That actually brings up an interesting question about the laser defenses. They are very prevalent on cryo and you can find them on Dire Marsh as well. But they aren't on Outpost at all. Meaning they aren't a ubiquitous uesc thing. The common thread between dire Marsh and cryo is Xeno activity. Maybe they are meant to contain or defend against them
