I am not a developer, and I am planning to sell digital products/courses as an individual product or subscription-based. I am going to use a WordPress site to host the products. Do you have a WordPress plugin from Dodo Payments? If not, are there any plans to release it anytime soon? If you don't have any plan at all, then do you recommend any other solution that I can use for your gateway and integrate it with WordPress in any other way?

Currently, Dodo Payments does not have a dedicated WordPress plugin for integration. However, you can still use Dodo Payments with your WordPress site by implementing the payment gateway through custom integration using the Dodo Payments API.
Here are some options to consider:
-
Custom Integration: You can create a custom integration using the Dodo Payments API. This will require some development work, but it allows you to tailor the payment process to your specific needs. You can use WordPress hooks and functions to handle the API calls.
-
Use Payment Links: If you prefer a simpler approach, you can generate payment links through the Dodo Payments dashboard for your digital products or courses. You can then link these payment links on your WordPress site, allowing customers to complete their purchases through Dodo Payments.
-
Third-Party Plugins: While there may not be a specific Dodo Payments plugin, you can explore other payment gateway plugins that allow for custom integrations. Some plugins may provide the flexibility to add custom payment gateways, where you can implement Dodo Payments.
-
Feedback for Future Development: If you believe a WordPress plugin would be beneficial, consider providing feedback to Dodo Payments. They may take user demand into account when considering future developments.
If you need further assistance or have specific questions about integrating Dodo Payments with WordPress, feel free to reach out to Dodo Payments support for guidance.
@boreal bluff please help here.
We're still figuring on how to make the wordpress / woo commerce plugins -- it will surely on our roadmap but timeline wise it might take a month or two.
Thank you for considering it. In the meantime is there any way I can implement the gateway solution on the WordPress site? Maybe with webhooks and automation like n8n or make.com? Any documentation available for this?
@grand shoal please help here -- I guess static payment links should do the job.
yeah.
@torpid lion we have static payment links which does not require you to code at all.
Please take a look at the doc to create a payment link.

Once your customer makes the payment you can send/provide access to your digital product. May be do it manually for now. Look at the dashboard in dodo payments and see who made the payment and do the required stuff from your end manually.
Once you reach the stage where manual work is not enough you can automate. But this would require you to handle webhooks as you said.
Dodo Payments Documentation
This section provides an overview of the process to refund a payment for your Dodo Payments account.
do you already have considerable revenue @torpid lion ?
It's a brand new business so I can probably wait for the official plugin from Dodo payments. I don't want to go through the manual route as it might create a bad impression for the customers if the delivery is delayed due to the time difference. I tried to check the documentation but couldn't figure it out on how I can use the webhooks. Maybe if you can create a document on how someone can use the automation platform to implement the webhooks that would be really helpful so that we can integrate payment on any sites. Please consider this also a feature request 😊
we'll see what we can do from our side.
couple of questions:
how are you going to provide access once payment is made? Is it a simple mail containing some attachments?
I am thinking of creating a user account for the customer on my site once the payment is successful and they can access the products. I checked the subscription option but it seems you are charging the customer for the next billing cycle. This might lead into a lot of misuse due to the nature of the product (like subscribe, download the product and cancel the subscription). So I am planning to go for a one-time payment method for now.
so basically
payment -> product download
is the product dynamic? (varies based on customer choice) or is it going to be the same product for all customers?
whats your site? mind sharing it?
This is the flow. I am working on few products. Either customers can buy them separately or they can buy it as a bundle. It's going to be the same product for all customers. I was thinking of using gumroad as it doesn't require a site but today only I found Dodo payments and it seems to be a perfect fit for my requirement. Since you have a website requirement, I am planning to use WordPress. I can spin up a site quickly once the product is ready. But before I create it, I would like the plugin or automation solution so that I can create the site accordingly.
thanks for the info, ill get back to you.
Thank you
