i genuinely love this game more than any other extraction shooter, because to me its more than that. I can lose my golds and purples, Ill wipe right as im abt to complete a contract. And each time its a lesson. Did you have grenades? Maybe you should have brought some extra medicine, pushing a team that has a strong angle isnt wise, was you position fortified enough to have cover and provide concealment to use consumables? Did you spend to long fighting one team and get third partied? Should you have decided to turn tail and save your loot instead of pushing a gold shield destroyer? so many variables that coalesce into learned knowledge, only making you BETTER should you HEED THE LESSON

Also the way i played marathon starting out was just enjoying shooting shit with my buds. Win or loose i just enjoyed the challenge and treated it like a stealth survival game as i learned the maps and shells. It was fun exploring and shooting uesc as a noob. It felt like a fun pve survival game wixed with some pve tossed in as a noob. But once i got better i treated it more like the pvp based game it is

1 noob adjustment tho id make however is have the depleated patches stack up to 6 or 10 max so noobs dont have to fill there non backpack loadout with nothing put depleated heals just to keep from getting melted by uesc. Cause as players run with free kits they often pick up atleast 6-7 depleated patch and sheild charges due to fights with no sheild implants against UESC often tend to instantly burn ur 3 depleated sheild and patches up instantly. Could be a thing such as the free kit mode where you’d see it on map selection and it could rotate in and out at random once every few days.
