there's no real easy software patch iirc so the next best thing is just to tell the card to ramp up its' fans when reaching the threshold

keeping it to 45-50c is prolly good, just change your fan curve in adrenalin or whatever you use for managing it

was running on high

then set it to down and stopped for a bit

then it started again just now

and i'm not overclocking

back then i was undervolting it but i set it back up to normal

Stability with that stuff isn't static some things degrade over time sometimes after several crashes it can't handle the same settings.

Sometimes it's game dependant or even update dependant

I can't run the same overclock I used to on hunt because of the updates

I like that idea, but for passive 2, it could be like a grenade as opposed to a spreadable virus. Could be something like if you don’t have any debuffs on you, you can’t use your nade, but if you do, you can throw a nade that removes your debuff(s) and puts sludge on the ground that triggers those same affects on enemies that are hit by it
