I think people are overall too closed minded in this regard. I have found success wiping cryo lobbies with a variety of builds. Granted there is some restriction to wanting close-quarters favored weapons. But I've seen snipers work great for some too and have had success trying them out as well. It's all about shifting your playstyle accordingly, don't be scared to experiment and die!

a.to remove them from the backpack and you can only bring in what fits in the equipment slot (this forces teams to plan better, 1 brings shields, another nades, the 3rd claymores) Id also increase stack size if they went this route. maybe 3-4 nades.
b. remove the auto equip mechanic and force players to go into their bags to equip equipment.
