brand?
When you register a new business - You should go through all the business verification process you went through again.
When you register a new brand - Only website/brand verification process is there.

Please take a look at this doc.

# misty grove Okay, thank you.

If it should go live soon it means the update hasn't been pushed to public yet, so what is i want to add a new business now?

As it's not yet live it means I can't and would have to wait.

Friday 4th is US Banking holiday, so can you guys tell me now why on earth you people chose to payout on Friday 4th and making July 1st payout in 4days instead of 3 days as you made June 2nd payout?

Is that fair to your merchants? You people should stop finding her best ways to hold unto your merchants money and make payouts take more time, that is SO SO UNFAIR.

You guys clearly knew ahead that 4th was holiday, you could've done 2nd to 3rd as 3 days like last time. Do you guys derive joy in inconveniencing your merchants and giving alot of people more reasons to move to competitors?

@misty grove - Please check our payout process documentation https://docs.dodopayments.com/features/payouts/payout-structure. It is clearly mentioned that the 4th of every month is the scheduled payout date. While we try to ensure that no delays will be faced, we are a global company and managing geography specific holidays is not feasible. We do not gain anything by holding merchant's money for one extra day, we are just following the processes clearly outlined.
While we encourage feedback from merchants please refrain from emotional outbursts as this does not serve any purpose.

We try to make payouts earlier if feasible but as a process please refer to the scheduled dates for payout initiation.
