We should have plenty vault space next week after update. Ammo stacking to 800, meds stacking to 30/50. increased stacks on mats
?
Bungie is rebalancing how many bullets or heals fit in one square of the vault
so instead of 80 light bullets it's 800
Confirmed ?
it's in the #dev-updates channel in this server so yeah
it looks like they're increasing ammo and healing item stack sizes 10x
based on the screenshot the devs posted
do duplicate cores increase the effectiveness of the core or does it do nothing additional?
too much lol
only in vault.
yeah that's what I said
"Bungie is rebalancing how many bullets or heals fit in one square of the vault"
idk how that's too much tho scrap
hoarders gonna hoard, bigger stacks means more runs to hoard stuff :P
honestly thats a good thing since sometimes u are just gonna get put into a shit load of fights against npcs/players
also whatever this raid thing is the devs are planning might be another reason for such large amounts of ammo]
lmao what
oh ok ok sick
Do you mean their effects or in terms of inventory
Bc idk about effects but they donât in inventory
Most shooters dont have hidden reduction (ignoring Destiny). That said, im fairly certain there's damage drop-off
Is it not trigger, bumper, or A? (On Xbox)
Does the sound range increase also apply to bot weapons? or just player weapons
LFT Pinwheel farming need a stack purple/blue kits
whoops sorry didnt look that I was in this channel b4 i hit send
Unsure, I assume all though
what is the range of thief's visor?
yeah i got no idea man
uh for me on ps it was R1 if that helps
at least 1 meter
Is there a place we are documenting the prestige stuff, both so I can look at them and send in this if they need it
I cant send images here...
Is it bad that Iâd like to be able to put PR scopes on ARs?
is there any reason to go above 100 in any stat
or does it just fall flat at 100 and nothing after
I always run one more stack of shields than health packs because shield breaks way more often than health's lost
What effect does EMP have on players?
I believe it disables use of your abilities?
Hmm that would be pretty good, I wonder if Triage's shock pads also do any damage, I haven't had much interaction with him in solos so his utility is pretty unknown to me, wondering how viable he is as a solo shell
Idk if they are melee range only though then it's too risky probably anyway, need to mess with using him
I had an EMP happen yesterday on Dire Marsh just as I was jumping off a huge drop to grapple in toward someone as Thief.
Fast-forward to me taking a big chunk of damage because my grapple was disabled and dying.
And yes, Triage's pads do damage.
Oh, wait. Not sure if they do actual damage or whether they just EMP.
He's definitely better in squads. A lot of his power is in the revive and the shared consumables between med-drone linked teammates.
For sure, I just don't play squads at all but I've played every shell but Triage heh
I have a chip mod called Insomniac. What does it mean by "eliminating hostiles with this weapon extends its duration by a moderate amount"? I've noticed that's stated on other mods as well.
Are you sure it's not saying it extends the duration of consumables? There are chips that do that.
Insomniac extends Energy Amp, right?
That's the consumable that boosts your ability cooldowns. So killing enemies extends how long the buffed cooldowns last for.
Oh, it varies. So yeah, it's just whatever consumable it says it boosts.
when an item applies an effect to "allies", does that include myself?
or is it literally just to allies
i am fairly certain it does
actually, might be wrong on that, ik when it says crew members its self inclusive because thats the wording on triages drones, but not sure for allies specifically sorry
both
100% does damage, I've downed people with Triage Prime ability
I have to mess with this, sounds fun
I think it makes sense for an EMP to damage you given that runners are kind of a robot
EMP grenades are esp nasty because they explode multiple times in a row.
are people finally talking builds and synergies
currently the meta is thief + recon + triage
I will say, Triage, recon, destroyer is kind of nice
that also works
Duplicate cores do not stack
UNLESS
They have an exfil bonus.
It should. You are your own ally, after all
thanks. this is useful information
triage is fake comms
drones barely do anything in a fight
you get way more value with a destroyer guys literally thanos
thanos the shell
Do destroyer shells actually take less damage?
Iâve seen people recommend them and just say âTank Statsâ but is that truly a thing?
The "Spread angle" when modding shotguns. I see that stat on "From the hip" mods. Does that spread angle decrease only work for hip fire or both ads and hip?
Triageâs Ability to swap stamina for weapon boost comes in handy
that makes total sense
the core that makes his healing from drone faster is really good i think
at least from personal experience
gold or purple
purple
will have to see that then if it could help you an extra burst from a br when you're getting lasered
has anyone done testing on all of the gear stats yet?
like how much you get out of each point etc.
is there any stat to increase your trait 1 and 2 cooldown?
Energy amp
thank you!
Is it true that volt weapons deal more damage to UESC?
The purple chip mod that refills a significant amount of ammunition after an elimination, does it trigger when yoy down a runner? or do you have to thirst their body for the effect?
I've got a 1x1 "Premium rewards pass voucher" in my vault, ive already redeemed the premium pass so do i just sell this? it sells for 0 credits but its taking up 1x1 vault space
Fine to sell
or keep as a funny bug souvenir
full thirst needed
Ty, yeah I might actually lol
I need more of that core (or mod?) that provides you invisibility on precision elimination, helps so much in fighting multiple UESC
What decides a 'precision' elimination?
AH
Just learned a lesson, if the timer hits 0, even if you're in an extract that is counting down...but will finish after 0...you die.
I think my extract said 3 seconds when timer hit 0...poof.

What level do gold and purple items get more common? I'm level 31, and haven't had much time to play last week. I'm worried that I won't be prepared enough for cryo when it drops
your level does not change how common certain drops are
Key cards, pushing harder areas (Outpost), getting lucky
So uhm I lit just got the game is this like tarkov or?
yeah pretty much
if you hear someone refer to Cryo, thats basically labs
Ah ok nice is there like a newbie chat here that I can talk in so I can see if someoneâs willing to just show me some stuff
not that I know of, but most of the time looking in #đŁmarathon-general-chat you'll usually find someone open to show you the ropes
my only warning to you, the AI in this game hits a helluva lot harder than the AI in tarkov lol
Thanks much appreciated
Which shells should a beginner maybe avoid playing for the first few hours? I want to pick a few easy ones to practice on before I mess with the higher skill-ceiling shells
while they wont do that here, they will scare the shit out of you sometimes lol
generally I am a fan of Destroyer or assassin for new players, Triage can be good if you get into teams
Iâve died in tarkov to so much stuff like that lol but yeah thatâs good seems a little more chill than tarkov is this only PvP or is it like
nah its PVPVE
Ok got u so u have to do both u canât just strictly do pve?
no, both all the time
Ah got u much appreciated wonât waste any more of ur time
yea some skills scale of stats.
likes self repair speed affects triage med drone
do they scale off of individual self-repair stats or just triage's?
just triage. if the triage has nearly maxed self repair it heals everytime at crazy speed
downside battery drains faster as well but only a bit faster
I dont get it, sometimes bully is great, other times I can hit green shield person with half the mag and they still not down, I dont get it.
And Im talking like 13 direct hits. =/
damage fall off is wild
weapons have an effective range
Yeah but it was maybe 22m...I dunno, shoulda been effective.
18m is effective, meh.
But I had mods on so maybe it was 22ish....I guess I was just out of range.
You'd also be surprised how often you run into people who aren't full health
There are also probably slight differences between the two kinds of green shields
Lots of variables
Yeah I know 1 is easier to heal...the reinforced one, I think even though it's a long bar, just 1 recharger gets it full eventually.
My guess would be the range though, the bully can't reach out too far
That's why I really like the lookout
But generally speaking, the effective range on most smgs is soo meh.
Which they should be
That uh Copperhead thing, like its range is similiar to a shotgun almost...but I swear the shotgun gonna win out everytime.
Copperhead could definitely use a buff I think, I haven't seen anyone using it
It was really strong in the alphas I think so it might've been overtuned
it'
is so fucking bad
ps, can thief see assassin through smooke?
and invis?
nvm i read the ability description
Everyone can see through smoke
yes to both.
only if they're in line of sight though
so if you dive behind cover assassin can hide again
thanks
the sky is blue
real. i opened discord to say the same
i feel like rpm should be doubled for it to be at least fun to use
pocket bullet hose
so whats the consensus on implants? are there even builds for each individual shell or is it a "put these on no matter what" kinda deal?
Cores offer stronger shell-specific benefits. Implants are more broadly beneficial, but some still offer role specific benefits. For the Thief shell, the Nimble Fingers V2 implant gives you +25 loot speed. That pretty nice.
oh yea yea i meant more like specific implans over others, if theres 'optimal' builds for each shell
thank u tho
Which shell do you like to play?
anyone have any advice on using Thief's third ability? I kinda struggle to know when to use it besides maybe just spamming it
her visor?
I focus on using when entering PoIs and then when I'm leaving, helps finding loot and on exit you can see any assassins on the way in.
thief
Try these implants: Nimble Fingers, Graceful Landings, Energy Harvesting.
thanks <3
Does anyone tested/know if you get benefits in stats past 100?
has anyone tried the bully superior mod and if so do you like it
somethingsomething its a mag and the longer you shoot it the higher the fire rate is
basically just turns it into hucklebearer from D2
so solid
Yep
does impact h ar have a prestige?
is there a barter for the outlander sniper or is it only available from crates/schemas?
How often does stock refresh for say grenades from Mida?
Is it 24hr reset, or more often than that?
Pretty sure itâs 24h
insurrection + bulldog = ez uesc elims
For anyone interested in seeing any items in game and what they can do hereâs a super helpful site
It has cores, mods, implants, weapons. Literally everything
Ohhhh thatâs very helpful
yh
overheat bullets or somethin
Traxus can have it in the armory, shame I canât barter for it yet
what a good all around kit thatâs good for uesc and pvp
my guess would be like a 33volley and shotgun but curious to know what others think
i like to bring in one volt weapon, like the volt thrower or punch. that makes clearing pve w shields MUCH faster
prime or tactical recovery for vandal?
WSTR or longshot for the second weapon
Vandal prime comes back super fast and tbh isn't the most impactul part of her kit especially when you have heat and agi upgrades. Having her tac just one more time per fight is absolutely insane
Anyone got any hard data on Thief's 'The Finer Things'? such as if it is per backpack slot occupied or per individual item in each slot, and how much of a bonus it gives?
I donât but I assume itâs slots bc you could have like a billion light rounds and thatâd be broken
i agree
You can also grab thousands of credits in a round which is why I asked lmao
Does anyone know how the lmg shield mods work like how ik the shield is weak and how to recharge it
think it just deploys when you aim. covers your upper torso
when you aim your gun on right side you can see a yellow bar, thats the shields durability
has anyone ran a sniper into outpost? how did it go
@tough current @clear fossil Gugu Gaga𤥠đ

If a weaponâs rarity is Deluxe or greater, does it objectively make it better than a Standard or Enhanced weapon? Or is weapon rarity all subjective? The rarity stems from the mods equipped to a weapon. But. Just because one of the mods are, letâs say, Superior or Prestige doesnât mean it suits a certain shell and a Runnerâs playstyle.
The value of salvage and other items that are sold for credits upon exfil would objectively be better or worse than others because of the value it holds though.
found this really sick build where if u press 3 then left click enemy runners multiple times it generates big profit loot
Is this patched
Does the Heat Sink mod applies to oneâs stats for the duration of a run or is it short-lived?
Whatâs that one again, removing accumulated heat upon killing?
I think itâs a per kill basis if thatâs the one you mean
Standard Chip Mod
HEAT SINK
Dealing sustained damage with this weapon reduces your generated heat by a small amount.
Thatâs its description.
It just removes the heat one already accumulated?
If so, noted.
So far my best buildcraft is an Enduring Retaliator lmg with 2 purple mods - turbo belt/swarn directive. 2 blue mods - Control shield/Accu-sight lens. I need a yellow and 2 more purples if i want a yellow weapon xD
im a filthy casual, so i find this enjoyable lol
I'm not trynna be rude asking this, but what else would it mean?
No offense taken. I was reading too much into it. I see now that it only affects heat that one generates. Not the Heat Capacity stat for the duration of a run.
combine it with the mod that increases dmg when overheated for maximum anti synergy
theoretically you'd use it to slide into people at max heat, mag dump into them with a bully or other hipfire-focused weapon, then rush off somewhere else because your heat is gone
Do you need space in your backpack for Materialist to work? Or does it increase the count of existing salvage in your backpack?
No, Materialist applies its buff after you extract
If the item is stackable it will apply the bonus if it lands on the percent chance of working
Ah gotcha, so would the additional salvage be shown on the final exfil summary screen? Like, I would need to pay attention to the total counts for the salvage I'm exfilling with to see what was added from Materialist?
Yes and no, it will show as âitem transmutedâ on the gear with Materialist when it triggers but it wont show you which salvage got multiplied(unless I remember wrongly).
Anyone use the Overrun AR? Just seems like this thing is dook-dook.
use it like you would an smg and fire short bursts at a distance
It can be good (like any weapon with enough mods) but I find it takes too much ammo to achieve the same results as other more efficient guns at a better price point
If I'm loaded up with one gun only and come across one I might take it as a short term backup, but if I want to run a cheap, affordable primary I'd stick to a V11
There's only a couple of guns I'd completely write off but Overrun is only decent if you've got extended mags in it and can control its kick
I was an overrun hater but my boy melts with his blue one lol
As a day 1 Overrun AR Glazer, i will say a no mod grey Overrun isnt the best. You need to mod it and get used to how it works to play well with it
Anyone tried the BRRT SMG? Picked it up a purple one off the warden in perimeter and haven't used it yet.
Yeah like most smg's very strong up close but it eats bullets for PvE, I'd only bring it in for big PvP maps/POI's
brrt is great ime
I think itâs fine
its no battle rifle but its good
yeah bully is nutso good
Has anyone seen any prestige cores for Triage? The only one I've seen is the one that reduces your med drone cooldown when you use shareware.exe but that's it. Seems kind of underwhelming compared to the other shells prestige cores
Yea I have one that increases the duration of shared consumables
But tbh for a prestige core it's not that good considering there's a purple that literally doubles your healing effectiveness and speed
i only got that too
the more i play, i realize triage is just not good
everyone runs double selfrevive and purple meds
assasin, triage is good early on but once people are geared up value drops by 80%
I think triage is really good as in his power floor is relatively high, but it doesn't seem like he scales that hard. Having those as his prestige cores is kinda lame compared to the cores that destroyer has or vandal has
I think he's really worth having just for the shareware and his ult that can rez a full dead team mate instantly
Yea and the drones constantly giving you a free heal is hard to pass up on too
yeah definitely
Don't have to worry about shielding as much when fighting UESC
I think if he had a prestige core that made his ult charge instantly would be awesome. or something that made it more effective when used offensively
or if his overcharge mechanic would cause chain lighting when using volt weapons. something really unique and strong like the other shells' prestige cores
yea
Ok that'd be wild seeing some cloudstorm shit đ but I get what ur saying
He definitely lacks the oomf that the other 5 have with their prestige cores
remind me heavier weapons make your footsteps louder no>? cause i swear that i am louder when i move with an lmg on
If anything youâre probably slower, but itâd make sense if your footsteps were louder as well
I love it, would love to find the prestige attachment for it - it melts
quick q, really basic shit: Are knife kills on standard UESC bots quieter than popping them with a gun?
You also save ammo
Well yeah, saving ammo is a good and obvious point in its favor, too! lol
Appreciate you!
is the copperhead viable against other smgs ?
Hey anyone know how to complete the mastery challenge for triage where he has to âemp battery overchargeâ a commander or smth like that
Any recommended routes/builds for factions? Ive generally been leveling them all up until i can get my first and/or initial upgrades, like heat capacity, melee dmg, agility etc.
depends on what you want to prioritize
a lot of people focus on nucal to get shields and meds
The 3 shields and 3 meds a day is pretty nice
bully better at range, copperhead is scarier in closer quarters in my experience
Most just use bully because it is a hell of a lot cheaper
(and the bully is a very good weapon for every situation anyways)
The bully is best weapon in the game imo
Yeah it really just kinda does everything
Cheap, super versatile, and very deadly
Need range? stick a scope on it
Damage? big mag
bein all sneeki beeki like? suppressor
Honestly itâs only downsize is the 23 round clip
I hope it doesnât get nerfed honestly
Buffing weaker weapons and leaving good ones alone is the better move imo
Oh without a doubt lmao
I feel like once you've been looting for a while, even the green extended mags really boost the bully a ton
Did you try using your battery overcharge with a volt weapon on a commander
How do I know itâs a commander
Itâs purple
Theyâll have white body parts and usually purple shields
Ohh alright any volt weapon?
And I think the emp hits when you shield break but idk, and yeah any volt weapon
Alr bet thanks
Bully + sniper or Volley rifle + wstr are my combos
1000000% goated combo
Would the destroyer mastery quest âdefeat a runner that is hiding in smoke with search and destroyâ count if I just finished of a downed guy inside the smoke
Do we know what the game means by Hacking a Priority hostile? trying to do my Thief Masteries, is it just bosses or Elites?
Yeah you just gotta look at a boss should be a red icon on the map with your visor turned on and it should hack him
thanks!
You'll see a "loading bar" when staring at the target, that'll need to complete for the hacking effect to occur
Defeat happens when the Runner gets knocked into DBNO, Elimination happens when they get full-killed
Yeah I had to sneak up on a guy inside hauler with a smoke grenade and a shotty, poor guy saw everything go white and got mercd down
for a bully smg do we prefer the weighted barrel or precision barrel? if you had to choose between those two
I think stats cap at 100, so anything past that appears to be wasted. 100 damage would be enough to one shot if their basic white shield is already broken but if not they will survive the hit.
light or heavy attack?
Stats do not cap at 100
But I do believe there's diminishing returns after 100
I have a purple implant that gives +50 loot speed, which is more than enough to break 100 after 2 lootspeed levels
Does triage's battery overcharge ability increase weapon damage? Seeing conflicting info on this
silencer
Whatâs the buildcrafting chatâs opinion on railguns?
Fun to shoot, but why ever take one when sniper exists, Sells for 3k
was thiefâs grapple cancel movement tech patched out?
Hi all, I'm trying to better understand the LMG shield mods and how they work. Is it 100% damage mitigation? Also, does the battery re-charge in match once depleted or just once per run full battery?
Kinda what Iâve been seeing and thinking
repeater/magnum build
patrolling dire marsh almost makes you wish for a nuclear winter
Afaik yes to both
But it's a relatively small shield and only goes up while ADSing
And I think it only recharges after being depleted
wish they would give it a collateral effect if you hit a fully charged shot, can go through multipul targets maybe lol
Thanks, I'll continue testing. I've noticed it's relatively small, but if you crouch while ADS it seems to have near total coverage. @twin estuary
That's my experience, and LMG has a strong crouch accuracy bonus
That would be a pretty good change tbh I donât see why not
Which grenade do you think is the best and why? Let's make a tierlist đ
Claymore, because everyone pushes.
love how I called the WSTR nerf yesterday lol
Flechette grenade can be nasty because of how it tracks, the healing is a neat side benefit but not the main draw imo
Claymore is undefeated though
I also don't mind DOT grenades like flame or chem since getting hit with a recurring damage effect freaks people out
Thereâs healing from the flechette?
Yeah the spikes do minor healing on the thrower when they hit an enemy
At least per item description
Oh thatâs sick I had no idea
I may be mistaken but I believe the flechettes return to you after they do damage, and that's how you heal
Coulda swore they healed when they do damage?
Tbh if I'm in a situation where grenades are necessary I'm usually not paying enough attention to those little details
Flechettes are like claymores that home in
You can use them to block off paths or force bad pushes
Do we Know how much dmg absorbtion the Light machine gun sheilds tank or reduce?
Anyone got a go-to armory loadout for triage? Vault space is tight so i'd like to save space by just buying as much as possible from the armory when I go on an inevitable losing streak
Is there a faction guide? Basically to decide the priority for choosing one. Ive leveled them up a little bit evenly but dont know what I should be doing tbh.
Personally i prioritize traxus after knowing completing their main quest give option to buy gold weapon mods everyday. Right now i am focusing on nucaloric so i can buy purple shields.
Other faction upgrades donât seem to be that impactful to me maybe besides sekiguchi for gold implants
V11 cost only 50 credits iirc. I usually buy that whenever i play triage. Other volt weapons donât seem that good
Twin tap gold effect mod doesnât seem that good besides the stat it gives and maybe becoming 4 burst shot
Im excited about shell crafting
what
@patent onyxshell crafting??
wtf did they nerf the runner boots? last week it reduced cooldowns while sprinting. Now its just explosive resist
The cradle system in season 2. Being able to min/max shells is gonna be cool
The cradle system in season 2. Being able to min/max shells is gonna be cool
oh
Can anyone link me to an explanation of how Triageâs shareware actually works?
Main things I want to know:
-
Does me using Medkits and shield charges actually benefit my teammates if they have a drone on them?
-
Whatâs the âpenaltyâ on the duration of buffs etc I spread via shareware? Eg if I pop a signal jammer that usually lasts 2 mins on myself, how long does it last on teammates my drones share it with?
I like the v11 punch because itâs cheap and pretty good in the effective range triage wants to play in.
For the other, at the moment I run either the v66 lookout (for longer ranges) or the scar (for middle range). But tbh Iâm not sure this is optimal even with triageâs volt ability, a better option might be the br33
its non meds, so only for things like cardio kick, signal jammer etc
for duration its 40% I'm pretty sure, though there are cores that increase this iirc
also, I could be wrong but I'm fairly certain that it doesn't even have to be your drone, they just have to have a drone, unless this got fixed
are there any useful links in here for damage numbers and stats?
Ok thank you - Iâve seen so many mixed messages on this!
for healing theres a purple core that significantly improves the heal rate of the drone, but thats it
there are other cores too, but thats the only drone - healing one im aware of
hey i had a question about chip mods. if you have a chip mod like keyboard warrior that doesnt specifically say for this weapon does it apply to whatever my secondary weapon is as well for the duration?
i would imagine so? but then again, some of the wording is horrifically inconsistent
one of those things you may just need to test
Yo, I got a gold triage core called the Samaritan, should I sell or keep.
It basically makes getting the med drones out quicker but like-
That's a good 3K I could use for a shotgun ngl
do a few rook runs if you need money i say
selling for 3k should be illegal
3k is pennies
less than a purple treasure
Fr, I'm just asking cause like, that's inventory space BEGGING to be free'd
Send a picture in #đ˝ď¸run-clips
works off your self-repair speed as well i believe
best lmg for outpost? lmk asap tryna get critical against rooks
I think shields transfer too, at least a bit
Idk I prefer an smg bc of how close quarters everything is
im asking from a primary context, iâll always run a wstr or bully as a secondary
Oh I use an smg as my primary all the time, but in terms of lmgs idk I just think theyâre not super suited for the PvP part
Iâd probably go with either of the ones that arenât the ramp up fire rate one
I canât remember the names
dont blame ya lol i just go off looks
ive had some nice encounters in the pinwheel with my lmg and its nice having the magazines size especially with rooks running around
Mag size is a good point
lmg combined with a bully drum mag is such a crisp combo
Is there a guide for what sort of builds to bring into what area? Like I assume Outpost is harder than Perimeter right? So bringing a free kit to outpost would just be harder?
Bring in whatever you feel comfortable with bringing in
Guess with Outpost, a shotgun is probably quite beneficial
Maybe the Copperhead SMG as well
A good trio in a free kit can still outplay a trio that's kitted, synergy in your kit is more important than the build itself
80% of fills are free kits
Why not? Sorry I'm kind of new to extraction shooters, level 21 right now
It's not ideal for the other players who have crew filled with gear as well as being big disadvantage for yourself
I assumed the level of your gear was taken into account during match making
No, it's level based matchmaking iirc
Ah damn
My fault then, need to start making credits to buy consistent loadouts. Not sure how
Is there any really effective uesc shield break technique? Like triage emp? Or recon spider grenade? Tryna solo the warden on dire marsh
Free kit as a solo and being sneaky works aight
If you can get a lockbox key or two, good to loot the lockbox rooms for some decent value gear
You can rush the airdrop on Perimeter, if you're lucky you can get a key for a locked room
May not be a locked room on the map you're currently in, however
I've seen people mention if you shoot at the hand holding the shield (the little square hole) it takes half as many shots and stuns the mech
Dire Marsh Warden doesn't have the deployable shield, it has a gold shield
You can use an EMP to stun them and dump a lot of damage into it whilst stunned
Ok cool
Ah my mistake sorry
I don't even dare attempt it myself
Mostly because I only go in with a V11 Punch usually
I always trio fill in a free kit because I cant trust the people filling in to do what I am doing
Then if I find a couple guys I enjoy playing w, we use kits from there
I canât actually contain my excitement
For the new map
Just took a good kit into a trio fill and everyone else had a free kit and we died lmao
5k, curious if its real cost or current cost
I am sure people will find the most budget kit to go
We know a green kit is 4k from the prebuild kits
A WSTR and M77 with no mods is nearly 4k on their own so you can definitely run Cryo on a budget
You should be able to select an option in queue if you want to matchmake with people using free kits
Or if you use a free kit, get placed with others using one
The free shotgun by itself with meds works
the free kit warriors
Ig people will run with Grey db and pistol XD
Then you get railed by the guy with the maxxed railgun and bully
Yeah I'm not encouraging it lol just pointing out that 5k isn't as big as people think
Ngl the guns i like are the cheap ones so I regularly struggle to break 3k lol
Making 5k isn't too bad for Cryo runs, especially if you're just picking up valuables from other maps and dumping barter items
The main reason people have a hard time keeping credits is because they dump every valuable in the game for more white barter items
Which kills your credit gain per game
Focus only on the barter items you need for a specific faction you're upgrading and toss the rest; You'll find yourself with a lot more cash by extracting out white valuable stacks
Give me all your unstable biomass you don't need it pls I'm starving over here I just want the nucaloric upgrades for no reason at all don't worry about it
It's funny because NuCal stops taking biomass after most of the first upgrades
I know and it honks đ
I use biomass and diodes for free meds
We are not the same
Yeah, we're not, because I have 80 health kits and shield charges just laying around lmao
diodes and biomass stack better lol
you have way too many stacks taking up stash space
Jokes on you, I have that many shield and medkits alongside way too much diodes and biomass. I just don't run out of meds to need to use the biomass and diodes I have
ok john marathon
lowkey i sold all my excess medkits that cyac and nucal keep giving me
Lowkey where were you when I needed a kit and my team went off to chase squirrels? @twin estuary
im about to delete this stupid fucking game why tf is there still death bugs on exfill just got all purple from pin whele and died after succesfully exfilling fuck this fucking game
just lost my loadout to a still waiting error after exfil too lol
I didnt even know this was a thing
Probably shooting your team with my buddy, queueing duo into trios đ
im about to delete this stupid fucking game why tf is there still death bugs on exfill just got all purple from pin whele and died after succesfully exfilling fuck this fucking game
Oh so youre just a copypasta dork
Literally 10 messages in this discord and 9 of them are this
Block and move along, folks, just block and move along.
Who cares
So easy to get loot again lol
It's called ⨠attention seeking â¨
I cant go indepth with build as im very poor, but can someone make an infinite hatred destroyer build?
Is the gold mod for curcuit breaker good? I have it in my shop rifht now and j have the schema
Hey I have a question, when is it considered acceptable to exfil without your team of randoms?
depends do they seem to have room temp iq? yes
is your kit worth a lot of money and theyre running free? yes
roomtemp IQ being Celsius
i mean its a weird feeling when you have a free kit and then find lots of good shit, then die. its like, did i lose anything?
what do you mean there's a build crafting chat and you can't post images
What do you guys normally put on the 2 pump shotty? I've just been going for range, but curious if other stats are better, like aim assist or recoil
do pistols need a buff or am I tripping?
i quite like the light ammo one
Anybody know if of triage's battery overcharge increases weapon damage?
The magnum is really good honestly. I really like the Light ammo one too slap a suppressor on it and it really handles UESC
Yo, is the H-AR worth?
I can trade a set of 3 reflex coils for one but I've never used one before
Itâs good
Bet
I like it. The only downside is the slow ADS time, but if you put a mod on it that decreases it then itâs nice
Beeeet, just got it. Shit was purple modded out so I'm defo gonna bring it into a big raid tomorrow once I get a chance
I like it. Decent mag size. Hard to compete with a good bully though
v11 punch with triages overcharge is lowkey busted
Hello Bungie can we get a marathon app like destiny, where we can buildcraft and make pre made builds ?
Yep Iâll release it tomorrow
i think i love you
Love you too
NuCaloric blue kits are kind of expensive unfortunately. 25 Neurochem packs or Tarax seeds
I really don't get Bungies balancing in this game. The Brrt is an expensive and meh SMG whereas the Bully is super cheap and a million times better. It's so strange to me, almost like they made a mistake in the damage numbers.
Does the Brrt get better than the Bully with certain attachments or something?
Same with the Copperhead SMG, much more expensive, total trash. I don't get it.
brrt is best ttk in game of smgs...
It doesn't feel like it though. The Bully drops players much more consistently in my experience. The Brrt on the other sounds amazing when you fire it but in nearly all cases enemy players are surviving longer. It doesn't make sense
yeah I mean, bully has a slower ttk than brrt and v22... regardless of how you "feel"
possibly a handling or accuracy/recoil thing? If you're used to the Bully's handling and land more of your bullets than you do with the BRRT, that could explain it
If you factor in the burst delay though i think it might actually be the worst smg ttk wise.
Ttk spreadsheet from this video:
https://youtu.be/P-gS2dxETgo?si=Ie22QknqnrLQHhyo
I'm not sure if the burst delay adjustment here is correct though, but it still does a lot to the ttk
yeah i mean just control it đ
he said he hasnt really done th calc there
v22 is slowly becoming my favorite tho - thing absolutley slaps
why is the circuit breaker so terrible in this sheet? is it using the charge time or is it just that bad?
Idk haven't used the circuit breaker so not sure how it works
i dont have a clueless emoji yet so im using 7 as a placeholder
I think his adjusted rpm is lower but haven't done any testing myself. I think brrt might be around 720-750 rpm which was a common rpm for smgs in destiny
The sheet doesn't capture everything, i think he or others mentioned the strength of some of the weapons is in the shot to kill rather than ttk
Like the repeater for ex
Yeah idk what kind of buff would help them rn theyâre just shitty snipers
Making them punch through walls idk, i would use more weapons if i had a firing range to test them in
PLEASE BUNGIE ADD A FIRING RANGE
good god that would make me a recon main
Firing range đ
no the walls thing
The railgun has a purpose that just isn't in the game yet. If it follows the original game, then when they release the S'pht, railguns will be used specifically to crack their advanced shields and armor
It does feel good imo
I think the V22 feels so good because it does the same damage regardless of where you hit someone. It doesn't have a headshot mult
yeah its also good with the auto tracking you can kind of like strafe without worrying about hitting headshots
well that makes it less frustrating
Anyone ever use a thermal with the bully? Does it feel good or is it a bad fit?
It's because Heavy Rounds innately have a larger hit register to a target (so larger bullets) and then, adding weapon mods on it, increases the Aim Assist that just make the hit register even larger.
Setup a Bully with all AA mods and aim it at the collarbone of a enemy and you'll get headshot registers.
I keep opening up pinwheel and then dying to a squad thats already in there, even after I got the announcement that I'm the first one to open it? Can anyone explain?
I donât think every access point sends a notification
yep there's one type of entry that gets you in without an alarm
needs a one of a kind key
The one that spawns randomly and you only have a short window to get in I assume
conveyance request i think it's called
Yeah
I think the destroyed wing access also didnât send a notification
I feel like they should bring it back but force players to fight a wave or two to get in as well, that would balance it decently
Its happened like 3 times isnt that rare?
No, itâs a well known way of getting in
If I was in a trio or solo running for pinwheel I would go for the easiest access every time
ah okay ty, how do you find it?
Itâs a key that spawns randomly in flight control, processing, or dorms
I think it only have a few spawn locations
may not have an alarm but it do be loud as hell
Anyone have stats on suppressors? Like what's the range reduction to the gunshot audio. Do all rarities of suppressors share the same suppression stat?
Sitting duck too đŚ
Do Volt Cell weapons like the Zeus Railgun and the Volt shotgun deal extra damage against the UESC? And do they get buffed with Triageâs ability?
What are some actually good chip mods
Anyone willing to share their vandal builds?
the one that overfills your magazine when you reload from empty goes crazy on the WSTR
since you're going to be emptying that one a lot, and it basically gives you an extra 50% capacity on the double barrel, which is a big deal
so 3 shots instead of 2?
yessir
I got a purple chip that makes me invisible when reloading from empty. Crazy on the shotgun as well
question for y'all. how does Background process weapon mod work with volt weapons? does it load a new battery from your stock? or does it recharge it?
you simply generate the electricity with your footsteps, this is why the game canonically takes place in japan
Do we know for sure what stats have a hard cap?
It just recharges (for free but slowly)
Combine with a weapon backpack for more value
noted! ty!
Insurrection and Torch Bug are good PvE mods I use often
I love the mini-jammers
The one that gives an accuracy boost to the first few shots goes really hard on LMGs,SMGs, and a lot of single shot guns
The one that returns ammo to the magazine on headshot kills
Not sure but I donât think so. But thereâs a mod that does more damage to UESC, I always put it on a V11 Punch and if you land headshots you can take down even purple shielded bots in no time. Even better if youâre using Triage and use his overcharge ability to EMP them.
Anyone know solid pve and pvp kits together? Heard the lmg is slept on but idk
I kind of like the LMG. Not saying it is the best but it does feel pretty good and has lots of ammo.
ttk seems so ridiculous.. dont even have time to react when i get shot ffrom behind
What are the ways to get hacked in this game?
I was in a building with no one else inside it 1 minute into the round and somehow I kept getting hacked seemingly at random. Building had only one entrance and it was clear. Then I was getting hacked again a few minutes later as I was pushing a kitted assassin, they 100% did not have a line-of-sight on me but I was in very close proximity.
The only one I can think of is Thief's ability, but I'm thinking maybe the assasin had a core or something?
So far for me the only issue with ttk is getting knifed, which is mostly a skill issue since I can't react quick enough to pull out a knife and make some distance
i feel like ive weapon seen chip mods where precision elims hack nearby enemies
Interesting, I was pretty far from the nearest objective with UESCs so probably not that unless it has enormous range
Hello! What is build crafting? Also does it have to do with shells? Cause I am struggling like crazy with recon. How do I use the drone well? It does not seem to do what I want it to ever
Suh im new to buildcrafting wassup
Build crafting is basically just theorycrafting to create synergies
Recon's drone is really buggy
Whatâs the name of it
I believe it is called Opportunist
Nvm I googled it and its apparently called "see ya"
has anyone used early warning system on recon
what's the point of the charge rifles
The railguns are a little weaker than the snipers in terms of pvp and pve right now but people theorize their niche is killing stronger alien enemies like the compilers
for the Bully, is the weighted barrel or precision barrel better
can i use the 10k credit sponsored kits to load into cryo?
anyone know what guns dominate cryo
or would it still be bully smg - wstr loadout
Personal preference really. The aim assist helps with headshot securing if you can track but arent precise
ads precision helps more if youre good at precision
I've been rolling WSTR and BR33
If i have "100 melee damage", thats for each light or heavy attack?
That increases all of your melee damage
Knives do more melee damage than quick melee
when I track a weapon mod, does the game highlight the mods disregarding the rarity, or only the rarity of the one I tracked? I'm specifically looking for thermal sights but there's different rarities
I want to build something for knife but i don't really get how the knife damage works
How much base damage has quick attack, light melee and heavy melee, for example? Can i check it somewhere?
does anyone know if stolen intel perk on an implant also pings runners? it says defeating a nearby commander pings nearby hostiles but idk if that just means bots
Yes
No clue đ¤ˇââď¸
Is there any point in using triages battery over charger when you donât have volt weapons?
Just jumped on and 1st timer...I wanna love Recon and I main her despite self reporting myself every time I use the ult đ˘
I know the game just launched but any chance of a slight tweak
it buffs all damage from firearms so yes
you just get the emp from volt weapons
use a scar or v11
What do the different shapes of chip mods denote
I think it correlates to the trigger, but I would have to compare effects to see. But ie ornithologist and signal jammer both have the same shape I think, and both are activated from ads
is the circuit breaker shotgun good for pvp without the gold mod?
Lol no, you should totally give it to me so you don't have to deal w that garbage clogging ur inventiry
But no it's good, just gotta play kinda smart with it if you don't have mods that affect charge time/ power
It doesn't auto fire at full charge so it's definitely playable if you time it right, you just have to anticipate that a nearby enemy could recognize the charging sound
alright, thank you
i would give you one fr, but sadly it'd just be borrowed
what about the CE tactical sidearm? i have the gold mod for that
but my friend says its bad for anything above green shield
đ
Nah it's goated
I see different types of triggers (cloudborn/five finger discount) on mods with the same appearance. I still can't figure out what the shapes mean!
got a 240melee dmg
can confirm 240 melee dmg makes no difference to 100 melee damage
still cant 1 tap a white shield
a full gold kit melee build? Not allowed to 1 tap a white kit
A common double barrel? can 2 tap a purple at close range : (
With knife or quick melee
knife bro....
Just asking bruv
it was always take a minimum of 2 hits to kill a player with melee though
Are you light melee-ing or heavy
heavy silly goose
Wait no I know why yeah because melee doesnt pierce past shields
Derp
(Im the derp)
Melee damage doesnt overflow after shields, is what I was told
your hit will do health dmg
it goes past shield, but yes theres a system in place to always keepy enemy at atleast some health
basically making assassins gold core useless though
atleast the melee one
why build craft when everyone just runs assassin with the double barrel? whats the point of gear if the only thing anyone uses is 1 gun no build behind it
i dont run assassin with the double barrel
discussion over
it was always going to come to this, the community will find the easiest and cheapest way to get loot from the environment and other players
if you're dying to assassins with shotguns all the time, maybe it's not the problem of the other player...
I think the fun part of PvP is finding a meta and then thinking of ways to stomp em like bugs
anyone using ornithologist?
I like to use it on cheap kits but I dont know how distracting it actually is
Iâve had good success against the combat shotgun by recognizing it as early as possible and controlling the tempo of their aggression with area denial grenades. This worked out really well in Cryo Archives yesterday; enemy crew spotted, one of us noticed the double barrel, I used toxic grenades immediately to control their ability to react. They couldnât get close, they canât shotgun you.
This right here
People whine ab the wstr so much but if you recognize it asap itâs easy to counter
Itâs a genuine skill issue
Information is pinnacle. Everything else is a reaction based on information. Itâs cliche as fuck but âknow thy enemyâ and such but it really makes the difference.
If you run outpost and cryo a lot just assume everyone has it lol
Honestly I was surprised for my first Cryo runs to see a few Longshots too lol did not expect that but it makes sense.
Same Iâve been bringing some w thermals
Thatâs smart. Iâve been stockpiling all the grenades I can; the tox grenades and EMP grenades are insanely useful on Cryo
You REALLY have to use utility like crazy on cryo, controlling the fight is so important with how cramped it can get
Itâs so damn good. Itâs been a blast exploring the nuance of Cryo
Iâm currently working on building a dedicated PvE weapon as my secondary for Cryo. There is a great weapon mod that adds significant damage to UESC forces; I like to pair that with EMP grenades and the mods pertaining to damaging EMPâd enemies. M
how do i unlock vip faction upgrades?
By getting to I think level 31
Which is VIP 1
(I think)
what does the triage shooting ability do exactly? like increase fire rate, more damage, or is it just the emp with volt weapons thing?
More dps but I havent really had a chance to play with it too much
I should đ¤
theres an amazing implant mod that makes you invis when you get precision kills, I love pairing it with stryder or lookout(the volt precision) and a flechette or firefly gun mod
enemies constantly break aggro and you get healed for chewing through crowds
does anybody know why the gold traxus mod is for today? psn is down so i couldnt log in to check
It should be dif for everyone innit?
I found that implant
Idk if im ever gonna have the balls to run it lol
oh i couldve swore the gold mods were all the same.
couldve been confirmation bias but i remember seeing the mods in the armory when people were talking about new golds that first week
Idk tbh
Ive had it show up on white and green chest implants
I wish we could sort by that trait
I found it on someone else's body, never seen it prior
I didnt even realize what it did, I just replaced my white implant w it (it was green) and next thing I know, im going invisible lol
I didnt mind not being able to track individual perks before, but ever since discovering the perk I have to scan every single chest mod just in case it has it
When picking Cores, do they each have to be Unique or can I pick two of the same core and get 2x the effect?
Trying to run double Tag! on Vandal for increased Disrupt Cannon damage but not sure they'll both apply the damage increase or just one
Circuit Tracers plus WSTR or any of the snipers is a crazy combo
which response curve is most similar to destiny on controller?
Classic
spectre protocol is an insane blue implant that feels like it should be a gold ngl
free invis off bot kills??
on ANY shell?
I used this once!!! Died before I figured out what did it and ive been trying to find it ever since, its so good!!!
How much health does a downed runner have?
Double cores doesn't stack
Blast Off tho pairs well w Tag!
Increased damage and no self damage
It can be on green, too
But it's just on torso implants afaik, just like the invis-while-reviving
There is also one that gives you invis when you reload which doesnât seem like much but it can be nice
Does savior complex (increased revive speed when you're the only remaining crew member) work in solos?
It doesnât increase self-revive speed so no
It says it increases revive speed, and revive speed stat says it counts for self-revives as well
Yes
Or it "should"
The buff should appear on your HUD if so
Green Bully SMG is a great budget firearm
Awesome thanks!! I'll try to find one of those, they seem incredibly difficult to find lol
I'm really enjoying the Circuit Tracers weapon chip, but it seems they're not in the store. Does anyone know a way of finding them relatively reliably?
I've only found a single one of them that wasn't grey. They're really, really solid when paired with a Punch for UESC, I can basically infil with 2 volt batteries and leave with 1, sometimes 2, left.
how low can we get the cooldown on thief grapple? also recon drone?
My lowest was 28 seconds for the hook with a full backpack, although I'm not sure if I had any implants for tactical recovery
Spec in the recovery stats
Youâll only be able to spec in one at a time since there is augmented and tactical recovery
One of the weapon mods can drastically reduce the cool down
I forgot what it is called but basically if you get an elimination after using the ability, it reduces the cool down time
I donât understand the purpose of Railguns. They would make sense if we fought vehicles or stationary targets lol is there some kind of nuance or mods that make them more viable?
their purpose is that every time I get one as a faction reward it's an extra couple thousand credits in my wallet ngl
they're kind of just not as good as snipers at the moment
account based in Olympus Mons, Mars
they do 1shot body from a fair distance away
Account based in true land
that's fair, but I think I still prefer the sniper even if going for the headshot takes a little more
the only budget gun you need is punch
not even green
It might just be personal preference but I always struggled to get the best utility out of weapons that you need to charge up while consistently aiming at your target vs ones where you only need to aim once
but that's a playstyle/personal skill thing tbh more so than the actual weapon itself
My favourite budget gun is lowk the knife
railgun is a great opening volley
i mean...
BO2 ballistic knife in marathon when?
That would be a really funny yellow core for assasin or something
holy trvthnvke
What's the max aim assist you can get, and how does it combine with the volt weapons which have tracking projectiles?
Aim Assist is effectively bullet size
Range has more to do with volt weapon tracking
looking for 1 more for cryo runs im level 45 my buddy is 78 we trynna run shit down have a mic
would destroyer or assassin be better for a melee build?
you can 2 tap purple shields it's disgusting
Like in Apex ?
HOW CAN I FARM CIRCUIT TRACERS CHIP
does anyone feel like a lot of the runner specific cores, and cores in general are very weak?
Been wondering about this myself. Figured I just had not figured it out yet. For being called "cores", I'm not feeling it.
There are some good ones and a lot of underwhelming ones for sure
What does "Defeating UESC with knife kills gives credits" mean. Is it credits the item, or credits that will be awarded upon exfil/death. Important distinction.
this feels like the most appropriate channel to ask this: does anyone have any specific numbers on the impact of tactical/prime recovery and how thats calculated?
Weak is maybe not quite the reight word, but "niche" feels accurate
which does kinda make them weak when its using that slot of either something that may never matter or something that's always going to be good
it's the item
Dang thank you
Destroyer, you can push with shield + boost and knife
Assassin is for rat losers
assassin for homies who yearn to get those sweet sweet revives
we all know assassin is secretly a support runner
me when im in dust palace pinwheel and my stupid teammates die to the phalanxes shield uesc so i have to play bladedancer play assassin and stealth revive
time is a flat circle
thruster into heavy knife swing slightly early so you get the whiff animation and get the followup 2nd heavy swing faster
assassin cannot do this
well not wtih the gapclose but atleast you can do the same thing if you aim off target and then flick on after you hit heavy but before the swing finishes to force the whiff anim
since theres a delay between button press and it actually doing damage
Has anyone figured out the best melee sequence? Better to heavy melee or light? So far I've just been heavy attacking
if you are stacking melee damage and they arent full health its better to go for 1 light 1 heavy as far as i can tell
Alright, Ill try it, thank you
personally i prefer 2 heavies for most
lights combo can be nice but i feel tends to disappoint me more
but always start with a heavy
what are the opinions about triages synergy with the EMP stuff? like, the weapon chip that gives health/sheild regen when hitting an EMP target and whatever purple shell mod that improves his energy boost thing
is there any consensus on a good solo shell/build?
I'd like to steer away from assassin a bit, I was thinking thief, or triage
assasin is a very funny solo shell, purely cause i know how to cheese knife fights
(jump at max lunge distance, you just swipe at them without the lock on lunge)
(and it still connects)
is there a way to reduce the cooldown on the thief drone more so i can use it more often?
crazy tip, gonna try this, many thanks
its the same kind of thing in destiny with melees how it swipes, still hits, but doesnt lock on and lunge
its inconsistent, but jumping ALWAYS throws people off in a knife fight
knife seems to be bit overtuned, difficult to defend against with everything besides a shotgun
but yeah its fun
just keep an eye out for the 4TH assassin when your looting
yeah man solo seems to be dominated by assassins
yeah
feels like playing alien isolation I kid you not
his ult is actually really good for if you get caught out
just throw it AT the person or through a doorway and when they go in you basically get a free kill if you circle strafe them
that's actually clever, because instinct tells you to throw it under your legs haha
its a puck that bounces twice
toss that shit in a line for a MASSIVE smoked roation option
or a big fuck off arena that they cant see in or out of AND CANT SEE YOU IN EITHER
unless they use thermals, but whos using thermals in solo?
exactly this haha
noob question, whats the dmg multipler for backstabs? or these are instant? all I tried got mixed results, surely Im doing something wrong
heavy stabs crack blues and down in 1, purps are 2 heavys
i dont think theres a damage boost for backstabbing
i could be wrong tho
this explains why people often DO bring a knife to a gun fight
not too slow, huh?
still a 1vs3 scenario gives me the creeps
catch one out, claymores for the 2nd (or even 3rd) and then just corner peak the 3rd if hes still up
the number of times people are blindly pushing is beyond me, very risky behavior
same for mag dumping into destroyer shields
for some its like an instinct at this point
Yesterday I saw an assassin kill an assassin, and then get ambushed while looting by another assassin
Genuinely sounds like sum that has happen to me
trust noone, not even yourself
Regrettably I was also an assassin, which is how I could watch it happen
were all 4 of you by any chance hanging around bio-hazard on dire marsh
Overflow on Perimeter
cause i was the dead and decomposing vandal
Can you guys craft the build where you match in with a microphone FFS
I replaced my mic just for this game and nobody else uses it lol
remind me: does going over 100 of a stat actually change anything? example being 155 melee damage
Yes but iirc it has diminishing returns
I dont know the exact math
oooh fair noted :3
I will say someone did build a 350 melee damage assassin and apparently it always takes a minimum of 2 melee to down someone
There's a hard protection against one tapping in melee
Does anyone know how much damage can Riot Barrier take before breaking?
i saw a youtuber one shotting white sheilds with melee the other day
Then someone lied to me
Hmmmm, I've gotta see this silliness
i like buildcrafting, shame ill never be able to retain the gear i get :D (this is satire)
anyone else start exfils as rook then walk away just to mess with other teams?
not me but i should try that if i ever get a vault redo
i havent checked but i suspect that they expire after some time
they do
ahahah i love it
i also want to try out a build that combines destroyer with lmg + ankle breaker but i am not that skillful at times so lol
Itâs real tactic my teammates and I use. Start an exfil, get a good angle and wait. Or if weâre trying to do something hit the exfil and then just leave and do what we planned to do.
Is that message all scrambled up to anyone else?! lol
Okay never mind visual glitch lmao
Is there a good wiki yet with the different cores/implants? Trying to build my thief out around solo loot runs but she seems to mainly have support driven cores.
tauceti.gg is a decent wiki
Just found out green shield rook can survive direct explosion from his claymores. Just spawned in tailed a trio into Hauler and would hold a claymore in front of me and drop it when they get close, got three kills and would have won if they didnât have a triage. The funniest run Iâll ever have.
anyone have any real use for the railguns? i have 2 wasting space in my stash, i feel like a longshot would do a better job even farming wardens then the railguns, especially since the railguns have a 55m range
Does anyone know if the materialist plus or the rolls/abilities on cores are active without playing "the required shell"
Like does my materialist + proc if I run anyone other than vandal when having a vandal core?
Im trying to get the compiler fight unlocked so I can try out the spartan laser mod for the zues rg and see what the dps is like. But as far as actual use cases beyond that, im not sure lol
yes it just needs to be in your inventory, not even equiped
Materialist procs just being in inventory confirmed? I have seen other players/streamers switch em out end of raid
Im sure thats just out of fear of it not working
Makes sense, cheers. Good to know
Would rather play it safe and get the rewards than to not do it and it not work I suppose
the what :D
It makes the Zeus rg fire two projectiles at a time
that sounds pretty awesome, but it doesnt sound like the spartan laser
Thats precisely what I said
I was imagining the one from halo 3
didnt know it worked differently in any of the other games
I just only played up until 3 so I just said it to be sure lol
A Thief build I have been running to replenish credits/gather salvage from Dire Marsh as a solo in between running with my trio. The build is based around long-range engagements and being able to disengage from close-quarters combat.
Weapon choice:
Any precision rifle or longer-range AR works. I prioritize range and stability for mods. Chips are hard to recommend as all the early armory ones are kinda bunz.
Implants:
- Head: Regen V2: Nucal Rank 3: +25 self-repair and +10 revive are huge as a solo.
-Torso: Survival kit V2: Mida rank 6: +10 to Self repair, Revive, and 3 other stats - Legs: Graceful landings V2: Mida rank 4: +10 agility and +20 fall resistance. Good for getting away.
Cores:
- Boutique is available at Sekiguchi rank 3, and increases agility as you fill up your bag. More useful than Greed is Good which stipulates a full backpack.
Equipment:
-Best shields you can buy
-Best backpack you can buy
- bubble shield in the equipment slot if you have one. Keep smokes in your bag for extract or emergencies
Overall use:
Stay quiet and loot as many POI's as possible. Thief's goggles have gifted me many purple and even a legendary item in crates that other solos have missed.
This build excels in the mid to long range. Thief can get the high ground easily, often reaching areas where other shells simply can't. This allows you to take out other players who are in the open and challenge fights with the ability to self-rez if you get taken out (again, many shells cant get on top of buildings).
If you find yourself in a close-range engagement that you are not comfortable winning, you can pop a bubble shield or smoke. Use these items to break line of sight, grapple to get farther away than expected, and book it into the treeline/nearby buildings. The self-repair speed imparted by our implants helps get us back in the fight.
Use bots, distance, or height to give yourself the best self-rez chance. Remember this is a loot build, not a combat build.
Yo does anyone know why why heat capacity gets slammed to 0 when i equip all my implants?
i have 35 base, shield takes away 10
looking at all the implants they should be giving heat capacity, not taking away, one gives +4, another +5, but then equipping everything drops me from 25 to 0?
question: does aim assist actually do anything for keyboard and mouse players in this game or is it a dump stat??
id imagine not
i recall reading that it kind of makes bullets larger, so it helps
that's what i read
yeah it gives you like
a very narrow cone
so that if your target is within the cone when you shoot, you'll hit
even if you'd be shooting very slightly off
you could aim for a headshot and instead of grazing an inch past their head it'll fully hit
it's like a very small AOE for your bullets
Does anyone know if Efficient Curatives perk works on advanced shields and patch kits or just green ones?
Its hard to tell if I am getting extra benefit as the blue ones already give you full shield and health. Speed maybe?
"using a shield charge or patch kit has a change to double its effectiveness"
does
smokescreen only drop smokes on a certain height?
as in if you throw it too high does it not work?
I think the game just has a hard time calculating your actual distance to the ground
Has anyone found the new weapon chip "Punishment" that gives bonus damage vs [REDACTED] combatants? Is it talking about the Compiler?
LMAO, I have a materialist+ grey leg implant
Yes
As in, yes, the compiler is [Redacted]
Thank you
to be fair I am having trouble anticipating when I could use it during the drop, I swear it remains red and inactive most of the time. It is difficult to time
wait whats redacted
YOU KNOW WHO ELSE IS [Redacted]?.......
...
..
.
MY [Redacted]
Are we memeing or can I ask you to clarify
I genuinely dont know what [Redacted] is
we need a channel for #performancecrafting đ
Redacted is a term, usually used by government entities, to describe something that is withheld or removed from the record
In Marathon, assume anything described as [REDACTED] refers to aliens, anomalous effects, time travel, etc
And as an enemy type, specifically the compiler boss
hey
so for the universal mod "sucker punch", how much does it increase melee damage for depending on rarity?
example: little matt has a green sucker punch and is currently in a firefight with another player. he hits his shots enough for sucker punch to proc the damage boost, but he doesnt have his knife out. how much damage would he do compared to if his knife was out?
Ahh thank you, I knew what redacted means lol, just not what people were referring to in the server
does anyone have the numbers on how much a light attack vs a heavy attack does with the knife? Let's say I have 55 melee damage as my stat
Hey guys, is there a website you all use to post builds or look up the specifics of how various stats and passive effects work?
I saw a chart once, though I can't remember where so I can't give you exact numbers, sorry.
What I remember is that a light attack does close to the amount that your actual melee damage stat is. So like if you have 55, you probably do like 47 damage, or something like that. And then a heavy attack was a little less than double what your light attack is. The numbers scale to push everything closer to a median number.
is it just me or is the hardline just terrible in all fields
especially that god awful iron sight good lord
traxus you make me want to kill myself
I don't think the Hardline is that great but I have a soft spot for it
hardline is generally pretty bad, imo it's because it's in an awkward spot
fire rate & recoil is too high for long range, and having to spam fast is bad for mid-close range
plus the iron sights being easily the worst in the game
might just not be my weapon
the damage still feels weak for a percision
the damage is definitely not nearly as hard hitting as I'd think but it's still a pretty decent hitter imo
though it is really disappointing that if you land your shots you tend to lose most engagements to most other weapons given its weird state
I am convinced based off my testing that there is a hardcap at 100 for stats, does anything over 100 actually affect anything in game or is that a myth?
There's certainly a hierarchy of weapons and their respective class that they're in.
You don't make the V11 Punch and Bully SMG as good as they are as some of the earlier guns you can buy by accident
The Hardline is there to fill that gap of "More range than the ARs and SMGs" but you swap it out immediately for a BR33, V66 or M1T
Ive found that as soon as you put a scope and 20% recoil reduction on the hardline, it becomes 100% more useable
I have to assume that over 100 matters, but has diminishing returns, only because of how easy it is to get over 100
I just want the devs to come out and tell us so ppl can figure this out
What weapon to take as a newbie to remotely stand a chance?
I was thinking about that volt sbm, lemme check the name
Bully and punch
I am working on arachne knife upgrades haha
Fair, but you asked what weapons to take as a newbie
Bully has good fire rate and big bullets so consistent hits
Punch has massive fist-sized bullets and good damage-rpm
aim assist vs. recoil barrel for precision weapons, what's good on what? recoil for br is whati like
recoil barrel for volley every time
V11 Punch is insane for 50 credits
Might be a slight hot take but smart play goes further than you think. Free kits are totally viable. Catch someone off guard or at the wrong time, and you can take them out easy- even if they have a better kit. Then you grab that gear and you're in business. It may not seem it at first but gear is pretty easy to come by. Maybe not all the best stuff but it is pretty easy to get kits together that are better than free kits.
Hell, you can run assassin with just a knife and do damage.
I think too, knowing what fights to pick, as @winged bone suggested. I think the Hardline suffers in part because it encourages engaging at a distance that allows the other team to pivot to a range better suited to their weapon(s).
Yeah, also true. Tbh, another way to get gear is just do the contracts. Go solo as assassin and sneak around the maps. You can get a lot of gear that way and build up a more competitive kit.
Gear definitely helps but I think if you are really skilled it isn't as helpful (this is not me btw đ¤Ł).
Assassin with some smokes is great for contract runs solo.
my lads. How does the knife lunge works? is there any objective distance? halo infinite energy sword comes to my mind in multiplayer, but here it works differently
Nah it's basically energy sword
100%
It feels like the heavy attack was lifted straight from Halo 3
anyone know whhy my enduring sprint kit v2 head implant with tox injectors nukes my heat capacity stat to 0 from like 50 when i equip it?
listed stats are heat capacity +4 agility +10 fall resistance +10 loot speed +10
but whenever i equip it my listed heat capacity goes to
dequipping my shield fixed it
seems like this bug has been known to bungie for at least a month now lol.. looked at the forums
I think it would be rad if you could make your own kits much like a sponsor or free kit but your stuff from the vault all set up. So while you have a little of free time waiting on the homie or you're just getting on for the day you can set yourself up a couple kits. So your next couple loadouts are ready to go. So if you get smacked right out of the gate you dont have to sit there raging for the next five minutes and build another load out. You can just equip it and have it ready to go.
didn't even lnow you could do this, now I need to google it
yeah, or like presets you could autofill from vault/auto buy from armory
Were you running a reinforced shield?
guys, how many enzyme replicators do i need and what faction they are for ? I have 18 in my vault and i am wondering how many i can sell if i can sell them even
Because i know like 7 biolens seeds are for blue
Check tauceti gg
1000 credit âkit templateâ in the armory and itâs a 2x2 or 3x3 item would be cool
apparently arachne wants them
on a material below sources there is a usage list
if i equip mods to a gun that has low recoil and the recoil stat goes to above 100 doe sthat mean it will have no recoil negative recoil
my M77 has a -9.0 in recoil
wait. 2 green recoil reducers gets it to 93%
i see
How much melee dmg do you need to down a green shield in 1 hit?
This isnât really a build crafting thing, but general chat is going by too fast. So, does anyone know where your voice comes from when you prox broadcast while flying a thief drone? Do other players hear your voice from the drone or your character?
The energy amp consumable doesnât work how you would expect so I looked at the data and made a short video explaining them
how does aim assist work on pc? there is attachments that increase aim assist but is it useless
aim assist makes your bullets wider
so like, if you're aiming at someone and you were going to miss their head by an inch or two, increased aim assist means that the wider hitbox on the bullet will still give you a headshot
it basically turns your stream of bullets from a line into a very narrow cone pointed at the enemy
ahh I see thank you thank you
i could be wrong on this but i think it's only for uesc
there is definitely some bullet magnetism for players but i dont think the attachments change it at least
very anecdotal though, could be entirely wrong
it might only apply to the aim assist volt weapons?
it just seems odd to have in the first place
i dont want aim assist
let me have my bad aim raw
My issue was I couldnât figure out how to turn off aim assist, but I also find that kind of a bummer and mildly confusing myself even, why would a game thatâs playable on pc with mouse, what is the point in aim assist plus stats⌠and why would I want it if I donât even like aim assist?
I feel as though that stat should be altered, increasing aim assist just doesnât make senseâŚ
hey im a goober and have been struggle bussing to get information on the damage difference between fully charging and just shooting some of these volt weapons can someone help me before i kermit sudoku?
you might as well just shoot
charging has gotten me killed many a time
Character, not drone
Aim Assist increases the consistency of headshots, is the short answer
It's for all hostiles
I think Range is the only stat that effects volt weapon lockon
Going by Destiny stats, aim assist is what made the shot more likely to connect, but accuracy was the stat that increased headshot consistency
That's a weird way to delineate the stats
In other words, aim assist helps you put the crosshair over the target, but if youâre shooting out of your weapons ideal range (donât get me started on range) then accuracy determines if the shot connects and if the stat is high enough, is a headshot
This is just if itâs the same as Destiny though. Some things might be different under the hood
to be more accurate, (in destiny 2) there is both an accuracy cone and aim assist cone
the accuracy cone is where initial trajectory is determined, you want it as small as possible.
the aim assist cone will pull or "magnetism" the shot onto the target, preferring precision hitbox over bodyshot hitbox. you want it as large as possible
accuracy cone shoots body, aim assist cone covers precision = precision hit for example
the aim assist cone has a range limit and its width is also affected by the range stat
but like meaty said theres probably under the hood differences in marathon
theres also some jank about fov relative to the cones etc
small elaboration i missed here is that there was a limit to how far the aim assist cone will pull the bullet afaik (not sure if still true? cone science is weird)
so if the shot goes into dead bottom of the accuracy cone then depending on weapon archetype and custom exotic tuning its possible for the aim assist cone to not pull it far enough to be a precision hit
also destiny has âaccuracy cone growthâ as different stat to the âaccuracy coneâ stat itself.
accuracy cone growth is more important, so you if ever see this in marathon make sure to invest in it
